This is part of the Lorelei James Galaxy of her many series. When James puts her mind to it, all the books flow.

This is the second entry to the Want You series. This has Nolan, the future CEO of Lund Industries and past Olympic Hockey player Gabriella "Gabi" Welk.
These two have been crossing paths due to the past connections from friends and family. There is no love lost between them due to a combination of things. Nolan,

Man alive but I love the Lund collective.

This one was extra fun because it's a sports romance, but the heroine is the sporty one. The roles are flipped in a way that seems like it might not work for me - but it totally did. That is, Gabi is the sort of tomboy hockey heroine and Nolan is the metrosexual reformed manwhore and that's not even the entirety of the way the script is flipped between these two. It was refreshing and fun and honestly heartwarming.

This is a frenemies to lovers story. Th

This was my first Lorelei James book and what a wonderful surprise it was. This was such a good twist on the stereotypical gender roles.

I loved that our main heroine, Gabi aka Gabriella, is a sportsperson. She plays hockey, has six pack abs, runs away from tough conversations, and is a very simple person.

Our hero is a metrosexual billionaire, who is getting prepped to be a CEO. He loves fashion and really cares about his experience. This has caused some i

I really enjoyed the way Gabi and Nolan fed off of one another with their bickering and bantering, but I absolutely loved their text messages! The chemistry was great and both were really likable characters. I liked this book so much I gobbled up the 384 pages in just 1 day, who needs sleep anyway! Since I hadn't read the first book in this series, I WANT YOU BACK, or any of the NEED YOU SERIES I didn't know any of the secondary characters and I think if I knew them and their backgrounds this wo ...more

I finished this like a week ago so my memory is not what it should be, but I remember really liking this and Nolan and Gabi together. I also remember thinking that the sudden (view spoiler) twist was unnecessary and that Nolan should have done more to let his family twist in the wind considering they had no problems doing the same to him. The family stuff in this series is such a contradiction and I'm not sure if I think it's good or not. On the one hand they're all sup ...more

Gabriella/Gabi and Nolan just...didn't work for me.

I wanted to like this one, and I loved the idea of a sports romance where the sports star was the heroine...but unfortunately I thought there was a lot going on with this one, with his family and her sister and her career, and it took away from the story enough that I ended up skimming it to see how it ended after officially giving up on this one at 24%

I am unable to recommend this title.

The Delight
Opposites attract and it blew my mind. What you think of a character from other books actually looks different when you see their side of things. I loved seeing the hero take control of his life and a heroine shove misogynist assholes in their place

Nolan Lund. was the one character I wonder what a love story would look like. He comes across as a prissy boy at times, man whore at others and oddly someone you want to know why people find him the heir apparent without the power

I wasn’t sure about this pairing; I knew it was going to happen as these two tangled back in the first book, I Want You Back, but leave it to author Lorelei James to change my mind and give me a slow burn, enemies to lovers, opposites attract story that was steamy, sweet, and emotional.

Gabi (Gabriella Welk) is a former Olympic hockey player who works at Jax’s rink (see previous book, I Want You Back). She has a frenemy relationship with Jax’s brother, Nolan, but they really don’t know one another. When Nolan goes to pick up some paperwork from Jax’s office, he overhears Gabi getting dumped by her boyfriend and offers to be her designated driver for the night. Unfortunately, he sticks his foot in his mouth, and Gabi ends up sneaking out of the bar. Luckily a heart-felt apology ...more

Nolan is the last person Gabi expected to become friends with. He's a fashionable billionaire playboy and she's just Gabi, hockey player extraordinaire who could care less about fashion, but deeply cares about the kids she coaches, and where her career is heading now that she's retired professionally. As the two frenemies become more friend than enemy an attraction burns between them. But can these two opposites possibly make a relation

This is my first book by Lorelei James and I really enjoyed it.Well I guess it's maybe this blurb that appealed to me. Normally I wouldn't be a fan of the rich guy/corporate hero but Nolan was pretty ok. He was down to earth despite being a CEO and fancy pants, he has this wicked fashion sense that while it would be weird for a guy he just dresses well and had a sense of humor. Even with his fancy car and lifestyle he's quite cool. Gabi yey for a female hockey player lead. So rare. She's tough b ...more

Well, I love me a good hockey romance and so of course I couldn't pass up the chance to read want You to Want Me by Lorelei James.

This is book 2 in the Want You series and I admit that I had not read the first book but I had no issues following along in this story but now I do want to read the first book because I love this book. It is a slow burn story that makes you swoon. I love the characters so much.

I give this 5 out of 5.

