This was an ADvanced reader copy but the review below is completely my own honest opinion

Ok family this was a great read.
Serafina (fee) is our MC she loves doughnuts, margaritas and doing the right thing no matter what. This is a urban fantasy RH with reapers, multi supes , and super powers, ghosts and a cute AF snake! This story so far has twists and turns to leave you WANTING the next story like now!

There is mystery and stuff we havent found out yet as the reader. The world building is

And for the first time ever, I did not fall in love at first sight with a Debbie Cassidy book. Not that anything is wrong with it, it's just not... amazing?

New series, new world. Out of every Debbie Cassidy's universes, this one is probably my favorite.

Most people are as human as they come but because of a failed experiment, people now can see ghosts hanging around until someone let them cross over. It probably wouldn't be that impressive if they weren't all stuck on the mortal

Reaper Unexpected is the first book of a promising new series by Debbie Cassidy. The FMC, Seraphina (or Fee as she prefers), can't help but try to help when she thinks someone needs her. She lives with a ghost and her pet snake and works to help the dead get crossed over via reaper.

Just when she's up for a promotion/transfer to a new division, she goes out to a club for a girl's night with her ghostly BFF. She ends up trying to save someone which inadvertently causes her to be the next Dominus

Reading a Debbie Cassidy book is like wrapping myself in a snuggly blanket. I always know that I'm going to get quality and can sit down to an enjoyable read.

Fee's life is turned upside down when she goes from an admin job, processing the deal souls in Necro City to unexpectedly becoming one of a small team of reapers. She has to deal with some big revelations about herself, adjust her expectations of what her life will be and get used to her fellow reapers... And they're not all making her

What an amazing new series from the brilliant Debbie Cassidy!!!

Our heroine is no nonsense, headstrong, kick butt woman named Seraphina-though she prefers Fee. She had a hero complex and unfortunately thats what gets her in trouble, whilst trying to help she finds herself with a knife in her gut and a new destiny as a reaper.

Each character has an individual personality and plenty of mystery to them. There are so many secrets lurking under the surface and I can not wait to see where this series

Oh this book tickled and entranced me! The dead are no longer hidden, now they are fully visible to humans - and they are BIG business! Entire corporations have cropped up in order to deal with the influx, even though what happens after processing is still a mystery to most.

The world building is decidedly delicious, invoking a Dystopian feel while firmly clinging to the Urban Fantasy vibe. There is a ghost roommate, a snake with talents I won't spoil, and a trio of confusing - and VERY different

So...interesting story so far. I'm digging the reapers and ghosts- and Fee as a character.
But the potential love interests? Not really...

From the start of this book to the end I was fairly well engrossed. I almost finished it the same day. The main character Fee is a pretty strong character. She knows a bit about the supernatural and all but not really about herself. So obviously there is some self discovery in this book but that really just leads to more questions about her history. I absolutely loved the dynamic between her and the guys. The obvious easy chemistry with her and Conah, the hate but she finds him oh so sexy Mal, ...more

With an intriguing take on the dead set in a fantabulous world built by this author and filled with demons, angels, vampires, shifters, ghosts and reapers this takes you on an amazing adventure! A great slow burn Rh romance with some awesome characters and I am very excited to see where the author takes this next! ...more

I was so sad to read the last line. I need more!! I cannot wait to read what happens between Fee and Azazel as well as Mal. I'd also like to know more of Grayson's story.

Once again Debbie's book dis not disappoint and had me from the first page. I highly recommend this book!!
Mar 05, 2020 rated it it was amazing,no,no! I need more.

The last chapter of this book reminds me of going to sip your coffee and realizing it's all gone!

I feel addicted to this story, and need to know what happens next.

Between the abilities that keep surfacing, all the bombs dropped in the last quarter of the book, and the sexy alpha dangled in front of us, I feel jittery and crVing so much more.

Also Conah, you've got some explaining to do! So many half-truths and secrets in the group. Can't wait fo see how Fee kicks the

Can I give this more than 5 stars ?! No... well debbie Cassidy has done it again, and I am thrilled this story is about a human who works for the soul savers for two more weeks to her new job to dead side but one night on the town changes her whole world I wont give spoilers, this book is too amazing to read unaware of the ending!! But I was sucked in from the start, and couldnt stop reading. The ending made me want to scream half because I wanted more and the other half was a why are you ending ...more

OMG Debbie Cassidy has done it again! This women is a fantastic writer and she really knows how to grab the reader by the throat, suck you into the story and fully captive you!

