I'm excited to have received this book in exchange for an honest review before the release date on 1st December 2019. I have given Tell Me Why by Ruth O'Neill four out of five stars Who managed to get only four hours sleep last night as they were trying to stay up and finish this book? ...... I did. I was trying to desperately to stay awake last night, well early hours of this morning, because I really wanted to find out what was going to happen and how this book was going to draw to an end! ...more

This is an exciting read which will keep the readers attention all the way through to the final page.
The story starts with Kevin attempting to rescue Lauren, Jacob's sister. At this point we have no idea what the circumstances are that mean Lauren needs to be rescued.
Then we are taken back two years ....

Five friends Lauren, Chloe, Kate, Lucy and Holly are excitedly going on a weekend break to Butlins holiday camp. They all had plans for the future with Lauren dreaming of Mr Right coming along.

Thanks go to Ruth herself who contacted me to offer a copy of this book in return for an honest review.

I liked this book and found it very easy to read, in part due to the simple way it was written and also the (maybe) overuse of small paragraphs. (Not a criticism as, obviously, I found it an effortless read because of it.)

We meet Lauren Adams who has gone on a break to Butlins with 4 friends. They agree to stick together for safety, but when Lauren needs the loo she decides not to even tell

This is the first book that I have read from this writer. I am so glad that I took a chance on this one. This book is full of twisted, horrific events. It was a page turner from beginning to end. I did take away from this book that O'Neill's writing is very compelling and intense. Lauren Adams is on a break to Butlins with 4 of her friends. They all agree to stay together while on this getaway. But Lauren ends up slipping away without telling anyone. She ends up leaving alone and comes upon Max ...more

Lauren Adams, a thirty-two-year-old a primary school teacher; loving her work and living her normal single life. She didn’t expect much from life or had any expectations, usual calls from her mother; Nancy and from her brother Jacob was enough for her to be grateful. She was excited to spend a soul weekend with her 4 fiends; Chloe, Kate, Holly, & Lucy. A two-night stay in a six-berth caravan was all they were waiting for a girls' night out. Lauren never thought or imagined this trip will ...more

I have found a love for thriller books and this is now one I can add to the shelf of decent books from that genre.

I liked Lauren as the main character but I found that she didn’t have that much depth to her. It was told in mainly her perspective with little snippets into the mind of Max (the secondary perspective). A lot of the decisions that were made by Lauren were questionable but I can see how she would have come to these conclusions in her decision making considering the position she was

3 and a half stars.
This was a new to me author.
The book has the premise of being really good if it didn't feel so rushed and disjointed.
In saying that the plot was unpredictable enough to persevere.

Tell Me Why, is the first book I've read by this author. I was captivated by the story, never really knowing where it would go.

We follow the life of Laura Adams as she goes on a girl's weekend, and gets more than she bargained for. Stumbling on Max, he spins her life out of control!

I finished this book in a few days as I flew through the Kindle pages. A good book.
