I had fun reading this one. You get an age gap, daddy kink, and a happily ever after all wrapped up in a holiday mc romance novella.
December moved to a new place with her brother for a fresh start. Leo is the enforcer for the Royal Bastards MC whose been a total grinch since he was betrayed by his wife. When they meet there’s an instant attraction neither of them were ready for.
There’s drama, there’s violence, there’s spanking, and even some deflowering. Which I almost complete forgot about until right now😂
It did do something that isn’t my favorite in novellas and it threw in a little too much and didn’t have the time to really explore it all. I think with novellas simple will always be better.
But I did have a good time reading it and the spice is solid so if you’re looking for a short Christmas MC novella it’ll scratch that itch for sure!
Romance genre: MC Series: Royal Bastards Length: 138 pages
Plot: December is a new arrival in town, fresh out of prison and looking for a new start. She meets that new start in the form of Leo, a member of the local MC. But he's not sure if he should even be interested in December - she's half his age, and he's just out of a relationship . But he can't leave her alone, and she's got it bad for him too. They'll have to work it out before they combust.
Character development: Leo was such a grouch, but it's understandable, given what his ex did to him not too long ago. I was surprised he wanted to kill his ex, but I think that's part of the ethos of the Royal Bastards. I was a little confused about December's prison sentence. It seems she was sentenced while a teenager, meaning she would have gone to juvie, but she didn't get out until after she was 18, which means they had to transfer her to grown-up prison at some point. Normally, as far as I understand it, a drug sentence wouldn't see a teenager sentenced as an adult, nor would it be one of those sentences that lasted past the age of majority. Anyways, that's probably a small thing. It just nagged at me. I did like the light Daddy kink - I think it worked between these two characters. He got to take care of someone who truly needed him, and December absolutely needed someone to take care of her, especially given her awful parents.
Grammar/formatting: needed another round of editing - a lot of commonly confused words like you're/your as well as a lot of comma errors
This book is a promising start to the series and the Royal Bastards New Orleans Chapter. Wonderfully told, captivating and comprehensible and so sweet and hot - fabulous and great - straight to the next book by Crimson Syn in this series "Inked fo Vengance"!
A short holiday mc romance when Leo the club enforcer meets his princess. Who has had a rough life but needs his protection of he can solve his own problems.
What a great look into what the Royal Bastards MC series it going to be. If it’s anything like A Biker for Christmas, the series is going to be outstanding. Crimson has given us a great storyline, wonderful characters and as I said a great insight to what’s to come.
I love Crimson’s books as she has such a wonderful flare for the written word. A Biker for Christmas is a short novella that is back with action, heat and romance. The characters are well defined and easy to relate to. In this story you have two people that in a sense are broken. I don’t want to give away too much but watching these two interact is wonderful. You have the alpha biker who’s become tough as nails and the feisty girl who gives him attitude at every turn. Can they find a way to break away from their troubled pasts which come into play?
Loved Loved Loved this storyline. I can’t wait to read more. 2 Thumbs Up and 5 stars.
Could have been pretty good if not for the dialogue.
The story had promise...at least for a novella length story. The female character had a strong backstory. There was a crisis, though there could have been more dreams. But again it was a short story. Also, these are always going to have some insta-love due to it's brevity. At least the dude didn't propose immediately, right?
The problem was mostly with the cheesy dialogue & of course the gross sex talk (anything with "daddy" grosses me out). I swear I don't judge others their kink, but I don't find it sexy in a book myself.

I wish I could have loved this book. I did enjoy it to some degree. The plot was good and I liked Leo and the club a lot. I was wanting a Christmas story, and it fit the bill. The ridiculous amount of typos had me very distracted though. When I saw one on the first page, I should have stopped. I continued on, only to find them on what seemed like every page. So frustrating! I am still looking forward to reading more of this new series!
I enjoyed having a peak at where the Royal Bastards MC. It was wrote in perfect Crimson style. A Biker For Christmas was hot and sexy. Leo and December were two broken souls who were perfect for each other. December gives Leo one hell of a fight at the start. She's extremely feisty and takes no shit. When the two start to get close and give into their sexual urges. They find peace within the other and can understand the pain they've each had to overcome. A ghost from Leo's past pops up with a surprise and tries to steal their happiness, but doesn't succeed. Leo and December give the other a second chance at life and love in this holiday MC romance. The double epilogue gives you some of the Present Day story of the Lousiana Chapter. I'm looking fwd to more of the story by Crimson Syn. I loved seeing her Hellbound Lovers MC & Death Row Shooters MC names pop up in the book. I can't wait to read the books each of the other 27 authors wrote in the Royal Bastards MC series.
This was my first Crimson Syn read and I loved every single word. Can't wait for more RBMC but in the meantime I'll be reading more from this talented author!
This is a great short intro to the series to come. the characters were well written and the book was hard to put down and did i mention how hot some of the scenes are? If you want a short, hot MC book this is the one for you.