This book was fully captivating from page one and at the end I was yelling for more immediately! Fee is such an exciting FMC, she is broken and tough but at the same time vulnerable and sensitive. I loved the scenes when she would just loose it while trying to protect the weak, she is kick ass and her confidence shines

Reaper Unexpected has just became my new fave Debbie series!! Of course that is until she comes out with her next book I am sure. I have no idea how she does it. Just when I think that her stories cannot get any better, they do!! She has such a gift of storytelling, she has become one of my all time favorite authors,

In Reaper Unexpected we have our lead Seraphina, or Fee as she likes to be called. She works as a soul relocation agent, who is up for a promotion. But one night changes all that for

Whoa, this was one hell of a ride.
Fee's life is certainly different to anyone of us - being adopted with no clue who her real parent were, living in a big inherited house with a ghost and a pet snake, working at soul allocation agency, and suffering from anger issues and hero complex. Not your typical female.. but there is certainly something more to her, and it's proved once the scythe of a dying Dominus Reaper chooses her as the next wielder. Call it a shortcut to having her life turned

Seraphina "Fee" Dawn is my kinda girl, she doesn't take s**t, is willing to help and she loves a good doughnut. The story draws you in from the get-go, especially with that first chapter which leaves a lot of questions as to what or how Fee ended up in that position. As always with Debbie Cassidy's books, I love the time and thought put into building up her world's and the character development and definitely wasn't disappointed with this story.

Absolutely Loved this new world and the start to this new adventure with Debbie Cassidy. Each time she starts a new series you are looking forward to it but thinking it cant better the last one and once again she has proved us wrong. This book is AMAZEBALLS!!!!!!!

This was a great start to a new series!

Fee's life does a complete 360 when she finds out she isn't and has never been human. Add into the mix reapers, monsters and four potential love interests and things are bound to get crazy! Her potential love interests are Mal, Conah, Az, and Grayson, the leader of a werewolf pack. I'm definitely intrigued by Grayson the most and can't wait to see how and if he even does fit into everything. AZ is the quite and broody one of the bunch. Mal is the flirty,

Reaper Unexpected is the first book in Cassidys new Deadside Reapers series set in an intriguing new world filled with demons, angels, vampires, shifters, and ghosts. And there may or may not even be a pet python, who can talk! Along with most of Cassidys other series, this one is also in the RH genre (it is a slow burn RH) and has elements of friends to lovers, enemies to lovers, and that forbidden romance entanglement with enticing characters who command the pages. And, boy, do they ever!

This is the first book in this authors new series. It started off with a bang and continued throughout the story. Seraphina or Fee has a serious hero complex that gets her into trouble. This time it lands her in a situation where a Dominus reaper gets killed and now she is chosen to take his place. Theres lots of twists and conflict with the other Dominus reapers. Lots of hot men, even though some of them are not so nice. Im sure theres a reason for it all that well find out in future books. I ...more

As per the usual Debbie shoots and she scores! Man, this is a hell of a book! Serafina (Fee) is awesomely kickass! Debbie knows how to write these in depth amazing characters and it never fails to impress.
The guys were thirst trap worthy and may have made me drool. What can I say theyre the perfect opposites to our girl.
The story instantly sucks you in like a black hole and youre lost until you finally come up for air at the end and realize you zoomed through the entire book. Theres mystery

Amazing! hilariously funny and gory at the same time!
Loved it! i dont think debbie writes bad books at all! She always has this way with words and stories that grab you hardcore! This book had me snorting laughing 😂 and then other times left me feeling pump up from all that action! no romance.. yet 😏 but so much flirting! I know its coming and i cant wait! Its gona be explosive! 😈 The title lives up to its name, you think your human but you are far from it! Awesome dynamic, cool friendships, fun

Wow! What a epic adventure that Debbie takes us on. Seraphina is a loveable and feisty character and I loved how she navigates the world of reapers, supernaturals and the revelations that come her way. The men are to die for and add such a great layer to the story with the slow burn element. They each have their own developments and I loved the emphasis on getting to know the men individually rather than as a group. The storyline flows with such ease and as soon as you start this journey you ...more

Nice start to a new series.

I enjoyed getting to know Serafina and her new team. There are a lot of open threads out there that bred questions needing answers. I actually would like to know more about the foster brother too as there seems to be a lot in the background to that situation.

I liked some of the men more than others, but I can see where they all might fit in in the future.

I will defiantly read more.

Great beginning to a new series. I just cant believe how well Ms. Cassidy draws you in and makes you go, Wow!
Although there are still some questions, for me, about the new world, things were explained pretty well. I think it's pretty neat the way Serafina aka Fee has the capacity to remember things so fast. The series has so many
