This is the first book I have read by this author and I have to say I was really impressed with the story and the writing. I am voluntarily reviewing an ARC of this book.

Maddie Wilson is an erotic dancer and has been working alongside Dixon Cooper at his club Rock Hard for the past few months. Dix dismisses her and barely acknowledges her existence but to make her dreams come true she needs this job to save money so she can open her own business but she suddenly finds herself in danger when her best friends ex-boyfriend has found their location and Dix is the one who comes to her rescue and offers her somewhere to stay. The chemistry is electric between them but he is pushing her away at every point. Should she carry on trying to push through his boundaries or has the time come to let him go?

Dixon Cooper is an alpha male but his history with women has made him jaded in every way, Maddie Wilson threatens everything that he thought he knew and she seems too good to be true. After his ex-broke his heart he decided that he would never trust again but the closer he gets to Maddie the more he is questioning his own heart and values. Could this be the one woman that was meant to be his? Just when it seems like he could really have everything that he never knew he wanted his past reappears has he lost Maddie or can he win her back before it’s too late?

I really enjoyed this book both of the characters had me hooked to their story from the first chapter, its seriously hot with a lot of emotional baggage from all characters but you can’t help but want them to work out. This author certainly doesn’t shy away from difficult subject matter and you could never describe this as a safe book. Would I read this author again – easy answer yes. And I would recommend this book.

Although Her Boss is the second book in Kat Catesby’s All For Her series, it can be read as a standalone novel. Whilst some may enjoy this as a standalone novel, it fell into a trap I really dislike.

A lot of what happened at the start of this book played out in time with the events of the prior books in the series. Due to this, I did not much care for the main characters in this one. I was more interested in what was going on with the other characters, and it made it difficult for me to care about what was happening with the duo.

I’m sure if I’d read the prior books in the series, I would have found more enjoyment with this one. I would have known the characters and would have enjoyed getting to see a different perspective with things, but only for a while. Too much time passed with us focusing on those events of the prior book, and my interested waned too much.

Plus, the internal monologues of the male lead weren’t the kind I’m crazy about. Some will adore this – I can see many people enjoying it – but I’m not a fan of this type of storytelling. This, however, is purely personal preference. I thought this would be the type of story for me, but it wasn’t – this is on me, not the author, and I’m sure there are plenty who will enjoy this one.

All in all, this was a ‘it’s me, not you’ situation, as I’m very picky.

Hot, empowering, and more emotional than I envisioned.

This romance is about hot love, yet also packs an emotional punch. Maddie and Dix work together in his night club. They start with incredible chemistry but he is emotionally stunted due to a past burn and also because of the size of a certain body part. That sounds funny and exhilarating, but the hunk has serious problems finding a suitable partner. When this pole dancer appears interested, he puts on the brakes real fast.

The plot is based mostly on a frenzy of denied passion and a relationship filled with bumps and fear of commitment. I liked that Maddie fights for her dreams and self-worth, and I could understand his reluctance despite her patience and compatibility.

On the downside, there is some repetition on these factors. However, the story is quite catchy as they go through different stages in feelings and intimacy. The passion is off the charts, really arousing. Towards the end, a conflict puts their bond to the test while a big drama ensues around friends and their families. I loved that part as it is filled with love, friendship, very touching moments and shared grief. It is both intense and heart-warming.

I am glad that Dix finally prooved his change of heart and total devotion to this woman who is relatable and courageous. And there is a clue to the next book that also sounds quite appealing 😄

I've been anxiously waiting for Dix and Maddie's story to be told. Let me tell you.. I wasn't disappointed. Unknowingly, their insecurities and struggles are alike in more ways than one. Seeing them both work through those insecurities was great! Maddie is a genuine soul that is stronger than she looks, and isn't afraid of the ultimate alpha male persona that Dix gives off.
Readers won't be disappointed with their story!
I loved seeing the other couples from the previous books stories continue to play out throughout this book as well.

Completely loved this story. Both Dix and Maddie struggle with insecurities, making their relationship, as it is, difficult for them to pursue. Kat Catesby does an awesome job drawing you in to their world. Loved being able to characters from prior stories as well. Can't wait to see what comes next!

This slow burn sets things on fire.

