Good things come to those who wait

What an amazing book. Grab your box of tissues, you are in for one emotional read. The author did a fantastic job of showing us what it means to wait. I think these two would have waited forever if the twins hadn’t intervened. Sometimes fear of losing what you have keeps you from reaching out for your destiny. No wonder Winter waited, the big reveal is going to throw you off your game, but it’s not the reveal you’re thinking of. I really enjoyed this book, and

I was sent an Arc for honest review by the author

I was a little nervous of reading book about an older generation heroine and hero. But I was dragged into the store in no time. I loved her twins and their Bond with Aaron. i have children by self but mine are little and it hit home about one day they would be leaving the nest too. There was sad moments and happy that pulled on your heart. Aaron was the perfect Alpha hero for her because he let her make the moves. I fell in love with mystic mount

What A Way to Start A New Series

This was a good book. It was very well written, and totally had my full attention. But once I got totally invested in Aaron and his issues with Celeste, it end on me. I want to know how he's going to explain things to her, if they will work it out. That really irritated me; it was getting solo good and then nothing. BUT now since I've read the updated file...the ending was completely sigh worthy. It's so sweet, loving, and steamy. I cant wait for book 2.

I loved Winter. Celeste and Aaron are my new couple crush. I love how Aaron has been in Celeste's life for years...and the issues that keep them apart are slowly revealed. So many great little nuggets of information and creativity. If you love shifter stories this book is for you

Ahh such a sweet and sexy love story about a polar bear shifter and his lady love who he has been patiently waiting for for years. Talk about a patient guy. I loved that this story was about a more mature couple. Aaron has been in Celeste's and her kids' lives for over 10 years and now that her kids are heading to college he's finally decided it's time to tell her how he's always felt about her and to show her his true self. All with the hope that she returns his love and will choose to share he ...more

Winter is the beginning of the Mystic Mountain series, and I’m hooked from this first story. There is a slight connection to the Sylvan City Alphas series, very slight, but enough that I hope to see familiar-ish faces in this new series. It’s also a bit of a Seasoned Romance as Celeste has grown children now off on their way to college – Aaron, as a shifter, well I always think of shifters as older than they appear.

What you truly need to know up front is in the Cover Des

Winter is the first in Reina Torres's Mystic Mountain shifter series. The story opens with Celeste Olwin's twins surprising their mom with a thank you/farewell brunch before they head off on their own as adults. They've also invited Aaron Winter, a family friend they've come to love and see as a father figure. With the boldness of youth, they essentially give their mom and Aaron the big push to go for it and not waste any more time pining individually.

Aaron's been a very patient man, but his bea

It’s somewhat refreshing to read a romance for a middle aged couple. Most of the romances are stuck in the 35 and under crowd, and a lot of them not quite hitting 30. So it’s nice to see an author give just as much credence to Aaron and Celeste.

Aaron has watched over and patiently waited for Celeste as she raises her kids, helping out and just being available to her family after her ex-husband beat her and ran off years ago. Now her twin children have grown up and are off to college, and Aaron

What a delightful book. Aaron Winter has loved Celest Olwin for many years, yet has never been able to tell her. Now that her twins, Julia and Jason are leaving for college, the time seems right. The twins help him plan a trip with him for their mother. He has so much to tell her, and worries that she might not accept his being a bear shifter. Plus, there are other things he’s done that have affected her life. He takes her to Mystic Mountain, his home. She is surprised that everyone there knows ...more

What a way to start a new series! This book had me from the beginning. I was pulled in and could not put it down. It is one that captured my heart! I absolutely loved the characters and their story. It is a must have! Celeste and Aaron are my new favorite. I love how Aaron has been in Celeste's life for years and was willing to wait for her against all odds. That is dedication and true love. Is it enough? Does timing, age and circumstances make or break a relationship? Check this out and see. So ...more

Aaron Winter is a bear shifter and has known his mate for years but he patiently waited for her. Celeste has secretly loved Aaron for years but always put her feelings on hold because of her kids. Now her twins are grown and heading off to college and Aaron decides it's time to tell Celeste how he feels. This is a sweet, emotional read with a beautiful story and believable characters. I look forward to reading more books in the Mystic Mountain series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book. ...more

