From the moment I saw her I was done. She seared her soul to mine and there was no going back. I prided myself in knowing everything about everyone. But me, I ignored the truth that was staring me in the face and burned everything I had. I promised to protect my family and along the way I got lost of what matters. Lost myself in the guilt of our pasts and mistakes. I took it all on as my responsibility and drowned in it. It has cost me everything, including the woman who haunts me. I pushed her away out of pride and dominance. One glance at her, one taste, and my fate was sealed. Now it‘s my turn to submit and get her back. Sometimes we have to suffocate in order to breathe again.
Battle Born MC Reading Order Prequel: Twisted Fate Book 1: Betting on Forever Book 2: Nothing Lasts Forever Book 3: Living for Forever Book 4: Always & Forever Book 5: Escaping From Forever Book 6: Fighting for Forever Book 7: Loving You Forever Book 8: Claiming His Forever
Claiming his Forever by Scarlett Black will have your emotions all over the place as we finally get a better insight into this stormy relationship between Spider and Jazz's story, one that is filled with pain, angst, passion and emotion between these two characters as both of them will have to grow before they can be together. Spider is the Sgt. at Arms of the RBMC Reno Chapter who is this hard, edgy sexy biker who is fighting demons from his past which has him making all the wrong decisions as the pain and guilt from Solo's death haunts him everyday. The one person he is attracted to is Jazz, every time Spider and Jazz see each other the only thing that is between them is raw angry passion and desire, but Spider pushes Jazz away and tells her to leave as he feels he is being used by her to get her ex jealous. The interaction every time these two are together is explosive but due to lack of communication will be the cause of these two not being able to have a relationship.
Jazz is this independent sexy, passionate woman with connections to both chapters of the RBMC who has always wanted Spider but doesn't express her true feelings for him when he turns her away. With all of her feistiness she can't get rid of Kilo who she has a stormy relationship with who also happens to be a member of the RMBC Sacramento Chapter led by her Uncle Fuego. Kilo will not leave Jazz alone and when she breaks things off with him, he becomes violent and threatens her. In order to feel safe as she is trying to establish her Tattoo business, she asks her cousin Snake to keep Kilo away from her. With all of the feelings she has for Spider, her stubborn pride will not allow her to reach out to him and get to the cause of their problems. Once again Jazz and Spider will be together but pulled apart by a misunderstanding as Jazz's plan to keep Kilo away from her will backfire. Spider lashes out at Jazz with no explanation when he feels he is being used by her. Jazz returns home hurt and angry, but things take a turn when Jazz discovers a life changing event for her, will she tell Spider the truth or will Spider be led to think she is with Kilo? With one angry phone call Spider will kill any chance of them being together as he has finally crushed Jazz. Now Kilo has his own plans put into play for Jazz as he beats her and leaves her brokenhearted as she has to endure a great loss.
The more time Spider is away from Jazz he is miserable and angry to all around him as she is never out of his mind or heart. Spider now has one lesson to learn from his brothers that you aren't born until you are Battle Born. When Spider is told that Jazz was injured, he will do all he can to get her back and requests to be transferred to the Sacramento Chapter. Can he convince Jazz he is sorry for all of the hurt he caused her? Will she believe Spider when he tells her he loves her and wants her in his life? Jazz's Abuela has a lot to do with bringing these two together as well as her Uncle Fuego, Pres of RBMC chapter and her cousin Snake. Once Spider learns the true facts about what happened to her and the loss she has experienced which will effect him also, he will do all he can to help Jazz heal. Through love and forgiveness can these two broken people finally get the happiness they deserve? Spider is outraged and on the path to destroy Kilo who took everything away from them with the help from Snake they are determined to get the revenge they seek as well as learning the true nature of Kilo's plans. Loved the interaction between Kat, Jenna and the other brothers from the Reno RBMC charter who play a big part in this story as they guide these two together. This was an intense, raw gritty love story between Spider and Jazz as these two soulmates will go through hell, but the love they have for each other is never ending as we find Spider Claiming his Forever. Once again Scarlett Black takes her readers on one hell of a roller coaster ride with these intense men of the Battle Born MC and the strong women who stand beside them. Can't wait for the next adventure!
