Lyla Dupree is sweet and bubbly the perfect opposite to Raleigh Jacobs who is grouchy and stoic. But there is much more to this temporary New York City transplant, so much more, and Lyla is the perfect person to peal back his layers.

Sweet on You is number thirteen in the 425 Madison series, but it works perfectly fine as a standalone novel. Some of the characters that appear in this one you’ve already got to meet in prior books, but it is not enough to take away from this story.

In truth, I had a bit of a debate when deciding upon my rating for this one. It’s a two-point-five-star rating, and I could not decide if I wanted to round up or down. For a while, I thought it would be up. In the end, I went with down as I had expec

This is the first book I've read by this author and the second book I've read In the the 425 Madison book series.

I was hooked from the beginning and I absolutely loved it and I will be highly recommending this book when it gets released.

Lyla is a really sweet, very bubbly, fun loving woman who likes to bake in New York city. She gets very rambly with her words when she's over enthusiastic and just really cares. When a sexy bearded man moves in next door she's determined to show him that you can e

Sweet on You is Book 13 in the 425 Madison series and the first book I have read by this author. These stories all stand perfectly fine on their own so no worries for anyone who has not had a chance to read them all.

This story had the potential to be an amazing 5-star story had it been longer and more in-depth but I felt it was missing some context, especially with regard to Raleigh's behavior. While I adored Lyla and even Raleigh's precious son, I cannot say I ever really warmed up to Raleigh.
This is a recipe for romance, a tasty treat with everything from chocolate croissants to delectable coffees and a sweet child involved. It is alarming at times - but only because the alarm keeps sounding and heads to hot, not only in the kitchen. Lyla Dupree is a patisserie owner and chef with a sweet personality. Raleigh Jacobs really does need sweetening up! He's grumpy, unhappy at having to work in New York and really not at all sympathetic to Lyla's fire alarm going off all the time, despite ...more

The 425 Madison series has been a favorite of mine since it started last year. Having read almost every one of the books in the series, I was extremely happy to get Sweet on You by K.C. Enders, one of my go-to authors. Wonderful writing with fabulous characters and a sweet storyline gives you a book that will be hard to put down.
Lyla Dupree is a woman that I would want as a friend. Not just because she can bake up a delicious pastry and owns a coffee shop, but because the woman is full of pluck

I love this series and the 425 world. Each book is full of characters to love and root for!

Sweet on You is no different...I love Lyla and Raleigh, and almost immediately knew they were gonna be some of my favorites! A hunky mountain man in the big city...annoyed by none other than a fabulous pastry chef neighbor?! Does it get better??

The only reason I couldn't give it the full 5 stars is because I just wanted more. More story, more detail, more blanks filled in. I just didn't feel satisfied I go

I really loved this latest release by KC Enders. Sweet on you brings you the story of Raleigh and Lyla. 2 mountain transplants trying to see what big New York has to offer.
I really loved Lyla’s quirkinesses and loved that Sam is so outspoken. Raleigh is just that type of rugged man you can get wrapped up in.
This sweet story has all the right things..a lot of laughter, good amount of snark, a pinch of the drama, 1 super cute kid..mix it all together and you get all the sweet! I loved this book!

Sugar and spice and everything nice is about to meet the Grinch that stole Christmas. Raleigh and Lyla are a sweet serenade. Enders gives predictable an irresistible twist. With a sense of humor and an open heart, Sweet on You, makes for an addictive temptation.

4.5 stars really.

Like all the other books that I’ve read in this series, it was a very sweet and simple story. While the characters did have their own back story issues, they are part of the story but in a way that doesn’t bog it down. I had trouble putting this story down when I picked it up, because it just kept me reading and turning pages to see how it would go. It was pretty much what I expected for this series, but I would say it is one of my favorites so far. I also enjoyed as usual the c

This installment by KC Enders is about sweet and happy pastry chef Lyla who meets a grumpy and moody temporary neighbor named Raleigh. Lyla moved to New York from Denver and opened her own pastry shop. Raleigh has arrived in New York from Denver for a temporary work assignment and makes it known to everyone how miserable he is being in New York City. Somehow, I guess mostly due to Lyla’s persistence, the two slowly form a friendship, which leads to a little bit more. But at the end of the day, a ...more

This was a cute, quick read. Raleigh is in NYC temporarily for work, subletting an apartment in 425 Madison for his stay. Next door is Lyla, a pastry chef with a malfunctioning smoke alarm. Tired of watching Raleigh be constantly in a bad mood and either working or in the apartment, Lyla decides to befriend him and get him out of the building. They eventually give in to their mutual attraction, even knowing Raleigh is only there for a short time.

I loved the scenes with Matty. Raleigh as a dad w

I discovered K C Enders last year so I was super excited to see her join in on the 425 Madison series. This book definitely was a winner for me. I love when food is involved in my fiction. So Lyla is definitely a winner in my book for favorite heroines, especially as her apartment smoke alarm doesn't seem to like her even though her treats are spectacular.

