Kristin Pierce is an award-winning children’s author and the founder of Inner Compass Books where she has made it her mission to create mindfully crafted books with empowering learning messages. Inner Compass Books incorporate concepts and learning such as self-empowerment, growth mindset, self-reflection, thinking outside-the-box, dreaming big, following one's passion, and trusting one's inner knowing.

Her titles include: Your Inner Compass That Could (2018); Nautilus Award winner Mayva O'Meere, Creationeer (2018); Magnus O'Meere, Mind Pioneer (2019); Nautilus Award winner The Sweet Dreams Express: A Meditative Bedtime Journey (2020); Nautilus Award winner Hazel Mist, Hypnotist ( 2020); My Cosmic Hammer (2020); and The Word Nerd.

For most of her life, Kristin Pierce was dominantly a left-brained, logical thinker who was greatly unaware of the many creative bones within her. For the past decade, she has been developing her intuition, which has allowed her to dismantle loads of limiting beliefs that were hiding her creative bones. In doing so, she discovered she was able to unearth other right-brain qualities that were nearly impossible for her to access since childhood--including creativity, imagination, and innovation--which allowed all kinds of wonderful things to unfurl, such as these books.

Kristin is a self-awareness educator whose mission is to empower others to deconstruct the limiting beliefs that are keeping them small and stuck in order to rise to their potential, come alive, and impact the world. She is constantly asking questions, challenging old ways of thinking, stretching her comfort zone, dreaming big, and encouraging and inspiring others to do the same.

She lives in Saskatchewan, Canada with her husband, two children, and their dog.

I was so excited to buy this for my daughter. I love the idea of teaching children to listen to their own inner voice. The story teaches children to trust themselves and that builds confidence. I would recommend this to anyone with young children!

Inner compass is a family favourite that both our 5 year old and us enjoy reading. The cadence and pace is good with rhyming pages and colourful fun illustrations to look at it. The best feature of the book is the uplifting, empowering message in each page which is so important to growing minds.

It is a wonderful book, but also an excellent conversation started for those learning moments. At the back of the book has thoughtful questions to encourage discussion between parent and child. Really recommend, we have gifted a number of copies already!

This book is exactly what I was looking for to help communicate to my daughter the importance of being confident in your individuality and trusting your gut! It is wonderfully written, and the images keep her engaged and asking questions, which I love! We’ve read this book so many times (at her request) that she has now memorized most of it and can recite most of it to me (she’s 3 and can’t read yet). I love that this powerful message has been instilled in her. Thank you Kristin for creating such a powerful learning tool to encourage self discovery and acceptance for my daughter!