You'd think the owner of a night club with a members only sex club upstairs would be with whoever he wants, but Dixon can't seem to bring himself to ask out the girl he likes. Maddie is the coolest. She does aerial and erotic dance on poles and hoops and dreams of opening her own studio. She wants Dixon, too. They KILL US with their tension but in a way that hurts so good. While their friends are moving forward in life they are struggling to figure out how to navigate each other.

The real obstacle... Dixon "Dix" Cooper's nickname isn't just short for his name... it is a big clue to one BIG obstacle that he isn't sure Maddie can handle.

*We met Maddie in Her Cowboy and Dixon in Her Firefighter but you don't need to have read either one to jump in on this book.

Recommend: Yes, yes, OHHHH YES!
"Heady" Count: None!! Yay!
Favorite Phrase: "I've been burned one too many times and Maddie Wilson looks like an inferno that would raze me to the ground."

Maddie and Dix work together at the Rock Hard Club. She's a sometimes bartender but her heart belongs to performing and of course Dix.

Dix, on the other hand, wants nothing to do with Maddie. Or does he?

He has a sexy dominant streak but is still suffering the wounds inflicted by his last girlfriend and now only seeks relief from one of two chosen partners. None of them being Maddie!

Circumstances throw them together more and more often and their attraction and sexual chemistry cannot be denied. However in true romance style, the journey to HEA is never smooth and Maddie and Dix are no exception!

Be rest assured their HEA is within easy reach if only they both hold on tight.

Kat Catesby has given us a host of characters that are somewhat broken but can be put back together and healed by just the right person.

I can't wait to experience her next 'fixer upper'!

Omg if i could give this more than 5 stars i would. I absolutely loved it. I read the first one so i couldnt wait to read this one. And omg it didnt disappoint, i swear its even steamyer than the first, and not because of the sex (it is pretty damn hot though hehe) but because of the tension and the frustration between them. I just couldn't put it down untill i was done. I hope there are more books in this series, maybe with the cousins in cali? I could say so so much more about this book but i dont want to give anything away, but if you get this book be prepared to not do anything untill you have finished it hehe!

I recieved an advanced copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

This book and these characters really resonated with me. Dix and Maddie are both so insecure and kind of broken but once they let down their walls, together they can do anything. This book is full of feelings and some dang sexy times! The whole series has been good, but I think Kat Catesby just keeps getting better with each one. I can't wait to see what's next!

I was given an ARC copy to give an honest review of.

I very much enjoyed this story. I thi k every woman can use a "little" Dix in their life.
It was great to see the circle close on the others we have read about in the series.

There were a couple places that hit really close to home and I found myself actually crying.

Definitely recommend this one and the whole series

So hot and steamy! I loved how strong and confident Maddie was. She knew what she wanted and wouldn't settle for less. Dix has closed off his heart because he had been hurt and didn't want to hurt someone else. Will Maddie wait for him to come around, or will she walk away, thinking that Dix will never open his heart to her? I am loving this series and look forward to hopefully reading more.

I enjoyed Her Boss. Once I started I didn’t want to put it down. It’s definitely an adult story with lots of steaminess. I liked how relatable Dix and Maddie were and how they dealt with real issues.
I would recommend having some tissues on hand for some parts. I look forward to the next book from this author.

At times making me want to scream at Dix for being so stubborn, at others wanting to yell at Maddie for not stepping up and demanding more. A fantastic read with incredible eroticism, some laughs and tension. The end result is a wonderful journey not just for Dix and Maddie but also the reader.

Kat Catesby has written a story that starts out as a slow burn that turns into a raging inferno. Maddie and Dix smolder as they try to not cross the employer/employee line. But that just adds fuel to the fire. Throw in some mutual friends and they become engulfed.

This entire series is HOT!!

I loved this book! Kat Catesby is an author that every book I have read I have enjoyed & this one was perfect for the slump I was in to get me out.

I’ve been meaning to read this one for MONTHS and honestly I’m mad at myself for putting it off so long for how much I enjoyed it.

Maddie was SOOOO relatable to me. The feelings of never being enough tugged on my heartstrings & I wanted to wrap her up in a hug and tell her not to listen to herself. I also loved the highlight on body positivity that was made, & the fact that no matter what, everyone can have things they don’t love about themselves, no matter how they appear on the outside.

This book covers communication really well & I love this series for its accurate & positive representation of the kink lifestyle.

