Best Decision Hiring a man in need of discipline and finding out he’s your fated mate.

Bartholomew
When a friend calls, hoping I’ll take a problem employee off his hands, I jump at the chance. Despite running a large company and having a bustling city at my feet, I’m bored. I need a project. And if that project happens to be teaching a young man discipline, all the better.

But when he arrives, I realize my mistake. Pierre carries burdens from his past and needs my comfort as well as my discipline. My dragon instincts tell me I’m never going to want to let him go.

Pierre
I made a terrible mistake, and it nearly cost me my life. Now I’ve got a second chance with Bartholomew, and I’m determined not to screw it up, no matter what he requires of me. But I didn’t expect to want him so much, not when longing for a different dragon was what got me into this mess in the first place.

All I’d ever wanted was security, but now I’m falling in love. And nothing sounds riskier than trusting my heart to a dragon.

Lonely Dragons Club series is an MM dragon shifter mpreg series about finding your one true love. The CityDragon's Mate is Book 3. The next book is The Island Dragon's Mate.

A Joyfully Jay review.

The City Dragon’s Mate is the third book in Silvia Violet’s Lonely Dragon’s Club series. While the first two books overlap in timeline and in some of their scenes, this story stands a bit more separately, but still builds on the first two books. We met Pierre in The Christmas Dragon’s Mate and there saw his conflict with Laszlo and Roman. So I was excited to see that this book featured Pierre in a leading role, as I am a big fan of redemption stories. Violet does a really nice job here of showing us there is much more to Pierre than we have previously seen. He is not only incredibly sorry for his past actions, he is also a responsible man who has sacrificed to take care of his family. Despite his past bad behavior, I couldn’t help but feel for Pierre, lost and on the verge of crisis. So I definitely found myself sympathetic to Pierre and rooting for him to find his happiness.

I have to admit that this may be my favorite one in the series. I loved book one, book two was okay but this one?? A winner.

We first meet Pierre in A Christmas Dragon’s Mate and he isn’t the most likable character as he causes tension and confusion between Roman and Lazlo. His punishment is to be sent away which lands him right into Bartholomew’s clutches.

Bartholomew comes off as cold and controlling — and he is...controlling that is. Pierre needs to be disciplined for his mistake and Bartholomew plans to do just that. I really enjoyed how different he came off vs the dragon MCs in book one and two. He was just as stubborn and possessive but it was hotter almost?

Pierre and Bartholomew together was hot, sweet and I loved how understanding Bartholomew was of Pierre’s past. And, I definitely loved having more understanding of why Pierre did what he did during book one.

These books are pretty much “insta love.” There isn’t really any slowness to it. These dragons mcs know what they want and go after it — any hesitation comes from the omegas.

If low angst books about dragons finding their fated mates with of course some very sexy times — I definitely recommend this book and series.

Four stars!

It was going well. For example fixed the meeting in a previous book problem and let them meet here.
A bit of a more interesting d/s dynamic in theory (although not explored enough for my personal taste)

BUT
CW magic dick, pregnancy

Some quotes
Mine, my dragon insisted. He certainly was. For a while anyway. My dragon snarled. No. Keep. (p. 20)

"Nothing, not even the treasure that surrounded us, mattered like Pierre did." (p. 75)

NSFW infos:
One dragon (dark blond, "chilly gray" eyes)
One omega, pale with dark hair and "no taller than five foot six"
Punishment for not fulfilling tasks: spanking
sex in hoard
half-shifted forked tongue coming out to play

This a good story and a nice addition to the series. I admit to going into this without an open mind when it came to Pierre. He did something really stupid in the first book. I tried to like him, and I did somewhat, but there are some things characters can’t get past for me, regardless of their so-called reasoning behind it. This one also doesn’t have the humor the other two had. Honestly, the story wouldn’t have worked if it did. There needed to be a little angst. It was written very well, as were the sex scenes.

I put off reading this one for a few days because I wasn't sure how Bartholomew was going to handle Pierre concerning the whole "Laszlo and Roman" issue from book two... but, I shouldn't have worried! *grin*

This one was entertaining from the get-go and I was glad to hear Pierre's backstory, it explained a lot and definitely improved my dislike for him... Life can be so hard and we don't always make the best choices... but true regret and asking for forgiveness is always a good start toward redemption!

