Heavy, the President of the Washington DC chapter of the Royal Bastards MC reigns as the King in a dirty city of porn, money and blood.

Heavy saved my life 7 years ago and told me to never return. He was my shield, my rock, with dark grey eyes that burned through me. Now I’ve walked right back in to Heavy’s world to see the hatred and rage in his eyes. But he cannot hide th

Dark and Gritty

This author doesn't pull any punches so if the demented world of these one percenters are more than you can handle...don't pick it up. BUT if you are like me and love MC's that are hard driving, hard living alphas you need to read this quick book that kept me turning page after page because I just couldn't put it down.

Heavy had saved Dani seven years ago from the hands of his very own father who at that time was the club's prez. A lot has changed in those seven years and now Heavy

The Heavy Crown in a fun and entertaining, quick read. The storyline is easy to follow. The characters are great and easy to like. And the book is over all, very well written. Heavy and Dani take us on a journey filled with hate, love, and the unexpected. This book will kee you flipping pages to find out how it all ends.🖤🖤

The Heavy Crown MC-Washington DC by Linny Lawless is dark, edgy, gritty and brutal at best. This story is about Heavy and Dani and what transpired 7 years ago when he saved her from his father who at the time was President of the Royal Bastards MC - Washington DC chapter who is savagely violent. When Heavy saw Dani the first time she arrived at a club party with her friend he was struck by her beauty but knew this innocent did not belong in this club with these rough men. Now Heavy has to get Da ...more

Why all the high ratings????

Plot: D

There wasn't much to the plot. It kind had promise, but the execution left something to be desired. I knew going in this was supposed to be dark, but it was really just grotesque. Almost like the author was trying to shock us. Dani was sexually assaulted, off page. However there is a brutal assault on a secondary villain in the story. It was already gruesome, but to me it had, to me, fetishized racial undertones that I found distasteful.

Dang! What I love first and foremost about this story is how raw and real it feels. There is no cuteness, no sugary sweetness. If there was ever an author or MC story that read real, authentic this author, this book is it.

I really enjoyed reading about Heavy and Dani. They really fit together in that "they were a challenge for each other," way. Heavy is a gruff character who was raised hard so he is hard. I liked this balance of care for Dani and his commitment and loyalty to his club. Dani was

This book was okay. Not good or bad but just okay. It wasn't what it was about that I had a problem with but the writing. It didn't flow is the best I can describe. I didn't feel what was going on but it was like someone telling a story without emotions. Lackluster.

Heavy at the beginning of the book saved Dani by sending her away. She had a bad home life and was running away. His club was bad but his dad the president was even worse. She came back seven years later and Heavy, now president saves

*First time reading Linny Lawless

I was so intrigued by the very beginning of this book I was reading and reading and then I was just scratching my head. Instead of a nice flowing story, I feel like I have read two different books here. The beginning was great I loved Heavy he seemed to be such a great guy for an MC but then Heavy and Danika meet up again and it is like a totally different story. I am not big on the whole porn storyline that some of the authors took, but I have to say Linny didn'

I enjoyed the book but it ending was kind of cut off felt like there should have been a little bit more . The others thing that bothered me is how The Gamble thing was handled and Dani's lack of reaction .

No rating - DNF. There was an avalanche of things I disliked about this. The club, the H, the sex. I’ve tried this author many times and I guess she’s just not for me.

This book started really great and then fell flat. The last half of the book just felt rushed to me. I wanted more information about things than just a sentence or two that advanced the story.

Dark MC read

I read this via my kindle unlimited subscription and am leaving my review voluntarily. This is part of the multi author Royal Bastards Series and while you could read this as a standalone, it's helpful to start from the beginning. This is a dark, twisted MC story with triggers. It is NOT a happy Hallmark love story.

The Heavy Crown: Washington, DC Chapter
Royal Bastards MC, Book 1
By: Linny Lawless

I thoroughly enjoyed this MC romance, it is a fast paced story with interesting storylines that are captivating from start to end. Linny Lawless masters the motorcycle club world, she captures the camaraderie amongst club members and the drama amongst some of the members, like in most families there is drama and she includes t

Heavy is the son of the Royal Bastards MC, Washington DC President. He was left with his father by his mother as a young boy and his father started turning his fists on him after his mother left. She needed to get away from Trick, his father if she wanted to stay alive. Heavy has no love for his father, but the MC is all he knows, and he also knows that the gavel will be handed down to him eventually. However, it may be sooner than either Trick or Heavy are aware of. Trick is a ruthless man who ...more

Woah Nelly - is this ever a dark, ballsy MC Ride. When the story begins, Heavy is the current Prez’s son and trust me when I say he detests his father and his actions. Heavy is a take charge guy and devoted to his club and brothers but he hates his father's methods. He meets Dani when she is an 18 year old runaway who if his father has his way, will be sold to the Russians. Heavy is attracted to her and they spend one night together before he buys her a bus ticket and tells her to never come bac ...more

This is the second book in the series that I've DNF and I'm starting to realise that it's a series filled with hit or misses; this falling under misses.