This whole series is great, but this one might have been my fave! An author I will always recommend.

WOW!!! So I been waiting for this story very patiently because I knew that Dix and Maddie were going to be HOT together and let me tell you Kat Catesby didn't disappoint. We first met Maddie and Dix on Her Cowboy and how Maddie started working for Dix in his exclusive Sex Club as a arial dancer. in the beginning of the story we see a lot of the events that happen in the previous book on this series and I really like this because we see the events from Maddie and Dix's POV. Their chemistry its instant from the moment they met, but Dix has so many insecurities and traumas from his last long term relationship that he doesn't want to accept the pull he has towards Maddie, so he makes it very clear that the only relationship he wants to have its a Boss-Employee relationship. Maddie in the other hand its starting new, in a new city, with a new job and a new dream that it seems so far away from her. She also has lots of insecurities on her own but regardless she tries her best to have some kind of relationship with Dix. Both of them have their kinks and needs but would this be enough to overcome all their insecurities? This book its a must read and I can't wait for whats to come next from this amazing author.

Her Boss

I was honoured to read this as part of Kat Catesby's ARC team and this is my honest review.

Maddie Wilson (Kitten) best friend to Katie, Maddie is an exotic dancer who wants to open her own studio to teach yoga, pilates, pole dancing and aerial hoop work. Maddie has her plenty of trust and abandonment insecurities.

Maddie is placed in danger so Dix volunteers to be her bodyguard. Dix is battling his feelings because he doesn't WANT to have feelings for his employee.

Dixon (Dix) Cooper runs the Rock Hard Club - night club downstairs and an exclusive sex club upstairs.

Dix has 'ice blue eyes, short dark brown hair, broad shoulders and a strong chest, a firm bite-worthy butt, long powerful legs, forearms which has black ink snaking it's way all over it, and a VERY impressive package so much so he has to pick his bed partners very carefully as he doesn't want to physically hurt anyone.
Dix has serious commitment issues partly due to his gold digger ex Sasha and his experience from when women learn about his VERY impressive package who react and say really horrible comments.

Like most stories it's not plain sailing for Dix and Maddie but Kat has done such an amazing job of making you feel you are part of the story and you feel all manner of emotions when reading this. Kat has done a great job with weaving her other stories in to this one and mixing previous characters into the storyline even though this is a stand alone book and you don't have to read the others before Her Boss.

HOWEVER if you haven't read them you need to make sure My Firefighter and My Cowboy are on your TBR List as they are excellent!!

'When Maddie sees Dix wearing a dusty black shirt, paint splattered worn jeans, work boots and an actual to goodness tool belt slung low on his hips'... lets just say .... 'drool does not come out of clothes easily' ;o)

Maddie is an erotic dancer in Dix’s adult entertainment club, her dream is to own her own dance studio where she teaches pole dancing and yoga. But when she is interviewed for her current job, she felt an attraction to her boss Dix.
Dix has been hurt deeply by his previous relationship and he also has trouble satisfying women because of the size of his junk. He is oversized and has decided that it is just easier to be on his own, that way his heart doesn’t get trashed by failed relationships.

Dix is equally attracted to Maddie, but because she is so small, he is afraid of hurting her. Then one day Maddie confronts him and forces his hand. They both discover that they have the same kinks. Surprise, surprise, they are perfectly matched. They start a casual monogamous relationship but they are never to kiss. This relationship lasts for close to a year, it Dix is still closed off emotionally, afraid to open his heart. Little does he realise that is exactly what he is doing.

His ex arrives back in town and Maddie overhears him telling her maybe in regards to having a relationship again. Maddie is deeply hurt that he would never say anything like that to her and she has been so patient with him, but it seems pointless. She packs her things up and moves out to the ranch with her best friend and her husband.

Things start happening in their lives and they are forced into each other’s lives again and they have to deal with their problems together and with the love and support of their families who are deeply enmeshed. They are able to sort themselves out and finally work together to find their happily ever after.

I was given an advanced copy of this book to read and review with my honest and fair opinion.