Scarlett definitely has a gift. This series drew me in and I couldn't stop until I binge read every book. I've literally laughed and cried with these characters. There aren't many authors that I can say made that happen but Scarlett Black never disappoints! Highly talented and l definitely recommend this series and author!
Awful his attitude! Please, can someone understand than sex don’t solve all? No enough grovel, horrible H that justifies his actions because he has suffered so much! What a child...

Some good parts. Starts out with a spicy sex scene. Spider is cold, dominant and drawn to Jazz, and Jazz equally. But Jazz is trying to leave a dangerous MC Kilo who wants her and won’t give her up even if he plays around. Spider receives a call and listens to voice message of what he believes is Jaz trying to make up with Kilo and in retaliation, he has sex with the other woman out of revenge and calls Jazz while he’s doing it. All this happens within a MC setting, Spider’s guilt ridden and painful past, particularly over his deceased brother. Meanwhile their accidental pregnancy and miscarriage caused by Kilo.
All the elements of a great story but the connections, the feeling weren’t there. It read like a fast burn at a medium pace, yet it wasn’t fully developed while at the same time, it was slow moving. Added to the complexity were lots of characters to keep up with and presupposed rapports likely mentioned and introduced in prior stories. I suppose I was to rely on character development from previous stories.
Essentially I just lost interest at some point. It was artificially slow to unfold with a lot on inner thinking. The elements were there for a better story, it just needed trimming and character connections. I mean, Jazz fell in love after one sexcapade, are we were supposed to believe it and feel it? Also, why did it have to take so long for Jazz to tell Spider about the baby and miscarriage, and then she still didn’t tell him who caused it, at the time? At 50% no less.
I simply lost interest. I liked the other person drama, the accidental baby, the two spicy scenes, the personalities of the main characters. There were just execution flaws that made the story slow. DNF

I'm going to miss this series. There's only one novella left and the author wrote one book towards the Reno chapter. I hope she continues.
This is Spider's and Jazz's book. We know in other books they were seen arguing but didn't know what about. Seems they had a one night stand and neither knew what the feelings they felt were about. Took them a good year to get their heads on straight to at least be around each other. One of the biggest problems was her ex boyfriend. He was part of the club and she was a club princess. Kilo was an abusive jerk and into more than anyone knew but Spider figured it out.
Spider spun his web and now Jazz is caught.... now what are they going to do about it.
A great series with all the naughty bits so definitely for adults only.
Spiders book is hands down the best in the series to date. Scarlett absolutely poured her heart into this book and you can feel it with every chapter. Some scenes were so heart wrenching, I could practically feel Spider and Jazzs pain radiating off the pages. Just as in all her books though Scarlett brought out more than just the pain, she brought the laughter and suspense. Spider and Jazz are explosive and from the very first page they have you on the edge of your seat fighting for them. There were many things I didn’t see coming in this book and I can’t wait to see what else Scarlett has in store.
Take a trip back to the clubhouse and visit our favourite men with the long awaited story of Jazz and Spider.
The emotions of this book were like no other . Scarlet did such an amazing job of showing spiders soft side for his woman even went all you want to do it hate him and throw the book at a wall . The emotional roller coaster she takes us on with Jazzy is beautiful , hard and fits our girl to a T . Scarlett did their love story so much justice , they walked through fire came out with their souls fused together .
“I’ve never been a man to love, but I’m going to try Jazz, for you, for us’. Damn this book”
Wow Spider and Jazz are one intense couple. Both of these two have been thru some deep pain in their lives, both need to come to terms and heal from them. Loved the games these two played, not at the beginning cause for those I could of smacked them in the head for, but the ones close to the end. These two were definitely meant for eachother. Loved them apart, but more importantly i loved them together!
