Zelda Primrose's world comes crashing down when a family crisis calls her back to her hometown. A town she hates. Everything she’s ever wanted is under threat, but Zelda’s used to heartache and disappointment. This time, she isn’t backing down. She’s been through too much to quit. Determined, she sets her sights on her goal. A goal that definitely does not include falling for the tall, handsome man who keeps popping up at just the right time.
Stone Barlow’s not a complicated man. If he can buy up land and turn a profit, then it’s a good day. If he can invest in a lucrative business, even better. He doesn’t have time for love or finding his mate. Especially not when he sees how it’s turned his buddy into a domesticated dragon. But when Stone is invited to Beast’s place for a family barbecue, he’s immediately taken by the curvy red-headed bombshell. She’s aloof and quiet, but Stone can see a fire inside of her. The flame calls to him.
Unfortunately, Silver Springs is a dangerous place to be when you owe money to the wrong people. Zelda’s on the hook for her father’s debts, and life just keeps throwing her curveballs. Stone’s willing to do anything to protect her, but Zelda’s too used to fixing her own problems. If she gives Stone a chance she just might get everything she’s ever wanted.
Milly Taiden (also writes as April Angel) was born in the prettiest part of the Caribbean (to her) known as the Dominican Republic. Currently, she resides in New York City with her husband, bossy young son and their little dog Speedy.
When she’s not working full-time, texting with her best friend Heidi in England, chastising her son for pulling the dog’s ears, shopping with her sister Jewel or watching scary movies with her husband, she can be found writing on her laptop.
She’s addicted to shoes, chocolate, Dunkin Donuts coffee and JIMMY THOMAS covers!!!
Book 4 Zelda and Stone Stone is dragon clan alpha and Beast friend at a family party Stone meets Zelda cousin to Beast wife. Stone owns his own business buying and restoring buildings that are left to rot. Zelda moved away from home as soon as she could but her alcoholic gambling dad keeps dragging her back especially when he runs out of his epilepsy tablets and diabetes medication but when she gets there she finds out her dad owe a lot of money and the bookies are coming after him and now her because she’s always paid his debt previously. Stone is first person Zelda felt wanted to help her without payment but this is sad because Zelda auntie had tried to help and wanted her to move in but Zelda felt she couldn’t leave her dad. I’m glad this book had a very HEA and Zelda finally got her true dream but I was surprised by how sweet Stone is with Zelda especially how expressive he is to her like calling her love or always wanting to help her Sad to think this is last or the Primrose family. Hope there’s a spin off series that they pop into.
A gorgeous curvy girl with self-esteem issues and a sexy dragon shifter who claims she’s his mate. Who could want for more? This was a very sexy, hot and entertaining read by one of my favorite authors. Milly did well to mix in some side characters and bad guys that you are glad get beaten. You can’t help but cheer when our gorgeous sexy girl gives into the hot sexy dragon shifter. Well done!
Savage Caress was a fun read. Steamy but unexpected. Zelda has self esteem issues that result from being abandoned and lied to her entire life by those who should care for her and lift her up. Her mother left, her father is really a selfish PITA, her ex lied to her. So now she guards her heart. She doesn't want to let Stone in, afraid she will fall for him and he will leave. Or lie, or let her down. Stone has a tough time trying to break through the wall she has built around her heart. Can he break it down? Can he get her to trust in him? Her father's addictions are now affecting Zelda to the point of danger. Can she survive? There is an HEA... no spoiler there because Ms. Taiden would not write anything less. The journey to that HEA however is anything but boring.
Stone knows Zelda is his mate but he just has to convince her of that.. Once burned it is hard to trust anyone and Zelda has spent her entire life taking care of others and not feeling worthy.. This book was really good could totally relate with Zelda and her insecurities...
Savage Caress is the fourth book in the Savage Shifters series. In this book we meet human Zelda Primrose & dragon shifter Stone Barlow & follow them as they find their way to happily ever after.
Zelda is the cousin of the Primrose sisters from Full Moon Bay, but she hasn't been as fortunate as they are. She's from a poorer part of the family & didn't have the kind of support growing up that they did. When her father calls with a problem she has to take care of for him, she just sees her dreams start to fall apart. But she's determined that she's not going to let that happen & not even that handsome dragon shifter is going to get in her way.
Stone is a successful business man & the head of his clan. He hasn't got the time or interest to try to find his mate. But when he spots Zelda at his buddy's barbeque she rocks his world. But will he be able to protect her when her father's problems become hers?
I really enjoyed this newest addition to the Savage Shifters series. The main characters were likeable & engaging. The story line was interesting & kept me turning the pages. My only problem is that it seems this like this might be the end of the series & I was hoping to see the story of a few of the supporting characters from previous books like Sheriff Tyson Force. All in all this is a series that I'll be sorry to see ending.
