Made Marian Mixtape
The best mixtape always has a mix of favorites on it— songs playing in the background at Jude and Derek’s wedding or when Simone finally falls in love. Loud beats pounding the dance floor when Blue tries to seduce Tristan in public, or sleepy notes written late at night while Jude is on tour. Strains of familiar music bring heart-gripping memories rushing back in—memories...more
A magnificent walk with the Marian’s ! More from our great characters in this series. I loved this so much. Mixed tape, refers to the list of songs you can play for certain tales. This is a fantastic read, we see Jude and Derek, Simone and Joel, Blue and Tristan, clubbing, Jude and Derek, with Jude’s loneliness on tour, Beau and Maverick, Dante and AJ, Teddy and Jaime stranded, Tilly and Harold’s secret, rescued by Mark, previously, ...more
Made Marian Mixtape is a collection of stories set in the world of the Made Marian series. It would be best enjoyed by readers who are already familiar with those characters and the world of Marian. All of the Marian favorites are here in one book from Blue and Tristan’s night out on the town, to Simone’s wedding, to a longer story featuring Ammon, scenes with Teddy and Jamie, as well as a new face or two. Some of the stories are quick glimpse scenes and some are ...more
Although each little ‘song’ is self-contained and enjoyable, this book is best enjoyed by those who have a passing acquaintance with the Made Marian world. If you’ve read all the big books, you’re in a great position to truly enjoy this. If you happen to have read all the smaller stories as well, you’ll be likely to fall even more in love. Heck, you might be inspired to go back and re-read the whole series. I know I was tempted. So many books, so little time. (Quick note – ...more
Ammon's and Mark's story was a stand out! So sad but so beautiful too.
There is so much love and fun in this family.
As always, there is plenty of laughter and sexy times but overall so much love and happiness.
It gave me all the feels… So incredibly good to connect with this family again and their amazing characters.
That being said, I am struggling to get a decent review up because tbh I don’t want to go into specifics. As these are all short stories centering on the men and family members of the Marian family I don’t want ...more
4.5 stars...So this was a fun collection of stories to read but three definitely stood out.
First, I loved the story of Simone and Joel’s wedding day. After Borrowing Blue I had a soft spot for Simone and always wondered why we never got more info on her. Then there were references to her and Joel in later books but no details. So it was nice to get that story finally.
Second, my favorite story was the story of Ammon and Mark. ...more
The Made Marian series is a favorite of mine, and I enjoyed every single one of these stories that go along with the series.
It would be impossible to pick just one although I think Ammon’s leads the way for me. They all had characters I love or loved getting to know in the case of ones I didn’t know as well yet, and wonderful glimpses into their lives
I really only read short stories, etc when they go with series/ characters I already love as I much ...more
I really enjoy the comedy element to the Made Marian series but I find that this collection fell mostly in the serious or seriously sexy category.
I will say that Blue and Tristan ( Borrowing Blue) are my favorite couple and I found their short in this collection to be my favorite. The comedy is still there for this couple. I appreciated the insight into Aunt Tilly and I hope for a bit more from her story.
As for some of the other shorts I found them ...more
For example, I would probably balk at reading a whole book about Aunt Tilly. She's awesome, don't get me wrong, and I'd probably eat my words if Lucy'd done another book like Wilde Love, but in Made Marian Mixtape she's got Tilly and Howard's story covered just ...more
Love Shack = 3 stars.
Derek and Jude are my fav Marian couple so I like reading anything extra about them which prob got them an extra star more than I would of rated that part. It seemed rushed and incomplete. It was very cavity inducing sweet but too short. Was just the night before the wedding happenings and then zip past the wedding. Would of been nice to have more. Extra bonus points for having the grannies in the scene. Love the 3 old ladies the ...more
Made Marian Mixtape couldn’t have come out at a better time for me. I just finished another read of the Made Marian series, this time on audio, so I was more than ready to catch up with all things Marian. No surprise here - but I loved it! Catching up where it all started with Blue and Tristan, Jude and Derek, and Simone’s well-deserved HEA. Plus Mav and learning more about Ammon. Speaking of Ammon!! Holy freaking hotness there!! Fans self... And Aunt Tilly and everything we ...more
This book was so very good. It had so many stories in it. Each one was well written and fully developed. It gives the reader a good look into the lives of the Marion clan that we had been reading about. I particularly liked both Tilly's story and Amon's storylines. It was good to know more about their backgrounds. Also it explains alot about how Tilly is the way she is. LOL which is fabulous. I very much want to be just like Aunt Tilly when I get to be her age.
The stories vary in length from just a few pages, maybe a glimpse in the life of one of the established couples, to a couple of complete stories (Ammon, the latest addition to the Marian family, gets his own complete novelette).
It's not exclusively MM, we also get Simon's wedding and we dive into the real background of the one and only Aunt Tilly.
Revisiting these guys, after reading their stories ...more
Wow. I didn't know I needed this book in my life until I started reading. I didn't want it to end! The thing I really loved about this compilation was that, not only did Lucy bring us the stories of well established couples, she gave us new stories with new characters as well. I really loved the behind the scenes feel that these stories gave me. And of course I can't forget Aunt Tilly! It was refreshing to get a story from Simone and Tilly's ...more
The stories off a mix of drama, emotion, humor, steam and sweet romance. It is well written, interesting and entertaining. The characters are amazing and loveable - they are characters you wish you could know in real life because they are just amazing. ...more
Can’t go wrong with the Marians! Love seeing different perspectives and behind the scenes. Sneak peeks at what happens next makes it easier when you finish the series. It’s so hard to say goodbye when you fall in love with an entire family not just a single character or couple. Funny, emotional, hot.. all the feels... never a dull moment or disappointment from Lucy! Loved it, binged it, couldn’t put it down!
Once again Lucy Lennox has given us a fabulous little snippet into the Marian men & their partners lives. This was a great way to keep us all updated on everyone but with loads of laughs and tons of love to go around. I loved ALL of these stories, but I particularly liked Aunt Tilley and Harold’s story and was so pleased everyone has a very happy ending. I’m just hoping there’s more to come, I love these guys and their families ...more
There is humor, romance, tears, love and so much happiness all contained in this one special collection of stories.
Lucy Lennox has outdone herself and given her readers the best Christmas present they could wish for!
I don't know why Lucy felt the need to write this. I think she did a good job tieing up everything in other stories.
These stories seem rushed and well, poorly written. I never like it when authors just can leave well enough alone and just end a series.
Lucy, please just put the Marian family away. We have enjoyed them now let's move on. You are a great writer and this is doing you no justice.
....... this book is absolutely majestic. Chock full of awesome short stories some of which had me howling - they were hilarious!! It was great fun catching up with the Marians and I really loved the new(er) characters of Ammon, Mark, Gideon and Hunter - hopefully there'll be more to come from these guys.