No other author I have read writes a mature leading man like Author Torres. Mature, intuitive, caring and oh so sexy. No temper tantrums in sight. Aaron Winter is the real deal and so refreshing from the younger less mature hero. Celeste is sweet and sincere in her long time affection for Aaron. He has been part of her life and her twins lives for years and wants to be even more! Two big secrets stand between Aaron and the woman he has coveted for years. No spoilers here but this story was perfe ...more

I'll be honest, I'm a little conflicted about this book. Did I like it? Yes. Did some aspects confuse me? Yes. I felt like I was lost at times and missing pieces of the story. I thought maybe this wasn't the first in the series, but it is. I felt the reasons that kept them apart for nearly 20 years were not that big (her kids) and the one big reason was kind of rushed and anticlimactic. Will this stop me from reading the next book in the series? No. I really want to read more about this town and ...more

A Wonderful Paranormal Romance .
I enjoyed reading WINTER . It is a fantastic shifter romance . Aaron Winter has waited patiently for 20years for Celeste Olein . Celeste is at the point in her life looking for a change . Her kids are going off to college and Aaron has kept her in the friends zone . Aaron is finally ready to make his move before Celeste moves on . He hopes she can except his bear and help him turn Mystic Mountain Resort into a fantastic getaway . This is a fabulous and delightful

I love a good romance, but this one is definitely one of my favorites. That Aaron and Celeste are no longer spring chicks definitely made it more relatable to me, I also have adult kids and can totally understand the misgivings a Mom might have about getting involved with a man again. That her kids, Julia and Jason, who love Aaron like a father already are the ones who helped Aaron set up the big get away to Mystic Mountain for their mother was just great. Everyone should be so lucky to have suc ...more

Aaron and Celeste’s romantic story is crafted so well by Reina Torres, that it made me read it twice!!!

The first book in her new Mystic Mountain series, is this lovely and emotional story of longing, care, loyalty, and love. Reina once again shares her writing talent by creating a world of shifter emotional ties, and the strength of caring for the long hall.

I loved that this story included a mature couple who finally finds their HEA!!

Aaron Winter has know her and know she was his mate for the longest time. He was there for her and for twins and helped and protected them with everything he was.
Now with the twins in college and away from home, was time to claim his mate, but there was so much he had to let her know and show her.
Would Celeste Olwin accept what he was and what happened so long ago, well read the book to find out, its a great story that flows well and the characters are good too.

Loved this book

This is my first book by this author. Can I saw wow. I enjoyed the story of Aaron and Celeste. It was a wonderful build up if the characters. Shifters are some of my favorite reads. This is a must read for sure. I enjoyed the description of Mystic Mountain. Made me want to visit and live there. Celeste children were hilarious and fun to see how they helped things along. Jason and Julie are to funny. I hope another book will be written in this series.

Aaron has always known that Celeste was his mate. He has been there to help her raise her children. They were just as much his cubs as hers. He just doesn't know how to tell her everything, especially that he is a bear shifter.
Celeste has been a single mom for pretty much there whole lives. Aaron has been there for her and her children. She wants more though. She wants to be with him as a couple.
Aaron is taking Celeste to Mystic Mountain. It's time.

A great shifter story about a polar bear and the woman he loves. Aaron is a very patient man who is always there for Celeste and her twins.
Now the teens are going away to college and want to see there mom happy.
Aaron and Celeste have both been hiding there feelings for each other until the twins step in. An endearing story of a mature coupe finding love.

Great start to a new series. This is a little different for most shifter reads. Intriguing reading with wilder main characters that had known each other for years. Enjoyable characters and supporting characters and definitely looking forward to reading more. I received a free copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving a review

I loved the setting of this story and Mystic Mountain is intriguing. I've read other stories from authors with this same name. But it seems as if I was missing out of parts of this book between Aaron and Celeste. Like what really happened to her husband. So it was hard to read this book when it felt like I was missing pieces of this book.

New beginings

This was a sweet book but at times I found some of the chapters incomplete. There was to much information about Cel and Aaron's past that was assumed that we the reader knew. I was hanging on for more & found an incomplete th out at times. But with that said I enjoyed the story and looking forward to the rest in the series.

This was a delightful shifter story with engaging characters and an interesting storyline. I enjoyed the fact that the couple was older, more mature; you do not see a lot of that, it was refreshing. I look forward to reading the other stories in this series and getting to know the other characters on Mystic Mountain.

Winter is a sweet and sassy tale of second chances. I liked that the characters were older and sure of who they are and what they want. A fun start to a new series.