Jazzy and Spider don’t seem to be the perfect couple especially after their rocky start but the more your read their story the more you realize they are your new favorite couple. At times their story is gut wrenching and other times joyful. It’s in these moments you realize how amazing this author is. This is another epic story in this amazing series that never fails you.
What an emotional rollercoaster Spider and Jazz's story took me on. From beginning to end I was on the edge of my seat. I laughed, I cried, I got angry and my heart broke as dots were connect and realizations were made about Solo's death. My heart broke for Jazz and Spider at the losses life has thrown at them. I loved seeing them mature into the couple they are today from when they first began and I couldn't be happier for them. I can't wait to see what happens next!
Scarlett Black is truly gifted writer of battle born series again in next chapter of her book she has you laughing an crying keeping you up all night with book hang over next day.looking for hot read I suggests claiming his forever I was given this book for honest review this 5*read for mature audience. Only..
This was a beautiful, hard, emotional story to read and I couldn't put it down. Spider and Jazzys battle to overcome guilt, heartbreak and fear kept me turning pages hoping for their happy ever after. Don't pass this one up, it's a harrowing but rewarding read, highly recommend. Well done Scarlett, another great chapter in the Battle Born series.
I wanted to read Spider’s book bc he is a character that has been present in all the previous books, but at the same time very little was known about him. He is a reserved man, very intelligent, whose only concern is to protect his brothers and that responsibility leads him to the extreme. He doesn’t sleep, he barely lives bc of the guilt that he drags, first bc of the death of his brother and then bc of what happen to Solo. So when he spends the night with Jazz, he immediately kicks her off bc he doesn’t want that distraction, even though he knows how he feels about Jazz is different. Spider’s mistrust coupled with a lack of communication by Jazz makes this couple finish before they start and in a painful way. Some time later their paths cross again, but this time Spider will fight tooth and nail to make Jazz his forever. And although he has the support of Jazz’s family, he will have to face an adversary. Kilo, Jazz’s ex, is not willing to lose her and will do everything to prevent her from getting her HEA with Spider.
“I think if we would have held on, we would have dragged each other in the hell we were living and never came out alive. Some roads we have to travel alone.”
“That’s all I got, a desire to make it work and the endurance to be there for you when you need me, I know I can do that.”
I ❤️it and I’m dying to read Snake’s book.
“I’m gonna tell you what the men that have fallen before me have said. There is no other way to live than to live freely in the arms of the woman that is your life. The B’s of life, brother—beer, bank, and biker bitches.” Snake’s face draws up, almost confused, and it forces a laugh from deep in my chest. “I know, one day it will make sense. Not until you meet her will that start to feel right.”
I’m a big fan of Grandma Adelina, what a wise woman!
We've met Spider and Jazzy in the previous books. Now see some of the events from their POV and see their story unfold.
Spider is intense, observant, Sergeant At Arms, IT wizz, who makes things run smoothly while keeping his brothers alive. But he has some issues he needs to work through, mistakes that he feels is his fault. Not wanting or looking for a relationship or a woman, one nighters are all he needs. There's something about Jazz that has him thinking why she's getting under his skin. She's not like other women.
Not one to think that love is on the cards for her, or even think that love even exists. Jazzy has been burned before. Never again is she going to give her whole self over to a man. But with Spider she feels something could be there.
With things happening with the club and Jazz trying to get her life on track. Throw in an ex who's not taking no for an answer.
Can they work through their own problems and sort things out between them?
This was such an emotional read and well worth the wait.
