Have you ever been to an office holiday party?

Well, Matthew Kaplan has been to plenty, and he’s not impressed. In fact, he hates attending the annual gathering at his office. This year, though, he’s trying to make partner in his small law firm and does his best to look like he’s enjoying himself, even though he knows the event is really a Christmas party with just the

Very cute story.

I love the way these two find each other again..., it really makes the spark between them work for me. Nice family moments too.

I think of a good latke as hash browns on crack, and Matt, one of the main characters of this book, would appear to agree. While attending the firm’s annual holiday party, he happily discovered that latkes were included on the menu. While scarfing them down, he then discovers that the caterer was a one-night stand whom he’d never forgotten. And, thus, the story begins.
This is a sweet story and it gets my recommendation.

I loved this story. A hookup becomes something real and latkes are the pathway to true love. I liked Bubbe's test for love. A sweet way of helping her grandson realize his own feelings. So many wonderful warm feelings in this story... I only wish it was longer. I want to know more about what happens with Ethan and Matthew.

I was looking for a good holiday read and this fit the bill. There is humor and believable smexy scenes. A harmless misunderstanding leads to a really authentic scene between Ethan and his grandmother. That was a good touch which elevates this short story from just okay to really good. I can’t stop smiling.

Cute. The scenes of nookie got in there fast, but also one of the protagonists interacts with his Bubbe (grandmother) to learn how to make latkes. It seemed much like how I learned to make them from a recipe in the local paper from some years ago. Also it was a sweet scene.

Enjoyable. Quick holiday read

This was an enjoyable holiday story involving Ethan and Matt. You are drawn right away into their story in the first few lines of the tale. It’s sweet, holiday-ish, uplifting, and a recommend!

pěkně nudné a neobjevné. Žádná invence. Řemeslně zvládnuté.

JODI spent too many years in New York and San Francisco stage managing classical plays, edgy fringe work, and the occasional musical. She, therefore, is overdramatic, takes herself way too seriously, and has been known to randomly break out in song. Her men are imperfect but genuine, stubborn but likable, often kinky, and frequently their own worst enemies. They are characters you can’t help but ...more