I didn't finish the book, so there's a chance it got better, but here are my thoughts.
I'm not a fan of a heroine being made into some meek little victim and that's the vibe Zelda gives off big time. Her dad gambles and lies to her and she feels obligated to bail him out even to her own detriment, she can't seem to stand up for herself because that same father honestly treats her like crap and she lets him. Then we see how her cousins & aunt (the Primrose women from the previous books) treat her, and it's really not that much better. Isa won't listen to Zelda or respect her boundaries, Maribelle decides to share Zelda's personal, private history with a room full of strangers and when Zelda manages to actually stand up to her aunt and say "now's not the time to talk about this" her aunt just waves her off and keeps going. And Zelda just... sticks around and lets it happen.
I don't mind a heroine who's been given a lousy hand by life, but Zelda seems to wallow in it and even when she takes steps to improve her life and herself, she lets everyone else drag her back.
Stone has potential, I didn't make it far enough in the book to get a real feel for him, but he didn't seem so bad.
As I said, maybe the book gets better, but it honestly felt like it was just going to get worse.
Poor Zelda. When is it ever going to be HER time. With her mother leaving her and her fathers gambling addiction, she's pretty much raised herself. She is a job she hates, just because it means she has enough to look after her father. Not that he's notice, he's far too caught up in his pity party.
When her dad starts missing his meds to pay for his gambling addiction, Zelda has about had enough. She returns to the town she associates with everything she hates. But her cousins refuse to allow her to wallow or hide from them any longer. She is coming to the family BBQ, even if they come and drag her to it.
But whilst there she catches the eye of Beast's friend, Stone. She isn't scared cos he's a shifter, more because her ex was a shifter and didn't tell her, the one thing she can't stomach after her childhood. Stone is besotted and has to find someway of getting his mate to accept him. But his plan goes pear-shaped when an omission, more than a lie lands him in hot water wth Zelda.
Zelda is not an easy nut to crack. She gives Stone a hard time, unnecassarily at times, but she is also hard on herself. She refuses to see what a good man Stone can be if she can just get past some of her own issues. Great little read and I love the Primrose family!
She's more mother than daughter to her father. He's sick but won't do what the doctor says. Not only that she's all the time bailing him out of trouble. The expensive kind. On another dreaded visit, her cousins and aunt push her into coming to a BBQ. She hates the dangerous, dilapidated town where she grew up and her father still lives. Her cousins live close but their town is picture-perfect in comparison. She meets a friend of theirs, a hot dragon shifter, who draws her attention which she tries to hide.
Stone keeps to business doesn't need a woman to distract him. Until he sees Zelda and knows what she is to him. Despite being human she is his and he's going to fight for her. Miss independence may not be so easy to woo.
Zelda has finally saved for her dream and she going to go for it. That is if the problem her dad is in....well you need to read to see what happens.
Of course, there is steam, bad guys, and wonderful characters. It's a Milly Taiden books. I enjoyed and you will as well.
Milly is such an amazing author her talent for world-building and character-building is just over the top. A series writer that pens a story that keeps you interested in the entire series.
you know Zelda knows all about family and the hard fact you can't always choose your own. Papa just can't get it right and leaves her to fix the mess he gets her into, yet this time she just may not be able to handle it on her own.
Stone is stone all hard and all about that money, he isn't about to be hooked up with a female just to turn him all silly. Nope, he ain't got no the time for that lubby dubby aw. mushy stuff. Then fate was like BAM! I am Dragon here me roar! all things change now are they going to keep testing out the chemistry between them for the long haul or they better off doing their own thang, the thing that doesn't excite them, the thing that doesn't have their heart beating harder. Yeah that thing.
a bit of danger lurks, *smiles* some smooth skills and some hot scenes all packed in this very cool amazing story. Grab it and enjoy.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Zelda Primrose has always had just herself to depend on. Her mother ran out on her when she was just a baby and her father has lost himself in alcohol and gambling, leaving her to clean up the mess. Meeting her mate while visiting her cousin for dinner was not on her plans, but if she can trust Stone then maybe she'll find she asking for help can work out for the best.
I really liked Stone. He wasn't looking for a mate, but he also didn't try to fight once he found her. He was patient, willing to give Zelda the time to accept that they were mates. Yes, he makes some mistakes along the way, but apologizes and tries to fix things. I did think Zelda over-reacted at times, she was so determined to push everyone away, understandable given her father but she did have family that tried (her aunt and cousins), so she did have examples that people can be trusted.
