Although Surrender does an excellent job of showing how dependent women in the 19th century were on men, Marcus and Jenny spend the book at cross-purposes with each other, and by the time they got on the same page, I no longer cared.

Maria's review said it for me. I'll just add that, regardless of the state of her relationship with the H, the h shouldn't have been making out with the OM, especially when she wasn't sure she could trust him.

I couldn't finish this one, because I lost interest.
