Lance “Devil” Cummings had put the past behind him for the most part until recently when he watched two of his brothers take the fall, bringing front and center everything he had lost. For his friends, he couldn’t be happier, but for himself - he couldn’t deny he wanted what they found – the one person meant to be his solace. What haunted Devil the most, was that he’d met her, possessed her, and then let her go.

Bailey Tolson left the bad memories behind when she moved from Shades Valley. When she returned to help her mother recuperate there was no time to spend focused on the past, at least until he walked in the door of her mother’s business.

Two people – one past. One with questions – one with the answers. Can wounds from the past be healed in the present to allow for a future? Join the leadership of Black Hawk MC as they work to get comfortable in their new roles. And watch as another one of the men learns that strength doesn’t always come in physical form, it comes from the women who stand beside them.

Carson Mackenzie enjoys writing romance with a real feel inside the stories. She writes with the belief not every man is a jerk and not every woman needs saving.

Carson lives in the South with her son, a Great Dane and two adopted shelter dogs that keep the household in line. Books have always been a part of her life. There is nothing better to her than curling up and relaxing with a good story and losing herself in someone else’s world for a few hours.

Writing stories and growing as an author with each book is her goal. She wants to reach the level where a reader knows when they see her name on a cover, they can trust in the fact there will be a good story as they flip through the pages.

Carson’s journey into writing has only been for a few years. As she’s finally starting to settle in, she can’t believe she waited so long to start.

For an MC book, this was a bit to cutesy for me. While I enjoyed Devil and Bailey's story of rekindling an old love, this was just oh so sweet. The characters are still funny and have great interaction but there was more going on in the three page ending than the entire book. (Jag and the rude red head) I know there was history between Devil and Bailey, so they just sort of picked up where they left off but everything moved super quick after he decided to stop acting like a jackass. I guess I was expecting more from the story. I still enjoy this series and look forward to the next one, here's hoping there's a little more action and a little less cutesy stuff.

Loved it!!!!

Devil and Bailey are the sweetest 2nd chance romance. This is the kind of second chance I love - no cheating - just a really horrible circumstance that pulls them apart for a time that does not involve violence. Great storyline, well developed characters, incredibly smexy NSFW scenes and the cutest HEA with an additional character included. I LOVED it!!!!

Devil didn't disappoint. Another great story from Carson, hope to hear more about Neely and how she getting along with the rest of the Black Hawks and Spider.
I would also love to hear more of Romeo and Claire, and Ghost is very intriguing!
So great that Bay and Deb could revive the love they always had!

This is book three in the series Black Hawk MC and it can be read as a standalone but I recommend reading the series as you will absolutely love all of these guys. Each book contains its own story but to read about these guys in the series and to get the relationship and details of these six guys, it is worth each and every story. This particular book is Devil's story and honestly, to learn the depth of his character is amazing. He is a jokester and easy going guy but you get to learn a lot more about the man and what he has seen and dealt with. Also, we meet Bailey and she has not had an easy road, especially lately with losing her brother and her Mom going through cancer treatments. Devil and Bailey have a history and we get to learn what has torn these two apart and see if they have bridge that gap and find their way back to one another. But fate is not done with Devil as he goes on a road trip for the club and comes back with Neely. Can Bailey not only love Devil but accept Neely?

Devil wanted to come home to Bailey but the secret he carried would destroy her. He just couldn't risk the chance that she could hate him if she found out. So he stayed away, hoping that it would start to hurt less. It never did. Bailey has given up on Devil and the love they once shared. Now he is ready to take a chance and see if love will heal this wound.

After reading about Devil and Bailey, they became my favorite couple in the Black Hawk MC. I love second chance romances and combine it with MC and it is practically kryptonite! These two are guaranteed to make your heart melt like a marshmallow in a campfire. Devil is such a sweet guy, you just can't help yourself from liking him. Bailey was hurt by his actions in the past but she didn't let it turn to hate. So when he makes his move, she is wary but ready to hear him out. This is turning into a very solid series, I can't wait to read Ghost! 6 stars for Devil!