I've only read the 1st book in this series before, but I think this holds-up well as a stand-alone.
Oh My Goodness! I volunteered to review this book. Milly Taiden is one of my ultimate favorite authors to read. This is the fourth book in Savage Shifter series. This story is about Stone and Zelda. Stone is a dragon shifter that is friends with Zelda's cousin mate. Zelda has been hurt in the past by a shifter. So now she is unsure about shifters. Her cousin invited her over for dinner. That's where she mets Stone. They are so perfect for each other. I loved the chemistry between Stone and Zelda. I can't wait to read the next book in this series. Can Stone get passed the walls that Zelda put around her heart? Could Zelda get passed all of the hurt that she's been through by her dad and her ex? I HIGHLY suggest these books. It's a MUST HAVE!!!!! Keep up the amazing work Milly! I couldn't stop reading and when I got to the end, I wanted MORE!
This is Book 4 in the Savage Shifters series. We meet Zelda as she’s going home to once again take care of her dad’s problems, but they are bigger than she realizes. She meets Stone at her cousin’s house. Let’s be honest here. Stone is one hot dragon who has met his mate but now he must wait and see if she will give him a chance or not. This book has so much excitement in it that it’s a blast to read. I really enjoyed reading this book and I highly recommend it to anyone who’s looking for a really good book. It’s a quick fast read, and you will love it! I just hope this isn’t the end of the series because there are so many others in the dragon family that deserve their book, too. Maybe a spin off series is in store for us? I voluntarily read and reviewed this book that I received from Booksprout.
I absolutely loved this book! This is Zelda and Stones story and omg what a finish to the Primrose family. Zelda has had a hard life always working to pay her father's debts na d his medicine. Stone isn't looking for a mate he's a busy man and just wants to focus on buying property and making communities save for families. Zelda has only had herself she doesn't trust easily and even more so of shifters. Can Stone convince her They are meant to be? Can Zelda let her walls down and let him in? When stone messes up can be get her forgiveness? When troubles comes for Zelda and her dad can Stone save them all?
Zelda is depressed when she gets yet another phone call from her father telling her he needs money to buy his medication. She knows he gambled it but she can’t say no and drives to his place to help him. Zelda’s cousin finds out she’s in town and insists she come over for their barbecue. Stone immediately senses something amazing when he walks into the party. The second he spots Zelda he realizes she is his dragon’s mate. Unfortunately, there’s a whole load of baggage and trouble to work through first. The characters were great together and their interactions were sweet. I received an advance copy of this book and voluntarily left a review.
The final book in the Savage Shifters series, features another Primrose heroine, only this time it is Primrose cousin, Zelda. Unlike the other heroines in this mini-series, Zelda isn’t a ballsy, outgoing woman. Instead she is very introverted, not that this makes her weak, rather her rough upbringing has made her very strong and independent to a fault! This is another quick read from Milly. If you’ve read the other Savage Shifters books, you’ll enjoy this addition to the series, and there is no real need to have read the other ones first. It’s also good for when you want a quick, sexy read.
This is Stone and Zelda's story . Zelda is at work when once again she gets a call for help from her father , the gambler , telling her that he needs his meds but the money she had already sent to pay for them he has spent . Getting kind of fed up with the way he treats her , Zelda once again heads his way . Stone is hoping like crazy that this isn't a set up to hook him up with some female . But once he steps outside all bets are off ! His dragon awakes yelling MATE ! This is well written and recommended to all .
What is the best thing that could happen to a curvy girl with self-esteem issues? Why a gorgeous dragon shifter who claims she is his mate. At least that’s what dragon shifter Stone Barlow thinks. Zelda isn’t so sure. Zelda has been burnt before and the only male role model she has leads her to believe she is better off without. Stone will have to up his game to win her heart. This is a fun and sexy romp with a hot dragon, a smart gal, some conniving relatives and some really bad dudes. Oh what fun.
Another fantastic addition to the Savage Shifters series. I absolutely loved Stone he absolutely understood the needs of his mate Zelda and when she try to distance herself from him not truly understand what it meant to be a mate he stood by her side letting his heart and his patience lead the way. Overall a enjoyable and entertaining read. I received a free copy via booksprout I voluntarily read and review this ARC no monetary compensation was received and the opinions I have expressed are my own.
Zelda returns home to help out her ailing father. Home. The last place she wants to be. Zelda has been caring for her father for most of her life. And as much as she doesn't want to do it, she feels obligated to do so. When she meets Stone she is instantly defensive and on guard. More so after she discovers that Stone is a shifter Zelda has a barbed wire fence around her heart. Stone must climb over that fence to find Zelda's heart and claim it as his own.