That's how she meets Raleigh. Raleigh is a single dad. I kinda love this trope all of a sudden. He's a grump. Both are bad at relationships b

I loved this next installment in the 425 Madison series and all though each book is a stand alone previous characters do appear. This book is about Raleigh who has to come to New York City to rescue a job that his company is doing. He is subletting an apartment at 425 Madison and his first introduction to Lyla is by shutting off the smoke alarm in her apartment. It seems that whenever Lyla bakes something her smoke alarm decides to go off even if there is no smoke. Raleigh soon learns that Lyla ...more

A thoroughly sweet, funny and entertaining read. I was laughing from the first page! This is the first book I've read by K.C. Enders and enjoyed it very much. Her writing is refreshing, descriptive and her characters are well developed.

Lyla and Raleigh are complete opposites. She's a bubbly and chatty sweetheart. He's a gruff and grumpy nontalking hunk. Lyla is a baker who owns a pastry shop and enjoys trying out new recipes in her apartment. Unfortunately, Lyla has a sensitive smoke alarm that

For once, my feelings on a book are not complicated or messy…they just are. I love this installment of the 425 Madison series and I thought the title was perfect because this was one sweet read.
Lyla was AMAZING. She was the perfect heroine, fun and bubbly and sweet and completely unstoppable. I didn’t love how much her mother’s opinion meant to her but that’s a personal preference and it wasn’t over the top so it was easy to deal with. Another great addition to this series. This is the first book I have read from KC and it was a great book. Lyla and Raleigh live in the same building. She is bubbly and outgoing and runs her own bakery. He is there on business and is grumpy, unhappy and out of his element in New York. It also doesn't help that her fire alarm keeps going off all the time , despite everyone trying to stop it. But when he gets a taste of her yummy croissants and delicious coffee they get to talking.

Raleigh comes to New York from Denver to do a job, where he meets Lyla - a local baker who runs her own shop; the attraction is instantaneous - but he fights it, as he's been there. Raleigh has the ex-wife from hell, but the apple of his eye, is his son, Matty.

Through a series of saves from the 'smoke detector', Lyla melts through the ice around Raleigh's heart and they have a series of dates - there is a strong attraction and possessiveness.

Matty comes to New York, and the three of them have a

I loved this book but at the beginning I was quite annoyed with Raleigh!! I really disliked him at the beginning and I was so sure I wouldn’t enjoy the rest. But as I got to know him and why he was a grumpy grouch I started to accept him.

Lyla was the rockstar of this book! She is quirky and rambles. The way I picture her in my head is she’s this cute short blonde with waves in her hair and chocolate on her face! She really makes this book what it truly is and that’s swoon worthy! She makes you s

I enjoyed this new entry in this wonderful series. I thought the story was fun and it offered a great blend of emotional turmoil, drama, humor, heat and heart. I really liked Lyla. As someone else that loves to bake, has her own fire alarm issues and has more than a few regrets and mistakes that haunt me; I could really relate to, feel for and connect with her very easily. That leads me to my one issue with this book...Raleigh. I wanted to like him. I tried so hard to like him. However, aside fr ...more

I know you have to be tired of my bragging on the greatness of this series but I only give credit where it's due and the 425 Madison novels are tired with another series for me.

This beautiful work of art brings us Raleigh and Lyla. Raleigh was there for work and Lyla ....well without spoilers say came for the wrong reason but stayed for great reasons.

Raleigh was going through some personal issues that caused him to grab on this out of state project his company was responsible for. Whereas Lyla

Layla owns her own bakery and has one small little problem with her apartment which is the fire alarm which chooses to go off at will. She is friendly, sweet, sassy and repays the others in the building with sweets, so the staff and tenants just accept it or at least everyone does except for her neighbor Raleigh who is not impressed.

Raleigh is recently divorced and has no interest in being in NY or leaving his son, so this temporary work assignment is not what he wants, and he is taking it out o

But KC Enders is not a new author and I loved her previous work so I was really excited to know she was part of this series. She never disappoints and this was a sweet book. KC Enders latest release is set in the universe of 425 Madison Avenue, a collection of stories tied together by an apartment tower in New York City. I received an ARC of the story, in exchange for my comments and a review. I have to say that I feel a bit conflicted about how to approach this - I am a fan of Karin's work and I consider her a friend. However, the quality of the editing in the ARC was...disappointing.

The story is very appropriately named; it's a short, sweet story that just tugs at

Loved this book!

Raleigh isnt happy about having to come to NYC to take care of business leaving behind his son and the fresh air of Denver. Subletting an apartment for a couple months that he’ll be there his introduction to his place is a fire alarm blaring from the apartment next door.

More than anything, this story was FUN! I love a romance that doesn't take itself too seriously and this one had just enough angst to move the plot along but it had me smiling (or laughing out loud) through most of it. "Sweet on You" hosts a great cast of characters, including a bubbly, pastry chef and a sweet but grumpy single dad who would rather be anywhere but New York City. One of my yardsticks of a good writer is how they write children (because they are so hard to get right). K.C. Enders ...more