Her Boss is the second book in Kat Catesby's All for Her series but can also be read as a standalone novel. I read and loved Her Cowboy (the first book in the series) when it was released which made waiting for Her Boss so much more difficult! I loved Maddie, Dix and their insane chemistry in Her Cowboy. However, their characters and sexual tension grabbed me even tighter right from the first page of Her Boss and they didn't let go until the very end.
Maddie was hired as an aerial dancer in Dix's exclusive Sex Club. They hit it off immediately but due to insecurities and past heartbreaks (not to mention the size of a particular part of Dix) they continually struggle to communicate. Her Boss picks up during a tense time in the plot of Her Cowboy. But this time we see the events unfold from the viewpoints of Dix and Maddie which kept it engaging for the reader and also helped to bring Maddie and Dix closer together in the story. The emotional roller coaster of tension, passion, insecurities and so much more is exhilarating. Just when I thought I knew what would happen next, the story took a dramatic turn and the characters grew in much greater ways than I could have ever imagined.
Her Boss is a must read if you love forbidden workplace romances filled with a slow building burn turned into a strong, hot passion. Also if you love experiencing relatable characters working to overcome their flaws and insecurities with the help of a tight-knit and supportive group of friends, this book is definitely for you!

Wow. I was so looking forward to this book and was delighted to receive an advance copy. This is the second book in the Hers series and its seriously HOT. Following her move, Maddie has had to put her dreams on hold and is now working at an exclusive club run by the very sexy Dixon. Circumstances bring the two together but will their past prevent them from ever finding their HEA.

Kat Catesby has done it again and like Her Cowboy she's not afraid to tackle difficult subjects. Part of the book overlaps with Her Cowboy but it is from Maddie and Dixon's perspective so you do not need to have read that book first. However if you've not read Her Cowboy that is another hot must read.

I read this as part of an ARC and I’m giving this review freely.
If you haven’t read any of the series before this much I do recommend you do so (Her fire fighter and Her Cowboy), however it can be read as a stand alone.
This book focuses on Maddie and Dix showing how the most strong minded, willed and empowered people can also have their insecurities. Dix is without a doubt an alpha male but Maddie matched him step for step and pushes back too. These two are clearly made for each other but won’t admit their feelings, constantly erecting boundaries to keep the other at a distance. But they both stand for each other in times of need, to offer support even if silently.
This book made me laugh and cry as it covers an event that was personal for me. Kate did this by not going into excessive detail but still putting across the severity and emotions connected to situation so very well that my eyes filled with tears bringing back memories for me. But this also allowed her characters to show true strength and make that final decision to bring down the walls they had around their hearts to finally connect and be together.
Loving the series of books and very much looking forward to the next one. There’s great character progression for all characters in the series meaning you just want to read more and more!

I won an ARC; advanced ready copy, of this book and y’all if I hadn’t have won it for free I definitely would’ve paid for it! It’s worth every penny! Read on for my honest review!

As someone who does pole fitness I was excited to read a book about a main character who herself does pole. I loved that the art was given the respect it deserved and that Maddie is such a strong and relatable character because of that! I loved that pole wasn’t glossed over but was an essential part of the book! It was so great to read and see!

Maddie and Dix are a slow build. It’s sometimes hard to read because there’s moments where you want to scream at them; mostly Dix, to get their shit together! Maddie is strong and doesn’t take his shit and is refreshingly honest and open. Dix is closed off, emotionally unavailable, and takes baby steps even slower than actual babies!

They are very relatable characters. We all struggle with insecurities, friends who have left us, and bad relationships. I loved how real, and raw this book was.

The characters in this book make you want to know more and read more. Kat Catesby has built a world and characters that you ache to get to know and read about! I can’t wait to read more!

Wow I was omg it’s finally here and it didn’t disappoint
The 3rd in the series from Kat and if you thought the previous 2 were hot, well this one goes beyond.
The thing is Kat makes you wait and wait and wait, as our male character Dixon Cooper has serious issues about his “c#%k”, which I for one had no issue with lol.
I love how we see Ash & Katie’s story from Dixon’s POV and how it wove itself into their story.
The sexual tension in this story is real and you can’t wait for it to be resolved.
I love how we don’t get what we want straight away but I think it adds to the plot of the story.
Kat kept us in touch with all the previous characters from Her Firefighter and Her Cowboy, and their interaction with Dixon and Maddie during the tough time for them in the book was integral to how situations were dealt with. I loved Dixon and his ahem cough cough 12 inch problem lol
Thank you Kat and Katherine Lopez for my intro to Kat and “ Her Alpha’s”
