This is hands down the sweetest book (children's or otherwise) I have ever read.
I ordered it only on the merit of its title and the dog on the cover (knowing nothing about David Milgrim) but oh boy am I happy with it.
It's going to be difficult to find a book which beats the warmth of this one. But for Universe's sake, I shall try!

This is a good book for beginner readers. Very easy for the kids to read and my 3 kids thought that it was funny. I would recommend this book to others.

Buddy will not listen to anyone but the little boy in this book. When Dad tells Buddy to sit, he stands. When Mom tells Buddy to roll over, he naps. Buddy will only obey the little boy. So when Buddy runs off to the park there is only one person who is able to get him to come home. The little boy and his secret of giving lots of cuddles and kisses to Buddy gets Buddy to return home. Recommended to any family that has or wants a dog and for beginner readers.

This was the perfect book for my new reader. Repetitive words, very short sentences,cute illustrations and a funny story. Perfect!

We've enjoyed Milgram's early readers about Otto, so when I saw this in the Scholastic catalog, I looked it up. The text was harder than the Otto books, but that was okay because Natalie's reading has advanced. The story was very cute and had a nice structure for an early reader.

Loved this first reader (kindergarten/1st grade). Lots of repetition but the illustrations make this story funny and much more interesting than I usually find in readers.

Grades K-1. Very funny book about a dog who won't do what the grown-ups want, but listens to the kid. Love!

Really cute with very lively, yet simple illustrations. Buddy only listens to the youngest boy in the family because he "knows how to ask".