Looking forward to reading Desmond's story... :D

Side note: I will say it again, quotation marks come in sets for a reason... I just wish more authors would Google why and then use them at the beginning and END of each quote! ;P

Bartholomew finds himself with a new employee Pierre, thanks to a fellow dragon and friend.
Pierre has a lot to make up for because of his past behaviour with his last employer and dragon, Lazlo.
I enjoyed this shortish story of a dragon and his fated mate, watching their love bloom as Pierre finds his place.
A great addition to a series I've enjoyed.

"The City Dragon's Mate" is our third "date" with "Lonely Dragons Club" series and I honestly think that this novella by Silvia Violet is the best one of the three released so far. Let's start with the characters, as one of the leads in this story is someone we already know from the first volume – Pierre. Undoubtedly, it is worth noting that in this part we get to know him from a completely different side than before, thanks to which for some time we fight with our contradictory feelings towards this character, and after a while we love him with all our hearts. Pierre has a lot of depth and is undoubtedly an extremely interesting protagonist, whose story really touches us.

In "The City Dragon's Mate" I also liked the fact that the author made this moving story sweeter by adding some kinks that are perfectly matched with the characters, so the reader can find here a bit of D/s, "naughty boy" and spanking. I have to admit that Silvia Violet created Pierre and Bartholomew in such a way that their little sexual games really complement these two and from the beginning make them a really interesting couple.

To sum up, "The City Dragon's Mate" is a very pleasant and moving novel, which will certainly appeal to all the fans of the series and to those who love the author's other works.

______________________

Laszlo asks fellow dragon Bartholomew the favor of taking in his former employee Pierre
and Bartholomew agrees but he's just not sure why he did. After all Pierre committed
the transgression of attempting harm on Laszlo's very pregnant omega mate Romeo by being
bratty and rude to him all because Pierre was dragon struck with Laszlo. Bartholomew agrees
cuz he could use an employee to do his cleaning (to his precise specifications) and this dragon
was wallowing himself in boredom and loneliness. Pierre believed he was given a 2nd chance
at redemption for his errors with Laszlo. He desired security and comfort and financial help in
paying for his sister's education. All he had ever to offer in ways of making money was his body.
He needed so much more but Pierre let his jealous obsession with Laszlo blind him to all else.
Now he had the chance to do so much better. What Bartholomew first saw in Pierre was an omega
needing to be taken care of but in dire need of discipline. Theirs is a long trek down the road to
discovery of ends not necessarily justifying the means. An ending of loneliness for both
is in the offing but the road's end is fraught with mistakes, errant assumptions, and bouts of loving.
This 3rd book in this series of Lonely Dragons Club is a not to be missed one. Voluntary review
given for the ARC I received.

I really liked the approach the author took with this fascinating Mpreg dragon shifter romance & found the plot quite interesting with well-developed characters that are realistically emotional flawed. I particularly liked the way the male dragon shifter went after his mate with no hesitation even though the omega was inclined to be a bit dubious about the situation. There are some character crossovers from previous books in this series but it can be read as a standalone. There is some good scene descriptions & world building.
There is: a rather controlling alpha male dragon shifter (Bartholomew aka Tolly) is asked by a friend (Laszlo) to take on problematic employee (Pierre) & Bartholomew discovers that Pierre is his mate with some devastating memories & needs to be disciplined & comforted by him, drama, attractions, discovery, mates, confusion, hearing voices, memories, discipline, spankings, bonding, heat issues, surprises, confrontations, apologies, complications, reassurances, verbal banter, happiness, contentment, steamy scenes, love & a well-deserved satisfying conclusion. I enjoyed reading this Mpreg shifter romance & would recommend it to people who enjoy reading this genre.

