This Review is for Amelia Hutchin’s Darkest King!
Well she up and did it again didn’t she. Here we see the makings of yet another amazing series to get lost in. Elianna is everything you could want from a badass b$tch who at first comes across as meek, mild and a victim of circumstance. However, by the end you are cheering her on and fist pumping the air in triumph. This discarded nobody is far from a victim and more of a master strategist.

NOTE - I ONLY READ KISS OF ETERNITY BY S. YOUNG
5 stars
This is a short story that follows on from the phenomenal Kiss of Vengeance, and leads into the next book in the Immortal Fate series, Bound by Forever.
It’s written from the POVs of Fionn and Rose as they search for immortal vampire, Kiyo, to ask for his help in protecting fae-in-danger, Niamh. Kiyo and Niamh are the main characters of Bound by Forever, so it’s a great introduction to their story – particularly to Kiyo as a character.

I do not typically read Anthologies, preferring to read longer stories, however I thoroughly enjoyed reading this one. Each author has written a short, succinct story that gives us a snapshot into the life of the characters and worlds they have created. While many of these stories are part, or will be part, of a larger story line, there are some that are a standalone, full short story. The authors have clearly stated if these stories are part of an existing story-line or will be developed into a

Great start to a new series from Amelia Hutchins. I had some Fighting Destiny vibes from this short story. It was over far too quickly for my liking!

A Disappointing Anthology
I am a person who normally loves collections, anthologies, compilations, or whatever the group of authors putting them together chooses to call their bundle of stories. This week, unfortunately, I read not just one but two anthologies that disappointed me. This is one of them.
I am new to most, if not all, of these authors. That's a reason why I enjoy anthologies; I hope to be introduced to a new author or two whose books I will love. However, this book has one story tha ...more

My review is over The Darkest King from Amelia Hutchins.
And just like that a new world has been introduced! Sizzling new characters burn up the pages! Eli and Dominick are an assassin team that fall into what appears to be a trap... but you know Hutchins has tons of curve balls to throw at ya. Once again a great collection of stories by fantastic authors, some new to me, some I love and are (slightly) obsessed with. Well done everyone, you should all be very proud of the stories you’ve all created.
The Willow Trail - May Sage 4⭐️
New to me author. I love reading the Midnight Coven series books as it introduces me to new authors.

Review for each story: (I’ll update as I get each one read)
2nd story in the book: 5 stars *****
Darkest King by Amelia Hutchins (I read this story first because I bought this book for her story) I LOVED this story and can not wait for the continuation! This is a NON-SPOILER REVIEW. Tempted By Fae is a multi-author Anthology presented by the Midnight Coven. If you haven't read any of the Midnight Coven anthologies, you have been missing out. I specifically picked this up to read works by two of the authors, but I found myself devouring all the stories in the anthology. This review is for Her Fae Warrior by Ariel Marie. I really enjoyed this read. Ariel Marie always gives us strong heroines, fearless heroes, heart pounding action and steamy relat

I’m not quite through this anthology yet, but I wanted to share my thoughts. This is a refreshingly varied anthology, with a vast range of writing styles and types of stories, and that makes it perfect for the current world situation – you can dip in and snack, or you can sit down and feast on the stories. I’m a Patricia D. Eddy fan, but the other authors were new to me, and, logically, I started with Patricia’s “Crowned Torment,” a follow-up to Twisted Captive, a book I loved when it was releas

I was thrilled to get a copy of this ARC, especially when I learned that Patricia Eddy's included novella would be a follow-up to her recent novel, Twisted Captive. My initial review is for her novella alone, with an update below after having read the anthology.

This anthology was largely written and edited cleanly, with few typos for most of the stories in this anthology, in the ARC version. The highlight of this anthology was the story by Marina Simcoe. That one was absolutely lovely! Some of the other stories were also enjoyable, but I gave this anthology three stars because at least half of the stories in it were ended on a cliffhanger or were a short slice of life story from a previous novel which I had not read. I really enjoyed this anthology a l

Like others who had this on pre-order, I had to purchase after the release thanks to a snafu within the Amazon system.
I started out by sampling around the stories. Of course, I headed for Patricia Eddy's first, but then I read the others too. And in this case, with this anthology, you won't have much to worry about. I think all the stories rank up there as being very well written.

I think I love anthologies. At least, I love them more now than I did a few years back. And Tempted by Fae was a great one. A lot of the authors I had never even heard about (which is definitely a shame) so it was good to discover their writing style and the kind of stories they go for, some of whom I really hope to read more of their stories. Like usual, there were great, good, and a little less than good stories but that was totally fine with me! I got what I wanted out of this anthology: Fae.

I’m not usually fan of short stories but I thought I would give this a wee go as I’m thoroughly enjoying the True Immortal books by S Young. I also love Amelia Hutchens Fae books so thought why not.
I would say I would give those 2 lovely ladies short story’s full 5/5 which I had no doubt about. It has just made me thirsty for more from them.
The others were completely new to me but I thought this would be a good way to see other authors works.

I think Anthologies are a great way of getting a taster of an author or genre, even if you prefer to read longer stories I am sure you will enjoy reading this collection. Every story is short and succinct and gives us a glimpse into the life of the characters and worlds each author has created.

This book is a collection of twelve paranormal Fae romances, and while I only had a chance to read one of the stories so far, I really enjoyed this book. Crowned Torment by Patricia D. Eddy, follows Adrian and Kat. When Kat finds herself searching for an artifact for her arrogant boss, the artifact attaches itself to her and magically transports her to a different Realm, where she finds herself in the arms of Adrian, the son of the former king. Unbeknownst to her, the artifact begins to poison h

So, I gotta be honest, I only read one story out of this anthology. Anthologies are a bit hard for me because they are so short and I usually can't connect with the story or characters in a short amount of pages. Plus I've never read any of the other authors before, which would be a great way to start with this compilation, but usually I end up rating the whole collection lower because of my frustrations.

This is a good collection of twelve magical paranormal romances. The collection features some of my favorites writers in this genre but also some new authors I was happy to be introduced to. The stories are all fairly quick reads that feature some wonderful characters and enjoyable plots. All of the stories vary on plots that are captivating and intriguing. The one thing I did not like is that some of these ended in cliffhangers or had me confused at the beginning. This is a good collection but

I have only read a few fae romance books and I am becoming a huge fan of them, so when I read this anthology I was beyond excited because what is interesting about fae stories is that each one is unique. This anthology is full of great short stories that I found exciting, steamy, and fun to read. Each one brings it own uniqueness to the fae world and each author has their own take of what the fae, their worlds, and different creatures should be like. Each story has a little bit everything for ev

So if you like to read about the fae like me, there is definitely a story for you in this too.

Most stories are full short stories and two had an open ending (not my thing, because I want to know what is going to happen next)

“As if Fionn could feel Rose’s mounting impatience, he suddenly let go of an almighty roar, pulled back his knee toward his chest, and then punched it out, foot planted on Kiyo’s gut.
The wolf soared into the crowd, taking down a few supes with him like bowling pins.
Silence fell across the warehouse.
Rose felt more than a tingle of heat between her thighs as Fionn cut her a dark, satisfied look. His nostrils flared at her expression. He knew all of Rose’s looks, just as she knew all his.
She shivered.