Wow where do I begin on this review..... I don't want to spoil it for the reader because this was an amazing Novella that Crimson wrote. I love the holidays but Christmas is one of my Favorite Holidays and to get a love story for Christmas was a treat. Especially because it had two things I love in a book it was an MC story and had the MC parts in it but it was also a second chance at romance which was totally amazing for me.
December and Leo are both amazing characters and they bring to the table just what each other needs and wants. December comes of as naive and childish at first but then she becomes the woman she is with Leo's help. Leo is all Alpha Male and he is so swoon worthy that I need a Leo in my life!
What an introduction to the Royal Bastards MC!!! Holy crap!! These boys are not messing about! Leo has an immediate connection to Ember, he can't explain it and hell, why should he? He's the enforcer, road name Guardian, protector of those he calls family. No one messes with him and his brothers and gets away with it. Ember, she is like a beacon of light to his darkness, she is sassy and a bit feisty too. Love her! She has experienced her own traumas and she feels the inexplicable connection with Leo, and it's just beautiful. Absolutely loved this book! Can't wait to see what comes next!
A fantastic start to the series, all about second chances and so much more. Motorcycle clubs, rivalry, a strong independent feisty young woman, a hard edged alpha male with a chip on his shoulder, plenty of twists and turns, a little action, a Christmas to remember, a second chance at love in a May December romance. Thoroughly enjoyable characters, interesting storyline, well worth your time to read.
I finished this book in 1hr, I just couldn't stop. Guardian AKA Leo is one bad biker who got very lucky to end up with December. They're perfect for each other, both hurting from things that happened in the past and living day by day because of it, but a chance meeting? They're fire together, Thank You Author Crimson Syn and I can't wait to continue with the rest of the series.
This was a new author for me. It was not a disappointment either. The characters were well written. The chemistry between Leo and December were outstanding. Will be reading more from this author
Omg I fell in love with Leo. That man brought me to my knees and had me wanting to call him Daddy. I'm so happy he was able to find love again with Ember. Ember reminded me of myself she's a tough cookie and stands up for herself. I can't wait to see what happens next and I pray their son makes it through the other side of what lies ahead.
From page one I was hooked! I loved Christmas and Leo's story from beginning to end. Brought out every emotion and of course it was totally hot! Looking forward to the rest of The Royal Bastards MC.
Okay so this story and I didn't click. It's good, I just had too many small issues with it for my full enjoyment. This is a Daddy/little girl book and while I can tolerate that trope I don't enjoy it and wouldn't have chosen the story had I known. There are quite a few typos. Editing needs another round. The story just lacked for me in connection and emotions., among other things. Doesn't mean I won't read more from this author, just means this one didn't work for me.
3 1/2 stars! Prequel for the Royal Bastards MC (RBMC)
According to the reading list, this is the first story (prequel) to start the RBMC series. These are authored by multiple authors developing / utilizing the same story universe around the RBMC. There are various spin-off series featuring different chapters and other MCs across the country.
** These are darker themed stories around ‘one percenters’ motorcycle clubs. There are scenes that may be difficult for sensitive readers, so high level examples are listed below. **
I am not offended by many subjects, so I enjoyed the premise of this story. It involves the Enforcer for the main chapter of the RBMC, Leo (aka Guardian), and a young woman, December, that was recently released from juvie.
The potential for the story is there, but this needed to be a full length story to set the foundation for the series imo. This is especially important as the President of their chapter is also over the National, and thereby, over all of the other chapters as well.
Another issue for me was the multiple prologues. I found them to be unnecessary and confusing, since one of them skips ahead to the present and mentions MCs and characters not introduced in the current story. Normally this might not be a problem, but given the content and the fact that it is not for the next story in the combined series, it just didn’t fit and left me feeling wondering what was truly coming and dissatisfied.
This story also needs to be edited for content and grammar, as I found numerous errors. These ranged from incorrect grammar such as missing words, incorrect tenses, typos and extra inserted words, to content comprised of data issues and inconsistencies. I have uploaded (and shared) my notes on Goodreads.com for anyone interested.
This story, at its core, revolves around trust. December, aka Ember and Baby Girl, was sent to juvie for almost 4 years at sixteen for trusting the wrong person. Leo was married to his high school sweetheart, but had his heart broken after she cheated on him with a prospect for the club. Leo is quite a few years older than December, although we don’t know exactly how much since his age is never disclosed. They each have an immediate attraction to the other, but can they overcome their past to find a future together? Especially when a ghost from Christmas past makes an appearance.
⛔️ Contains references to, or scenes detailing, subject matter that may be a trigger or offensive to some, including, but not limited to: adult language; derogatory terms; mental health challenges; steamy adult intimate scenes with mild elements of dominance, submission, spanking for punishment and pleasure, restraints, Daddy and Baby Girl relationship, etc.; violence such as abduction, murder, death, torture, assault, fighting, betrayal, coercion, blackmail, threats, cheating, human trafficking, mafia / cartels, arson, gun running, drug distribution, etc.