I think this may be the last of the books about the Primrose family but I really hope there will be other books in this series. It was wonderful to have the Primrose sisters and their mates along with their mother make an important appearance in this book which kept me involved in their life. Doesn't mom still need a mate? Anyhow, I loved Stone and Zelda and admired how she was so selfless but finally stood up for herself. It was quite a bit of growth for her. Stone was the supportive shifter mate we have come to love. I don't think there is anything better than fated mates.
Zelda does NOT want a man. Her mother left when she was little. She has "taken care" of her father forever...Zelda doesn't want to come back to her crumbling hometown, to her father, but when his latest gambling debts call her back, she has no choice. Then she meets Stone- a dragon shifter who says she's his mate. But considering her past, that can't be so! Can this formerly cranky dragon show her what a mate is supposed to be, as well as change her heart and mind about him, as well as other shifters? Another flirty and fabulous dragon shiftef romance by Milly Taiden!
So we all know that Milly Taiden gives the best stories with shifters she doesn't disappoint with this one. When Zelda went home to take care of her gambling father she didn't expect to meet sexy Stone. Talk about surprises and sweet dreams. Stone didnt expect to see his mate at his friends house nor was he ready but time has a way. The question is what mess did her father wraped in and could he help her before it is to late.

Zelda has had a hard life with no mother and a deadbeat, alcoholic, gambler of a father. She is invited to dinner to a cousin's house where all three of her cousins are mated to handsome dragon shifters. Zelda was lied to by her previous fiance who was a shifter and so she doesn't trust shifters. She immediately notices this hot, hot man whose name is Stone. His dragon recognizes her as his mate. They have some obstacles to overcome and eventually they work together to overcome those obstacles and find their happily ever after.
Struggled to finish as I disliked Zelda and her manipulative father. A daughter who clings to a parent who has no respect for her or her dreams. I went back and read the previous three books as it has been a long time since a book in this series has been written and I was really looking forward to reading it. Unfortunately, this was a hard, annoying slog to read and took me ages. I kept putting it down in annoyance, as I cannot abide addictive behaviour being enabled. Zelda was weak and she behaved in an annoying manner that kept allowing her father to continue his manipulations and to continue his addictive behaviour by continually paying his debts off. Zelda acts like a witch. She basically has sex with a virtual stranger as she has only just met Stone. She is then mean to him and uses her past to act nasty towards Stone, then has the cheek to state they have only been on two dates. I ended up feeling sorry for Stone and wished he had a nicer, more sensible mate. Though he did act stupidly in going to the bar. He is a flying, fire breathing dragon but just fights them on the ground and gets hurt. This book was offered to me for an honest review but I ended up reading it through Kindle Unlimited.

Author, Milly Taiden did it again with this great dragon shifter book that has me rooting for Zelda and Stone all the way from page one! And oh my stars what does a dragon shifter do when a group of wild piggies mess with his mate? He makes Bar B Que. Oh my this book is so good and if you have missed books 1-3 take a stroll thru savage love and you will understand why they say when you find your Mate you stick with your Mate.
This book was written very well and very relate able with the insecurities of Zelda. For me I was able to understand the pride to do it herself as much as possible. She had been jilted by so many people that it is understandable that she is hesitant with Stone. Stone was very patient with her but was also learning how to "woo" her in a way that was cute with how hard he tried to understand her insecurities and his urge to take care of all the problems.
Ms Taiden has this gift and I am awed by it. Zelda has had a rough life. Coming back home was not in the cards. Stone is a shifter with lots of responsibilities. All that stopped when he saw Zelda , mate. This book is part of the Savage series and it really caps it off. Zelda has trouble in her life and a chip on her shoulders. Can Stone make it all better? I volunteered to read and review an advance reader copy.
Stone is happy being single, doing his own thing...until he meets Zelda and realizes she's his mate. And she's in trouble. Now if he could just get her to accept his help, things would go alot smoother.
I enjoyed this book. Maybe not as much as some of this authors other books, but it was still worth reading.
I received a copy of this book via Booksprout. My thoughts and opinions are my own and without bias or favor.
WOW this is a awesome series with sizzling passion between the couples. The characters are exciting heartwarming and captivating. Once I started reading this story with it's emotional and sizzling chemistry I couldn't stop reading each page made me want to read the next page. The passion is sizzling hot with lots of love if you are looking for a sizzling passionate relationships that everyone will enjoy reading then this is the series to binge on.
Milly has written another hit. Stone is a yummy Alpha. Zelda is broken. As soon as he scents her;his beast screams mate. How will Stone break her walls down. However, when her life is in danger all bets are off. Love the characters. The storyline is phenomenal. Excellent read and series.