I understand that each book is based in different cities/states, written by a different author and that each story is going to be different from the last or next. However what I don't understand, nor do I appreciate is how the core foundation of the MC isn't consistent in every book; I expect that at the very least! This was a massive

This book will ha e you hooked from the start. From the start your pulled into the action and the main couples story.
Dani is on the run when she meets Heavy at a club party. It’s a meeting to leave lasting impressions on them both.
Heavy sees Dani across the room of the club house and thinks 3 things: She’s hot as hell, she’s looks innocent, and he has to get her out there as soon as possible for her safety. In doing so he saves her life.

Royal Bastards MC, Book 1
By: Linny Lawless

I love gritty, action packed, steamy MC stories, and Linny Lawless always comes through. This is the first in her Royal Bastards MC DC Chapter, and it has a little bit of everything. We meet Dani. At age 18, she is with her friend at a party at the club, and Heavy, saves her from a terrible fate. Now 7 years later, they are back together, and the stakes are even higher. Their love is stron

Wow, for anyone who are familiar with Linny Lawless and Elizabeth Knox and the Royal Bastards will have had a glimpse of Heavy in Cobalt and Bet On Me.
This is his and Danika's story and it's not pretty.
Heavy first met Dani when she ran away from home and ended up at one of The Bastards party, he knew she was in his dads sights and so got her on a bus leaving town, within a year he had ousted his dad as Prez.
Seven years later Dani is back in town and about to work at The Dollhouse, The Bastards

Intense. Hardcore. Sex, drugs and cash galore. We meet Dani first who, like too many other girls, has a horror show for a childhood. So much so that she immediately escapes when she turns eighteen. That very night she meets Heavy and he saves her life. Then he puts her on a bus, hoping she never returns. Seven years later, they are in the same place only Heavy is President of the Washington DC chapter now. Now, there is nothing and no one that can keep Heavy from owning this girl; body, heart, a ...more

I enjoyed The Heavy Crown tremendously. It is very fast paced and you will not want to put it down. Although it’s connected to the Royal Bastards series it can be read as a stand alone. It does reference some things that happened in some other books in the series but the author tied it in so that you get the important details so you are not confused about what happened. What I did like is that there is no slow build up like some other books where the author talks so much about background and wha ...more

Although a good story and plot, I have to say this felt a bit rushed, the content skimmed down so you don't get the full details of what's going on. You lose the depth with each scene, be it a fight scene or conversation. It is such a shame because I have loved all these books, i like getting fully involved in my reading and just felt I couldn't do it with this. I can't explain it more clearly without going into detail and giving spoilers which I don't want to do. If you don't mind a story that ...more

The Heavy Crown is a little intense, a lot hot, and such a good read.

Dani runs away from a traumatic past and finds help in an unexpected place. Heavy is the kind of alpha that is hard to love and rough around the edges. Dani and Heavy's lives come back full circle and the progression of these two characters is intriguing to watch.

By the end of Heavy Crown, I appreciated Heavy and am glad he was worthy of a girl like Dani.

If you like motorcycle club stories, if you like complicated characters,

Heavy and Dani

The book carries a warning that it may contain triggers. A few books do this and sometimes I don't actually notice them, I did in this.
I found this quite disturbing in parts and at first I couldn't find anything likeable about the lead characters, however the required change that they must go through meant that suddenly I felt more invested in them and a happy ending.
I'm not going into details but it's a testament to the authors writing skills that she could write so succinctly a

If you read Linny's book Cobalt you have met Heavy briefly.. If you haven't welcome to the writing world of Linny Lawless..

Heavy is a no drama kind of guy. He takes what he wants when he wants it. When he first meets Dani she is running away from home. To keep her safe he puts her on a bus to who knows where. .No 7 years later he runs into her at a strip club.. There is something about this woman that gets under his skin and no woman has ever done this to him. When others find out she is back i

This book has made it as one of my favorites by Linny Lawless. It's impossible to not be wrapped up immediately in this book. Once the story begins to unfold, it's fast and keeps your wanting to know more.

This is an intense, gripping and enthralling love story, with a lot of twists and turns that you can't begin to imagine. It's full of unconditional love based on a past shared experience, one that has broken their hearts and souls but that themselves can mend, and subsequently heal each other.

Dani ran away when she was 18. She went to her friend’s house who talked her into going to a parch-in party. Her friends boyfriend was trying to rough her up. Heavy steps in and rescues her. He takes her to the bus station and tells her to never come back.

Heavy’s father and president of the club was mad. Her disappearance cost him money and her friends death cost him more.

Years later Heavy was in his strip club and Dani was there to dance. Will he save her again? What will happen when his father

The Heavy Crown: Washington, DC Chapter by Linny Lawless is a Motorcycle Club Romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Rodney Falcon. This is the first book in the Royal Bastards MC Series.

Linny’s books always leave me begging for more. This story is fast paced and does have an insta-love connection between Heavy and Danika. The book does come with a Warning “Book may contain scenes that are triggers. Please proceed with caution.” I can’t wait for more books to be released in this series

This book is intense, gritty and hardcore and I absolutely loved every minute of it!! Heavy has made an appearance in this author’s previous book, Cobalt, so he is a familiar character. We actually meet Danika first and like a lot of girls she has had a pretty messed up home life and ran away. She ends up at a Royal Bastards’ MC party where Heavy actually saves her life. Heavy then put her on the bus hoping to never cross paths with her again but everything is not meant to be and they come full ...more
