Yes! This sequel had it all. Angst, heartbreak, sex and love. The characters got the room they needed and shined. Cassie and Frank. Phew. What a story. It was intense and so damn emotional. Frank lost so much in One Last Verse and the effect it had on him and on his and Cassie’s relationship was devastating. Cassie was Frank’s support, his rock but she also lost a lot because of his abuse and reckless behavior. It was uncomfortable and difficult to read at times but only because the author captu ...more

Fantastic book and phenomenal writing! I loved this even more that Final Serenade, and that's saying something. Both Final Serenade and One Last Verse are definitely on my favorite books of the year list. I can't wait for everyone else to read this!

This book totally owned me. It tore me open and stitched me up again. I am so in love with this series. I don't even know where to start with this review.

I absolutely love this author's writing style. It completely sucks you into the story and envelops you. The narration is smooth, effortless, and inviting. I loved the plot of the story. So much drama and so much emotion. Br

I loved this duet so much, and it ended as perfectly as it began. The writing is top notch, every sentence crafted to elicit emotion. My heart shattered for both Frankie and Cassy. Every time I thought a character had perhaps gone too far, they surprised me, because the real villain in this story is circumstance. And Dante...fucking hell. His character arc is inspired. Though I loved reading him, I couldn't actually stand him in Final Serenade. By the end of One Last Verse, he'd become my favori ...more

*Once again, I realized I hadn't moved my review here from another site when I originally read this amazing conclusion- The Encore book 2. So, here we go now!

Why do I love tortured, broken leading men in my romance books so much? They intrigue me, wrap me in their sorrow and drama, making me hope someone, someday will find them worthy of loving forever! This duet's One Last Verse is Frankie Blade- struggling, fighting to push himself to the limit as he tries to mold himself back into the same fa

“The moment I saw Frankie, I knew he was the one. The way he looked at me made me want to hug him and never let go. Please love me, his eyes had said. We didn’t look back after we brought him home with us. He was such a good, loving boy, and he made us extremely happy.”

The moment I read the author’s name, I was sure this would be a mind boggling read and of course I was right all along. When I read “Final Serenade”, I was mesmerized by the couple that is, Frankie and Cassy and now when I finishe

I thought I knew it all about the conclusion of Cassy and Frank’s story but there’s so much more into it.

So many feelings, so many heartbreaking moments and scenes, so much to overcome and deal with. But as always, love is stronger than anything and although it takes a long time, it will heal and bring light into everyone’s life.

Do I agree with every choice the characters have had? No, but again, in real life nobody is perfect and I’m happy to read about flawed people and their mista

What a Great Duet!!!

Frankie and Cassy’s story was full of emotion, heartache, heartbreak and plenty of steam. I absolutely loved their connection and I’m now a big fan of N.N. Britt. Of course I loved my rock and rollers but this book was full of so much more that it was a page turner I couldn’t put down.

Be ready for one crazy ride with Frankie and Cassy and this is one author I can’t wait to read again. Make sure you grab Final Serenade in the Encore Duet series.

Breathtakingly and Painfully Beautiful !!

This story captivated me so much from the first book that I found myself savoring every word of book 2...I absolutely loved it! It was the ultimate ending to a great duet!

I said it before and I’ll say it again, N.N. Britt definitely knows the inner workings as well as the external nuances of the rock’n roll world. She intricately weaves that knowledge and experience into a beautifully painful love story.

I am utterly captivated by Frank and Cassy’s story!

One Last Verse is the 2nd book in the Encore Duet and another fabulous page turner from NN Britt. This was a beautifully written yet painful love story that will have you engrossed in the pages and unable to put it down. The plot and characters development continued seemlessly from the first book and it will all evoke a range of emotions from you as you continue along this journey with these unique characters. Expect to be taken on a rollercoaster ride with all the twists and turns, drama, angst ...more

My heart is on the verge of being split apart because I don't know how she does it, but she's manged to suck my soul straight into this novel, and what a novel it was.
The concluding book in this duet, One Last Verse, doesn't fail in pushing you into the deep end, into an abyss of wild emotions.
You experience this book, as though it were a journey, no doubt.

I had to stew on this one for a bit. NN Britt has this way of writing that turns me on, breaks my heart, and leaves me deep in thought. One Last Verse gets 6 stars from me, leaving the Duet at 5.5ish. If you like raw, gritty, *real* rockstar romance, you need to check this out.