ONE INCREDIBLE READ!!!
Wow! Man, talk things heating up. I love all the books in this series and cannot get enough. Your heart goes out to the main characters witnessing all the trials and tribulations that brings this bad boy roaring to life brilliantly. You feel everything the characters feel. All The humor, laughs, tears, loss, uncertainty and conflict along with one amazing storyline and strong plot brings this together flawlessly. The characters and scenes are written with such realism it really pulls you in deeper than you thought you'd ever go. Remarkable job Carson, thanks for sharing this bad with us.

This is the third book in the Black Hawk MC series. It's a fast-paced and standalone book that will keep you engaged from start to finish. There's action, adventure, drama, danger, suspense, twist/turns, enemies, survival, intrigue, humor, mystery/secrets, surprises, conflict, politics (club), loyalty, confusion, family, friends, trust, truths, fear, anger, healing, strength, loss, uncertainty, forgiveness, happiness, romance, passion/lust and love.
This story is about getting that second chance at love with that someone special from your past. Also, these men aren't perfect by any means but the women they end up loving make them stronger.

Young love has a way of catching up. Devil left Bailey to go into the military. When he gets out, his past and his mind set keep him from her. He is worried she will hate him. When he goes to her bakery, all bets are off. He knows he has to talk to her and sets things right. She never stopped loving him but she thinks she isn’t good enough for him. Can these two out the past to rest for a beautiful future?
This is my favorite so far. A great series.

Devil has struggled with what happened while he was in the military and the choices he has made. Bailey has lost most of the people she loves one way or another. He left her years ago, but now is determined she is his. Will Bailey give him a second chance? Will Devil realize that what happened while overseas wasn't his fault?

I loved the connection these two had. As with all the other Black Hawk MC books, Devil went after what he wanted and wasn't going to let her get away a second time. I loved how Bailey was determined to stay loyal and help those that she loved. Great read!

I am not sure that I even know where to begin writing a review for this because it is truly an awesome experience.

The author did such a great job developing the characters, that I feel like I really know them, and not just the major two characters, but the minor ones too.

I loved everything about it - the characters, the plot, the emotion, the writing, and the ability that the author had to tell me a story that had me wanting this book to go on and on.

There wasn’t anything wrong with the story per say, it just wasn’t really exciting. Devil has stayed away from Bailey because he feels responsible for the death of her brother. At the end of Crusher’s book, he said it was because he killed her brother, which made me think he had been a bad guy. This was far from the case. Bailey is pretty quick to forgive him for basically abandoning her, especially when she needed him the most.

I just can't with these books

This author messed it up for me with book 1 when these guys were doing a train on a skank stripper. That's all I see when reading these guys.
Her mother makes a comment how he turned into a fine man. Please, just weeks ago he was doing a train. And Bailey, grow some balls for once. This man will still do trains because you have no balls to speak up. You need to move on.

Thi was a quick read. The third in the series. Devil has many ghosts from his past that he has to overcome in order to be with the one he loves. Can he overcome the ghosts of his past to be happy? Will Bailey forgive him and make him the happiest man that can be?

He is a bad friend for her, a bad boyfriend and a bad ex boyfriend,
She was right, all she had been through, she didi it alone! She didn’t need him at all,
I don’t like the books I don’t want the HEA for the main couple! I’m a sucker for second chances books but with some self respect and grovel, I didn’t enjoy this one,

Oh

I've enjoyed the first two books, but I've got to say, this was quite disappointing.

No real connection between the two and she was such a door mat to his character.

There could have been so much more when he brought Neely home, but the female lead just rolled over and accepted everything.

Such a disappointment.

Devil was with others but thank goodness our h was as well.
I hate when the h stays celibate but the guys sleep with everything. I prefer they both stay celibate but I guess that's asking too much.