Gabi just got dumped by her boyfriend. This sounds bad. What's worse.... Nolan heard it all happen.

He decides to take Gabi out for drinks and it all unfurls from there. They're enemies, it's fine. Until it isnt fine.

I LOVE a sports romance. I'm a sucker for them. In this frenemies to lovers book the main female character Gabi is a former Olympic hockey player and I am here for it.

She is trying to determine what is next for her. Her loyalties to her family and job create tension. Add in a sexy bi

Gabi was at a crossroads in her career. When an opportunity for her dream job fell into her lap, she knew she was qualified, but she needed to polish her look. She cringed at the thought of asking Nolan Lund, her boss’s brother, for help, but he was a total fashion plate with style for days. They agreed to trade a favor for a favor and these two pseudo-enemies were off and running.

It was a nice switch to have a female in the athlete role in this sports romance. Gabi was an incredibly t

I love well written romances like this book from James that allows you to lose yourself it the story and let the character do the talking. The second book in this Minneapolis St Paul story tells the story of Nolan Lund, a man at crossroads what to do professionally and personally . Nolan isn’t a bad guy, he is a known lady man but he is trying to redeem himself but doesn’t know how to do so .

This story is perfect as it needs to be slow to show the redemption of Nolan as he comes to terms where h

I absolutely loved Gabi and Nolan’s story. My cheeks are hurting from how much grinning I was doing while watching these two go from frenemies to each other’s everything and I was quite disappointed when I got to then because I didn’t want to say good-bye.

Want You to Want Me by Lorelei James was just mindblowing. I loved loved loved every single thing about this story. The characters. The chemistry. The feelings. The storyline. The writing. Perfection from every side.

I thought this book was definitely better than the first book in the series. I wasn't quite sure how it would go since Nolan wasn't exactly nice to Gabriella before. But I'm glad I gave them a chance because they made the cutest couple and went from enemies to lovers easily enough.

Nolan wasn't the cocky guy he portrayed once we got to know him. We saw his insecurities brought on by his family and for once, I really disliked the whole Lund family. They were not the loyal and tight-knit family th

I love this author. Prior to reading the first book in the Want You series, I had only known this author with her Western romance. She is a phenomenal author that can write anything, but I am really liking her more contemporary take on romance.

This book was much different in certain aspects of Luce and Jax's story, in the fact that other than some preconceived notions on Nolan's part there was no real history with Gabi. I enjoyed watching Nolan discover himself and how he listened to w

I really enjoyed this friends to lovers romance that features a female hockey player as the heroine. I've read some of the other Lund family stories and enjoyed them all, so it was great to get back into the series again with this one.

Nolan is an interesting character as he's very fashion conscious (and has the money to dress well, with his own stylist) and I enjoyed the descriptions of his clothing and when he helps Gabi dress for success in her interview with a local TV station. She is ready

Gabi’s entire life has been focused on her hockey career but now that it has come to an end she finds herself floundering as she tries to work multiple jobs to survive. The fact that her boyfriend ended their relationship is bad enough but finding out that he loved her sister just made it that much worse as once again she puts the needs of her family ahead of herself.

Now that his brother has dropped out of the running Nolan is the heir apparent to take over the family business however even his

Want You to Want Me is a slow burn, opposites attract, friends to lovers sports romance. The hero and heroine are complex and likeable. I particularly found Gabi to be quite relatable, she’s a strong, driven women and former Olympic hockey player. She can come off as a little aloof at times, whereas Nolan is her opposite, he’s quite personal and social. Nolan is hardworking, but struggles for his work ethic to be recognized, and to be taken seriously. He’s a bit of a ladies man, and a metrosexua ...more

This one started out a bit rocky for me, Nolan was cold and an ass and I didn't like how he treated Gabi. I sure didn't want them as a couple. But slowly Nolan won me over, much like he did Gabi. I liked their interactions as they got to know each other better, how each of them let the real person they were through. Like commentary on gender expectations........ interesting.
A psychic cousin who’s intuitions are taken seriously.... very interesting.
Big family drama........my fucking kryptonite.

But like not enough time spend on the psychic drama and I don’t remember much of the first book so the big family dynamic got confusing a lot because I didn’t remember who the people were and how they were related.

I love sports romance books, even better when the heroine is the sporty spice. Gabi the star hockey player, and Nolan the Billionaire CEO.

Gabi is just coming off a breakup from her boyfriend, that unfortunately Nolan hears how it all goes down. Throw in a friends to lovers, and I’m addicted. She’s not normally his type, but there was just something about Gabi he couldn’t get enough of. This is a slow burn romance, that will keep you reading to get to the steamy parts…wink, wink.