The second half of Cassy and Frankie’s story had me reeling, full of emotion and clutching my chest, because it was so much more than a love story. NN Britt’s intimate knowledge of the music industry was evident in this d

This is the second book in the Encore series and starts off right where Final Serenade leaves off. If you haven't read Final Serenade yet, One Last Verse is NOT a stand-alone book and just an FYI, Final Serenade leaves off on a HUGE cliffhanger.

One Last Verse is a book really about addiction. Frank is an alcoholic and a substance abuser. He is really lost, depressed, and is in need of treatment and recovery. The relationship between Frank and Cassy is complicated by Franks's addiction an

I’ve been WAITING for this book since reading part 1 of the duet, Final Serenade, last month, which ended on a massive cliffhanger. This is not a standalone, it’s a continuation (second book) in a duet. The first book was excellent and so I was pretty excited to read this book. I should say music, the music industry, rockstar lifestyles, are not typically my thing, but this author has a way of writing about pain and human emotion that goes beyond whether you like her tropes and more in the commo ...more

I loved the first part of this duet and thought the second part could not surpass the first. Boy was I wrong! There is so much going on in this story it is impossible to put down, it just grabs you by the throat and doesn't let you go until then end, and not even then, major book hangover!

This is the second part of Frankie and Cassy's story and you will feel every emotion from the hot and sexy love scenes between these two characters which contrast with the painful and heart-breaking scenes as

The conclusion to The Encore Duet was so emotional and raw that my heart hurt as I continued to read Frank and Cassy’s story, because loving a rockstar isn’t easy.

The characters are so believable that it was impossible not to connect with them and become invested. I was just as conflicted as Cassy when it came to Frank, who personified brooding, dysfunctional rock star. It was difficult to decide if I wanted Cassy to stay or leave, much like I’m sure she was feeling. The roller coaster that was

I read Finale Serenade like last month and I was so impressed with NN Britt so I jumped at the chance to read One Last Verse . I had to know what happened next.

One Last Verse takes place right where Finale Serenade left off. And boy did this story take a dark turn. One Last Verse is a story about addiction, depression, redemption, overcome adversity and hope.

One Last Verse is the conclusion to Frankie and Cassy’s story and one that will take your heart on an emotional ride. As drama, broken promises and secrets tear their worlds apart, I was left gripping onto the edge of my seat with both hands. Well this author has done it again, I absolutely love everything I've ever read that has been written by her.

This story continues with the relationship of entertainment reporter Cassy, and rock star Frankie; they both have their demons, hers stemming from her childhood, and trust issues, and his with abandonment and health problems resulting from a motorcycle crash, in which he lost seven years of activity which is ongoing - and causing quite the upset with his band, Hall Affinity.

One Last Verse is the conclusion to Frank & Cassy's story, which means YOU HAVE TO READ THE BEGINNING (Final Serenade) FIRST! Man, Ms. Britt totally destroyed me with all the emotions which were dragged out of me whether I wanted it or not, and I'm still so emotional. I won't go into details because of this being the conclusion, but everything is so much bigger this go around. Obviously, the emotional portion is way bigger, but the realistic feel is bigger, the rawness is bigger, and the heart i ...more

This is the 2nd and concluding story in this phenomenal duet. Cassy and Frankie are by no means perfect characters, they are flawed, and when life knocks them down, they learn to dust themselves off to survive, which is by no means an easy feat. Cassy is juggling work and her secret relationship with Frank is taking a toll. Frank is having trouble recovering from his accident from seven years ago. He would do anything to keep his band together. He is pushing Cassy away. Cassy knows she should break it off but will her heart let her? A story full of heartbreak, triumphs and flawed people.

One Last Verse is the conclusion of Frankie and Cassy’s story. This book had many highs and lows and N. N. Britt made you feel all the emotions from her brilliant storytelling. One Last Verse is one of my favorite books and I highly recommend it,but be sure to read Final Serenade first.

The emotions are real. This book has me so on edge. I’m sucked in, but also afraid to keep reading. I’m on pins and needles about what may happen. Frankie is so messed up and Cassie is doing her best to stand beside him. This book had me so into my emotions!! I just didn’t want it to end.. Loved every second of it.

Natalia rocked my world with this duet. As a reader I couldn’t have wished for a better conclusion to Cassy and Frankie’s story. It was raw, emotional and beautiful. Absolute perfection!
Reading page after page I felt as if the author was telling me a story she herself had experienced.
Her writing style is amazing. I love it.
