This is a 3.5 star read.

A really solid body of work from an author that is new to me. An anthology of the chilling, paranoiac and weird, I loved how some of the short stories were long enough to break into chapters. A collection of tales that would not look out of place on TV series The Twilight Zone and Creepshow.

Not my cup of tea at all, I liked a couple of the stories but it was all too creature feature for me. I know this is an independent author but fuck you could have splurged on an editor, so many spelling, grammar and formatting mistakes it was ridiculous.

Scary Stories with B.B Halloween Edition @scarystorieswithbb
3.5/5 ⭐⭐⭐💫
🔅Want to know why I'm crawling on the ceiling....😂 Read the book!
🔅This book has different chapters of scary stories and they are scary. That's the good part. They still make you wonder and gasp.
🔅Downfall is they are a lot of your typical stories. To me it was like watching tv shows or reading peices of books that are similar. A lot of zombie (which reminds me of the walking dead) and government conspiracies. This is a great book if you want some simple stories to read during that Halloween season.
🔅I will say there is a mermaid story that made me want to crap my pants💩

Can’t you hear the music of twilight zone? You will when you begin to read these stories just the right amount of scary to make it a little hard to sleep at night! Each story has its own unique form of dementia, just a little over the edge, not enough to be full blown horror but just that form of one step too many. Boris Bacic is able to delve deeply into his characters persona without overdoing one thing or another. I can’t wait to for his next novel! I gave this honest, voluntary review after being given a free copy of the novel.

4.2 stars for Scary Stories...Lots of Halloween fun similar to watching Twilight Zone or Outer Limits

Enjoyed reading the variety of stories in this volume. Lots of zombies type stories in the beginning but
different types as you go along. Thanx for the fun! Enjoy!!

Emergency Broadcast
Infected City
The Depression Project
The Ocean Should Remain Unexplored
Locked Door
Something Terrible Came with the Rain
Mirrorverse
Nightguard
10 Years ago I Survived a Plane Crash
Radio Tower

This anthology packed with horror variations.
I like it, i could feel the dread and adrenaline while reading this.

Emergency broadcast and Infected city are from same zombie apocalypse, although one from a civilian perspective and the other from a military personnel.
The Depression Project : a private project gone wrong.
The Ocean Should Remain Unexplored: search and rescue crews meet underwater monster.
Locked Door: apartment with haunting apparition. Creepy.
Something Terrible Came with the Rain: start as an apocalypse, ended up as semi-paranormal.
Mirrorverse: this is very Twilight Zone-y, especially the ending.
Nightguard: i feel it like a video game, is good but it just irk me how he trapped and uninformed.
10 Years ago I Survived a Plane Crash: another monster story. This is remind me of a movie, Descendant.
Radio Tower: It probably linked with The Depression Project. A bit like Stepford Wives. The ending quite simple.

All stories are good, although the plane crash one really fleshed out, the apartment one give me adrenaline rush, and i like the unique monster in the ocean one.

A short story anthology of delicious nuggets of horror, well written, fast paced, creepy, dark and so original.

An infection that runs rampant
An experiment in sound
A deep sea rescue
A sealed cupboard in an apartment
The rain makes things worse
The man in the mirror
The Nightguard
The plane crash survivor
A small town story

Thoroughly enjoyed these stories and two are full length novels so I will be checking them out.

I received this as a free/promotional book from Book Funnel. It was not bad, but there were many, many errors...capitalization, spelling, grammar, etc. The stories were pretty good, though. If you're looking for easy to read scary stories, you may want to check it out.

First off lots of errors almost like no one proofread the book.

Lock your doors and windows and turn on all the lights. If you like scary this book is for you.
Different stories to keep you glued to your seat.

Four stars for the stories. Needs an editor though. Difficult to get through the formatting and phrasing.

A collection of the weird, scary and horrific. My favourite story is The Locked Door. Plenty of twists and turns. Not a bad story in the collection and its only a couple hours long.

Stories are mostly good. But, was there an editor or proofreader involved?

A very entertaining collection of short horror stories. Deadly viruses, zombies, monsters and mind control. Something for everyone. Well worth reading.