What a great read! A girl who has a troubled past meets a man who is trouble! This book is very well written with a storyline that promises to give you thrills, action, a bit of mystery and finally it gives you love. December is that girl and from the first time he lays eyes on her he's hooked but tries his hardest to keep away from her. She's a bit younger than he is and although she has a bit of a past, she is still innocent. Leo "Guardian", is your typical alpha male biker, but he also has a moral code that he is now struggling with since she has stepped into his line of site. Now, he knows that he will do anything not only to protect her, but to also make her his.
Even though I tend to balk at the "call me daddy" reads, this one did not leave a bad taste in my mouth and I loved it. I loved everything about this book, from their first meeting, their second meeting, the action, the intrigue and mostly, the biker romance (which is not like any other type of romance), I loved it all. So much so that I cannot recommend this book highly enough! This is the beginning, the appetizer for stories to come from the Royal Bastards MC and I hope that you do not miss this one because from here on out, they will be coming for you..one week at a time. Get ready people, the Royal Bastards MC will be coming into your home swiftly and you will not be able to take a deep breath once they do!
A Biker for Christmas is one of the books in Crimson Syn’s Royal Bastards MC series. In this book readers follow an age-gap and bumpy romantic journey of December Falls and Leo Winters. Both were betrayed by their partners and suffer emotional wounds. December was tricked into delivering drugs by her ex-boyfriend, Dion. She got caught and spent time in juvie. Her parents distanced themselves from her. Leo found his wife of 12 years in bed with another man. Trust is a sore spot for them. But Destiny has something else in mind when she has them cross paths at an RBMC event. Will they find happiness or will the demons of their past haunt them? You must read this book to find out.
Ms. Syn does a remarkable job with this romantic suspense. I liked how she weaves intrigue into her plot with ghosts of Leo’s past. Her mastery of literary devices such as dual POV, multi-dimensional characters, and descriptive language contribute to smoothly moving her plot along. Ms. Syn’s writing style was easy to follow and her characters are likeable. I liked that she includes two epilogues. The first nicely wraps up Leo and December’s journey. The second ends with a cliffhanger as she sets up the next book in this series. Overall, this was an enjoyable read.
Crimson has crafted a compelling storyline with wonderful characters, offering a glimpse of what happens next. The story features an alpha biker who has toughened up and a feisty girl who challenges him.
This novella is packed with action, off-the-charts chemistry, and romance. The characters are well-developed and relatable, portraying two somewhat broken characters. Their interactions are captivating.
Leo and December could not be more perfect for one another. We loved their instant connection and chemistry; it was pure fire. We understood Leo's concerns regarding his and December's age difference, regardless of their compelling spark, but he knew in his heart of hearts he would never be able to stay away. Why, when, his Vixen felt the same way.
Overall, we have to say we thoughly enjoyed this one. The ending could not be more perfect as we got a glimpse of their life years later. Still in love more the ever...
December tries to heal her broken heart for having lost her parents and her boyfriend although in different ways, and has moved to live with her brother after leaving juvi where she has spent the last 4 years locked up for doing her es a favor, he left her without looking back. Her friend Gain convinces her to go to a party at her boyfriend ‘s MC clubhouse and that’s where she meets Leo. Leo is the MC’s enforcer, and he still lives bitter from the betrayal he suffered a few months before when he caught his wife with another MC member in bed. But as soon as he sees December he can’t help but be attracted to her. Despite the age difference, Leo begins a relationship with her and just when he was beginning to be happy, his ex returns to his life announcing that she is pregnant with his child. Short, with a bit of drama and sex scenes that will make you melt.🔥🔥
Buckle up, folks, and get ready to dive into the dramatic world of December Falls and Leo Winters, two lovebirds who've been royally screwed over by their exes - and honestly, who wouldn't have trust issues after that? December's ex-boyfriend convinced her to be a drug mule (um, what?), while Leo caught his wife getting cozy with another guy (yikes). That's some serious emotional luggage right there. But, fate being the meddling matchmaker that it is, these two collide, and let's just say it's a hot mess that burns for ages. I'm always impressed with Crimson Syn's writing style - the woman doesn't hold back! Definitely recommend this book if you're into hot, sexy alpha bikers and feisty women who can give them a run for their money.
I’m new to the MC reading game, and when I saw a Christmas themed chance to get started I just couldn’t resist. Crimson Syn has this way of developing characters that not only make your heart race, but have a relatability factor that had me saying to myself “oh yeah…I’ve definitely fucked up communication JUST to be stubborn, I see you Ember”. It was short, sweet and just the right amount of angsty without feeling rushed; a wonderful introduction to the world of The Royal Bastards MC. I’m a sucker for a happy ending, but even more so during Christmas - the season of second chances.
I loved this story. Wished it would've been longer. Now with that said, the second ending chapter confused me. I don't get how we jumped from one couple to a next generation situation. We didn't get to see any of Bulldogs love story but we're going to jump into a story about his son with nothing to go on to how he came to be. It's confusing and a little disappointing. It makes me feel like we're missing important information and skipping over stories. Am I the only one feeling this way or is this not the first book in the RBMC series? I found a online page that said to start with this book but I'm beginning to think it could be wrong.