The City Dragon’s Mate is the third book in the Lonely Dragon’s Club by author Silvia Violet. This one has angst, love, and shiny in it. This book should be read in order. You meet characters from the other books in this story, they are pivotal to this story’s arc.
Bartholomew, is a dragon who lives in the city. He has a thriving business. He has never found his fated mate.
When Laszlo comes to him with a problem: a human who thought he was in love with Laszlo and tried to come between Laszlo and his mate, well Bartholomew says he will take Pierre on. Teach him discipline and punish him for what he has done.
Pierre is already more than sorry for what he did. He has good reasons, but no one is buying them right now. He is a good person who takes care of his sister puts her needs before his. He has had a run of bad luck, but the dragons have really taken him in and helped him. He is sorry for being a mess up.
He is a sweet person who just went about what he wanted the wrong way.
I liked these two together. They have a bunch of things to work through, and it is not easy. I loved how this one ended too. I highly recommend this series to all that love true love winning the day.

Dragon shifter Bartholomew was asked by a friend to take a problem employee of his and so he jumped at the chance as he was bored and needed a project. Teaching a young man discipline sounds worthy but when he arrives he realises that Pierre carries burdens from his past and needs comfort as well as his discipline. His dragon instincts tell him he's never going to want to let him go. Pierre made a terrible mistake and it nearly cost him his life. How with his second chance is determined not to screw it up. He never expected to want Bartholomew so much especially when that kind of thing was what got him into trouble in the first place. All he wanted was security but is now falling in love. Nothing sounds riskier than trusting his heart to a dragon.

This was a nice story of how taking punishment and trying to not make the same mistake again led another lonely dragon to their mate. I loved that Pierre resisted it because he couldn't trust his feelings and that eventually he had to trust them. Easy to read and understand. This is an MM story with mature content set in the Omegaverse with mpreg.

So good. I can't wait for the next one.

I am loving this series so much. And I seriously want to ride a dragon over the city at Christmas to look at all the pretty lights.

I honestly can't get enough of these books. Each one has sucked me in. I start reading and I just can't stop until I'm finished. All of the guys so far have been really sweet. Bartholomew and Pierre were a bit more spicy. And I loved it. I'm glad Pierre got his own dragon. I was just as mad at him as everyone else for what he did to Roman but it turns out, he's not a bad guy. Just a little misguided. I liked that Bartholomew took on the challenge. Their chemistry was off the charts. I couldn't wait to see how bratty Pierre would be and how Bartholomew would punish him. You have to read the book to find out.

Book 3 in the series.
There are always 2 sides to a story and although Pierre knows he made and regrets the huge mistake he made, he gets a second chance working for Bartholomew. This is something of a (mild) BDSM story line, which isn’t normally my choice of reading. However it’s handled very well. We have a bit of conflict within the Lonely Dragons group over the relationship, where we meet our next Dragon needing a mate. My only slight disappointment, throughout the book we hear about Pierre’s sister, the reason he’s done everything he has for the last years and yet she never makes an appearance, even when Pierre finds his mate and has his baby, nothing. I would have liked to see that bit of the storyline expanded. However it’s a good read and I look forward to book 4.

Bartholomew a high flying CEO and hundred year old dragon has seen two of his best friends find their mates, he's wondering if he will ever find his. Then Laszlo asks him to take one of his servants off his hands. Are things about to change?
Pierre has been released of his duties by Laszlo after he tried to break him and his mate up. He finds himself as a servant to sexy Dragon Bartholomew.
The pull they have when they meet cannot be contained. Surely they're not fated mates, are they?
I'm really enjoying this series. This book is low angst, sweet, sexy with a bit of kink thrown in. Excited for Desmond's book.

The (not so) lonely dragons are back and I have to say Pierre and Bartholomew (no nicknames please) are my favourite couple. Pierre has made mistakes in the past (okay okay big ones) and he is truly sorry, when he sent to Bartholomew he doesn’t know what to expect. When Bartholomew says he’ll take on Pierre he’s expecting One thing and get something else entirely.

If you like dragons and MPEG then this is a series that you will definitely enjoy, I love the emotional balance between Pierre and Bartholomew as the relationship grows and changes. This is a book that you can enjoy time and again, I have and would recommend this book and series.

Fun m/m paranormal romance

Pierre was a villain in the first book when he tried to come between true mates Laszlo and Roman. Roman kept Laszlo from killing him and instead Pierre was sent to another dragon, Bartholomew for a job and discipline. Pierre had no place to go and was still supporting his sister so he was willing to do anything to keep the job. Pierre honestly regretted his behavior with Laszlo and Roman but felt he couldn't be forgiven. Turns out he is the true mate to Bartholomew but doesn't feel worthy so we get angst and hard work to get to our HEA. An enjoyable and well written feel good book.

