What happens when the city’s most successful matchmaker fails at securing her own love? Her best friend takes matters into her own hands – even if just for the Christmas holiday! Giselle has always had a knack for bringing two souls together, however, she’s been blind to the needs of her own soul. When her best friend, Ashton, sets her up to finally put her own needs first, Giselle meets an unlikely match in Chaquille.Chaquille has never had a problem pursuing women he was interested in, but lately, the pickings have been slim. His disinterest in women motivates him to go to a speed dating event, though he isn’t expecting to meet anyone worth the effort. By mistake, Giselle sits at his table, and the sparks that go off between them heat Chaquille up in a way that makes him believe it’s the Fourth of July instead of Christmas. Giselle is expecting Chaquille to leave her because of her standards just like every other man she’s encountered, but when he proves that he’s up for the chase, she finds herself wondering if this match was really made in heaven… or just for the holiday.

This wasn’t as Christmasy as I was hoping for, and I tend to prefer first-person narration, but it was still a really cute romance novella.
Despite owning her own matchmaking business, Giselle has yet to find the perfect man for herself. Refusing to settle for less than she deserves, she’s confident in her needs but also admits her loneliness.
Convinced to fraternize with her rival, Giselle agrees to be matched herself, leading to three disastrous, hilarious dates. When hope is almost lost, an unexpected romance is found in Chaquille.
Tending to communicate his love through written words and gestures, I loved the coyness from Chaquille and his readiness to give his heart to someone again.
“But I just ... need to give my heart time to align with my mind and make sure it knows it’s ok to love you.”
Although it’s such few chapters of them on page together, I was still able to feel the chemistry between them. It was such a sweet story with an adorable ending.
you would think i would learn by now that short stories are gonna make me want more .
nope didn’t learn 😂
this story was so cute and just made me want to love love so much.
giselle as a matchmaker herself can find love for everyone else but herself. on date 3 that’s gone wrong she meets chaquille who saves her from that bad date. and from there they learn each others love language and adapt to each other .

I really enjoyed this one it was so sweet and to the point and gave exactly what I was looking for in a Christmas romance. Giselle was a matchmaker who couldn’t seem to find the perfect match for herself. On the verge of spending the holidays alone her best friend sets her up with a rival matchmaker.
The blind dates took me out especially the movie date and his babymama. But one failed date after another lead Giselle right into Chaquille’s arms and the rest was holiday magic. When he told Giselle it was okay if she loved him oh the butterflies that gave me!!! This was my first Christmas read of the month and I was not disappointed. If you’re looking to get in another Christmas read before the month ends you found it. It was heartwarming and will definitely make you laugh.
I almost DNF this story. The writing was terrible. At least IMO. I'm not sure if its because the author wrote the story in third person, but it was so hard to follow. The sentences were just a bit....I don't wanna say mediocre, but... However Chaquille and Giselle were cute. I wanted to like the story, but couldn't get into it cause of the writing. I've previously read stories by this author before and I've enjoyed them. This one was a miss for me
A WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN. I COULDN’T PUT THIS BOOK DOWN. Giselle reminded me of how complacent and comfortable we can be with no joy. Sometimes we are so afraid of love heartbreak until we don’t allow love. This book was a feel good love story. B. Love thanks for still believing In Black Love

