I wasn't sure what to expect when I started this, but as soon as I started, I knew I was in for a treat, and as predicted, I loved it! This doesn't read as a debut, and I'm so excited to see more of Cait Marie's work in the future! I really enjoyed the characters, and there was a nice balance between the two POVs (Ada's and Shane, her brother's) and I really liked how the story and plot unfolds!

Ok. I was hooked. From first page to last I couldn't put it down.

I was given a Advanced Reader copy in exchange for a honest review, but I also preordered it.

The characters felt so real. The setting was clear. The level of description was absolutely perfect. I highly recommend this for everyone.

This book was, ., Ive just finished it a few minutes ago and Im speechless. The Lost Legends ruined me, broke me, made me laugh, cry well it did so much with me. It was a real rollercoaster of emotions. I swear! I was hooked from the very first chapter. That writing style. Everything was just so fluent, easy to understand, simple and the worldbuilding was beautiful. I

Gah, THIS BOOK! How do I talk about this book.

I wasn't sure what I expected going it but it supposed every hope I had for this story. It's a book that is ACTUALLY as good as it sounds. Rare, huh?

Ada and Shane are the children of the king. Their mother died many years ago but not before instilling a belief in Ada about the mythical immortal warriors, the Nihryst. When she stumbles upon nefarious plans in her own palace, she knows she has to get help to keep the kingdoms from descending into

This is going to end horribly. Oh, absolutely.

I was really happy to have received an eArc of The Lost Legends by author Cait Marie. Cait is a member of my online book club TBR & Beyond and I was glad I could support her by reading and reviewing her book.

The Lost Legends is a reimagining of Robin Hood meets Pirates of the Caribbean and an unexpected dash of Tangled. Now that is a recipe for success. Many years ago Loxley and his merry gang known as the Nihryst have been banished to a faraway

Fairy tales are steeped in folklore. We all know there are elements of truth behind such tales, no matter how small that truth is. We sit and imagine we are the princess need saving. Or, at least, their best friend that can reap a few benefits.  We dream on going on a grand adventure like one of our favorite fairy tale characters.

Princess Adalina got such a chance. She didnt need saving, oh no. She took it upon herself to do

This book! Wow! This was the fastest read Ive done in a long, long time. I just couldnt put it down! I practically devoured it.

The Lost Legends is a YA Tangled X Robin Hood retelling, written in the third person through multiple POVs. The narrative gives little description, leaving a lot up to the imagination of the reader. More of a focus is put on character development and plot.

The characters were very

I'm just going to start with that when I finished this book I was 18 levels of miffed because I didn't have the sequel to pick up right after I finished the last page. This story sucks you right in and you never want to leave. The characterization is done so phenomenally that you feel like you know these people and you feel their hurts and their happiness. The writing is so well done and the story never dulls. You are flipping

I was lucky enough to get an Advanced Arc for an honest review:

I loved this book by Author Cait Marie. I love books that are driven by the characters in the stories and I have to tell you this debut novel by Author Cait Marie did just that. From the moment I began the book, I could not put it down. Each of the characters are essential in the story. Immediately I connected with the one of her main characters Princess Adalina. This debut novel has it all and the storyline is amazing. I was so

WHOA! Just, whoa...

So, for a debut book, this thing is phenomenal (and Im not just saying that because the author is my emotional support Hufflepuff and Im slightly biased). Im in the comedown period from The Cruel Prince and the Grishaverse books, and this is comparable in quality.

I read it so fast. Like, could not put it down. It took me like 8 hours, and that was with taking care of kids and periodically working on a research paper.

It is well written, the character development is superb, and

This was a phenomenal read that was enough to keep me going until I had finished it in one day. The author does a great job of explaining and helping you visualize their world. You can close your eyes and really see what each character is going through as well as what they are seeing in the world.
I enjoyed the plot and am eager to see where the next book will take us.

Favorite book of 2020 so far!

I absolutely adored this book! Cait Marie wrote such a wonderful and addicting story that kept me turning page after page. I couldn't get enough of it!

The world and details were very easy to imagine, the characters were entertaining and fun to read, especially Ada and Lee. I really enjoyed the banter between the two. Every scene with them was my favorite.

I think this is an incredible debut and an amazing start to a series I'm already obsessed with and can't wait to

It took me a little bit to get into it at first because the thought it started out slow and I wasnt interested in the characters very much. But once Ada and Phillip found out what the king had planned and Ada went on her journey to find the Nihryst I was hooked and finally felt something for the characters. The loved the back and forth of Ada and Lee and I cant wait to see whats coming next for Shane, Ada, Phillip, the Nihryst, the

O.M.G. I freaking adored this book!!!! I seriously read it in one sitting, staying up until 4am to finish it. I could not put it down.

The characters are wonderfully written, and the storyline was well told. Super fun read, and it kept me wanting to know what happened next. My only complaint is that I have to wait sooo long for the next one. :(

Read this. You will enjoy it!

I was given an Arc for my honest review.

I love this book. I am obsessed with pretty much anything pirates and fairytale related so a book about a girl finding a group of legendary warriors because of a story she loved when she was a kid ? I was here for it. The book immediately grabs your attention by opening with the legend of Nhyrlist. It keeps your attention until the very last page. I think it also has a little something for everyone. Theres romance, adventure ,betrayal, friendship and once

I was highly surprised by The Lost Legends. Knowing that this was the authors debut novel, I knew I would most likely enjoy it. However, I had no idea I would be this blown away by it. I am on edge waiting to see where the story goes from here when the sequel releases. I think this novel is enjoyable for anyone of any age but it is perfect for a young adult who loves fantasy, princess, or pirate stories. Half

Yall, I have found a new favorite! The Lost Legends by Cait Marie is the first book in her series The Nihryst. I read it in one-sitting, skipping sleep to do so. When I talk about fantasy being my favorite, Im talking about the epic adventure fantasies that take you on a journey and leave you hopeful. There is a little romance (or in some cases a lot of romance) involved with

As a reader who enjoys plot-driven books, this plot immediately had me hooked. A plague, a prophecy, a curse, action, pirates, romance, and duty all come together beautifully to make this the kind of book that I couldnt put down and read in a single day, the kind of series where I cant wait for the next book to be released, and a book that completely captured my heart.