Another great add to the series. I love each new couple more and more! Bartholomew and Pierre are up next! I've been wanting to now more about Pierre since we met him in book 1; I love a good redemption story. There is so much more to Pierre then meets the eye. There story is different with Pierre already knowing about Dragons which I liked that fresh dynamic. Bart is the perfect Dragon for this boy, and giving him what he needs gives Bart so much more! Loved it! Sexy, sweet, kinky and I already want to re-read it. I voluntarily reviewed an 'Advance Author’s Copy' of this book.

To finally get the background story on why Pierre was the way he was, not had an easy life and good on him for making sure his sister was looked after and in a good school shows he had some backbone. I liked Bartholomew and Pierre together, some bratty sad moments and kinky moments, in fact their intimate scenes were hot and sexy.

I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book for my honest opinions of which I’m under no obligation to do so. I absolutely recommend this book and can’t wait for the final book.

Great new instalment in the series

I am really enjoying the lonely dragon's club so far. And this one was another great book.

I really disliked Pierre in the first book, but I very quickly warmed to him in this book. He was everything you wouldn't expect when reading the first book. I loved Bartholomew, he was perfect for Pierre and they fit so well together.

It was a very sweet story of love and building trust.

Great book that I really recommend (better enjoyed if you read at least book 1)

This is the 3rd book in the Lonely dragon Club Series. This book is about Bartholomew who of all of his dragon friends is a workaholic. He doesn't have time to find someone for himself. What he doesn't know when he agrees to take Pierre off of his friend that fate has a way to wake you up. Can Pierre see that there is more than meets the eye with Bartholomew or heart. Pierre finally finds the one that he can be open with and he just loves pushing the limit. Cant wait to see what happens next with Desmond. Highly recommend this book and series today

This one surprised me

So I didn't want to read Pierre's story because I figured there was no way I could like it since I didn't like him. Well I did end up liking this story and even liked Pierre too. In the first book, when he interfered in Laszlo and Roman's relationship, it was very easy to dislike him. Getting to know his past and events that led him to is actions made him more likeable. He also didn't use any of those as excuses but apologized still and meant it. I enjoyed the dynamic between him and Bartholomew. Can't wait to read the next book in this series.

This series is one of my favorites because is about the witty adventures of a group of Lonely dragons while getting less lonely after finding their fated mates. Now is the turn of Bartholomew and Pierre and their love story. But this book is not only about love. It is also about guilt, shame, despair, hurt and sadness and how you first need to accept and forgive yourself before being accepted and forgiven. Great interesting plot!!
I received this book as an ARC and this is my honest opinion.

Pierre and Bartholomew

I just left fed Pierre, which surprised me after how horrendously he acted towards Roman. But Pierre was so very vulnerable, defeated in life and spirit. Bartholomew was incredibly bossy, domineering, sweet and gooey all in one package. I like this series, but wish the books were a bit longer.

Man it just gets better!!

It takes a writer with great skill to take a character we have to become one we love and that's what happened with Pierre. That saying about walking a mile in someone shoes really holds true here. I love all the dragons but I had some serious thoughts about Gibb smacking Laszlo lol. Now I can't wait for Desmond's story.

I'm a sucker for dragon shifter books, and this one does not disappoint. I felt the characters emotions throughout the book, and I was pulling for the MC's to get their HEA. This book can definitely be read as a standalone, and I enjoyed it without reading the previous two books in the series. I'm definitely going to read the rest of the books in this series.

Loving this series. This is the third book in the series and best appreciated after reading books 1 and 2 about The Christmas Dragon and the Snow Dragon respectively as the Omega Pierre first appears in the first book so it's best to see where he's coming from to appreciate what happens at the start of the story. I got a fresh perspective on why he did what he did, and he's apologised to the two he hurt with his actions so it's nice to see him find happiness with his own dragon mate. Bartholomew (Tolly to his friends) is an interesting character as he turns from a workaholic into a being who is happy to have found his mate at long last. His dominance is exactly what Pierre needs and he's found his newest and greatest treasure. I'm eagerly anticipating book 4 - The Island Dragon's Mate.