"Love Me For Christmas" by B. Love
My Rationalization:
What a 'wonderful Christmas match made in heaven' that was so real for Giselle and Chaquille. We find that for Giselle, who was a dating matchmaker that seemed to be living without any joy in her life, failing to have a love that she so profoundly wanted until she meets Chaquille in an accidental meeting. Chaquille was a widower, definitely suffering from love after a loss of Terry. Now that she was gone, will he be able to move on? I loved how Giselle had to take on a few rotten tomatoes until she was able to find the 'the right match that was made just for her.' I loved the message Chaquille sent to Giselle on Facebook that was 'so sweet and heartfelt.' I will say these two were made for each other and that Chaquille was a keeper.
By the end, the reader gets a sweet love story that is right on the mark for the Christmas holiday.
Short and sweet. Everyone deserves happiness and it was great to see Giselle give it a try when her mind was pretty much made up of her being lonely. Chaquille gave her what she needed and how she needed it at the right time, the way he showed Giselle love was awesome. Great short story
Ok, so Claudette is with the ish, lol! She purposely set Giselle up like that. All the signs lead to her being a bitter bat, and it turned out to be true. I would've thought the third time would be a charm as well, but we see how that revelation came about. Chaquille saved the day though. When he told Scar that he didn't have a date with his wife I hollered. And then, when Chaquille told her, "Don't ruin my view of this masterpiece" I was done. I was like, "Hey now, gah dog it!" Y'all I'm not gon' lie, I was only at the beginning of the book and I was swooning. I mean straight up smiling, giggling, squealing, that real school girl type of reaction. Like for real! Chaquille is very swoon worthy, so hurry up buttercup and read this book. This book hit home for me. Giselle wasn't difficult. She just knew what she wanted and knew herself. With her accidentally meeting Chaquille, God was all in that thang. I felt it in my pinky toe. Heaven was brought to them. This was truly a match made in heaven. The matchmaker got matched baby!
Giselle was a match maker who failed to have a love of her own. At first she claimed it was on purpose until she found a perfect match for her best friend. It took a few rotten tomatoes until she found her match. The story was lovely...
Giselle was a tough cookie. It’s interesting when she finally met someone without looking, per se, her need for control went unnoticed. She was actually intrigued by a man. Throwing caution to the wind and took a chance on someone she wasn’t there to meet. He was a silent warrior who’s aura demanded her attention. When he got it, he knew how to take care of it. Good job!!!
I enjoy this story very much. It just goes to show you that you never know when you meet that special someone. Giselle long to find a love of her own. Chaquille long to find love also. There's much more to the story but I don't want to give anything away it really is a nice read.
I fall in love with every single book I read of B Love’s. The characters cling to my soul. Every word spoken & emotion shared on these pages captivate me. I’m sooo in love with everything! Wonderful job yet again!
SIX STARS, PERRRRRRRRRIOD I loved it and the pace was fine for me. Love these days, is not the same as when our parents and grandparents date. It happens when it is supposed to slow or fast. So this story in my opinion was cute unique and one of my favorites by B. I loved the relationship with her best friend as well. This story was well crafted.
I love it when authors go outside their usual genres. The results are often amazing. Genie’s heart, lead! Nairobi’s strength...swooning! I would love to see more stories like this from you B. Love
Loved this short and sweet Christmas novella! Chaquille lost his hearing impaired wife, Terry, to illness 3 years ago. So when he arrived at the Speed Dating event, his brother sent him to, he just couldn't go through with it. What happens next is mind blowing! A beautiful woman ducks down in a chair at his table, trying to avoid HER blind date. Giselle and Chaquille have dinner, get to know one another and discover they have a lot in common. He calls her Queen and I love that! Because Chaquille communicated without words, with Terry, he is somewhat taciturn. So Giselle takes him to a "Silent Party" demonstrating that what is important to him is also important to her. I loved learning what a "Silent Party" entails. Amazing story!!!
I originally thought Giselle was gonna be a handful, but she just wanted to be in love with her soulmate. Bumping into Chaquille was the best thing to happen to both of them! Giselle was a really good person to convince Claudette to take some time off and let her help her find love after the way Claudette tried sabotaging her. She's truly a sweetheart. Excellent novel, B!
Omg this book made my heart swell and want to believe in love. I love how you can make me feel what they are feeling and how it flows so well that you just pull every emotion out of a person great job Queen!
A great read that is well written with a steady flow. Interesting characters that are likeable and loveable. Cute storyline with love, laughs and happiness.
I loved these characters, I am glad that she found that love that she helped everyone else find. Chaquille was everything! That confidence in his quiteness was great. Always a win with Love!
I enjoyed reading this book so much! I couldn't put my kindle down! I enjoyed the couple's journey to find love! I enjoyed the storyline and the chemistry between the couple! Such a fantastic book!
Chaquille is a woman's dream! So, kind, affectionate and caring. Giselle, was a master at finding love for others, but was lonely. Their meeting was magical! They both were quirky, with baggage, but the chemistry was fire! It was so sweet how Giselle appealed to him, and his love language to break the ice. One of the sweetest stories to date! Bravo! 👍👍👍
Awww man after failed relationship after relationship she finally got it right Giselle was a successful matchmaker in other people's lives but hers not so much. One night when she was supposed to be going on a date with someone else she met Chaquille he was so charismatic but he was also dealing with heartbreak his wife died 3 years earlier. Giselle and Chaquille were a match made in heaven they complemented each other .
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this novella. I especially liked the pace. The Author promised fast pace and she delivered quite effectively whilst still including the right amount of details. Good read
I enjoyed this Christmas novella. Both Chaquille and Giselle were clearly ready for love for Christmas and found their match made in heaven. Some people believe that love can happen at first sight when souls connect and this book refects that in a real way. So that being said, to them that believe, this book is for you!
This was a good read. It was different and i loved that fact. This was about true love at first sight. No drug dealer gang banger just hard working people who fell in love. Great job