The relationship moved beyond fast, I've known rockets take off slower. If this had been just sex, all the narration not explaining how connected they feel (so early on)... it could have worked, something to build on. Plus, I go into an MC story thinking were getting some dirty dark men. These people are the most emotional people I've probably read in an mc book. Kilo and the whole miscarriage, it was a no. This scene was spoken about so much after, and yet the action was explained and not described (showed and not told). It should have had more impact, literally in this case. If you're writing about the action, give it some umph. Overall, the development of their relationship felt beyond rushed. All the feelings weren't explained through actions of what had actually happened. It left me wondering how they felt so strongly, how they thought they had such history. Character development felt lacking. If they were dark, I don't like to see changes, but with all the mushy love they felt from 'connecting', I'd expect to see more. Additional characters, there are so many that you don't feel connected to any at all. So many come and go to add to a scene, but I didn't really feel linked, and side characters can really make a book. Fewer could have made a higher impact. Saying this, I see it's in a series, and this isn't the first book. These characters have been built throughout, I imagine.

Scarlett Black is an awesome writer. She writes super gritty stories, with strong, complex characters - especially her heroines and Claiming His Forever did not let me down. But I can tell you, I did have a hard time with this story. It was a raw, emotional roller coaster of a ride that had Jazzy at some terrifyingly low points, as well her journey to find both her true self and all the inner strength she had inside of her. I also get that Jazzy needed this journey as part of her self discovery and for the story overall. I just (personally) had a hard time overcoming my dislike for Snake. He was SUCH an @sshole to Jazzy in the beginning of their relationship, so distrusting, so paranoid, that it was difficult to get past - even when he had his epiphany about his feelings for her and his desire to change for her.
I still wanted to give the story 5 stars because it was really well told, I LOVED Jazzy, and it was my dislike for Snake was personal to me. It’s still definitely worth the read and I am really looking forward to Cowboy’s story as well as Snake’s in Sacramento!
I love this series and all of the characters. Spider fights his demons every day. He feels guilty that his brother and Solo died and blames himself because he didn't do more. He's gruff and angry. Jazzy belongs to Fuego's chapter of the MC but her cousins are part of Blade's chapter. She's a tattoo artist and often helps out in the Battle Born shop. She's had an on and off relationship with Kilo but for her it's been over for months. She ends up hooking up with Spider for one night. The attraction is there but Spider isn't willing to share any part of himself. He then gets the feeling that Jazzy is using him to make Kilo jealous and another night of revenge unprotected sex leaves Jazzy pregnant. Their relationship is cruel and spiteful and ends without her telling Spider he's the father. Time passes. She's still trying to get rid of Kilo who shows his true colors. He's abusive, obsessed and dangerous. Tragedy follows and it's a long time before she and Spider end up back together. Their story is an emotional ride and so darn good. Couldn't stop reading.
This is not a standalone, this was meant to be read as book eight in the series. There are all kinds of mentions of previous situations, and in fact this story sort of skips through the previous books but from the MC's POVs. Now, we had a bit of a clue that there was something brewing between Jazz and Spider, not sure what with the way they acted toward each other but there is a fine line between love and hate. Sometimes you don't know what you have until you lose it, and for Spider that was definitely the case, he lost Jazz before he really even had her and now he has to do whatever it takes to win her back.
This series is everything you want in an MC read, and this book was just another amazing piece of the puzzle. We get drama, danger, violence, heartbreak, and some super hot naughty bits. What a ride this was and I'm happy that its not over yet. I give this 5 stars
The story of Spider and Jaz takes you from high to low back to high back to low and every emotion in between. The rollercoaster is worth every bit of the ride. The bond these two characters form make you realize there is always hope at the end of a dark tunnel when you have the right person by your side. Spider gives us the alpha attitude we have all grown to love from the characters in this Battle Born world and to keep up with that he needed a woman just as strong, and Jazzy delivers the right amount of strength and sass even after everything she has been through. I love this entire series and can't wait to see what happens next. Highly recommend this book and all of the ones that come before it!!
Jazmin and Spider’s chemistry is off the charts, but they must each grow as a person on their own before they are ready to help care for others. When trust is broken can it be rebuilt? There is an evil force inside of the Battle Born MC that will try to keep Jazmin and Spider apart even if they have to kill to do it. Spider proves you aren’t born until you are Battle Born. The obstacles that Jazmin and Spider overcome in order to love each other are high, but they discover that their love will conquer everything. Ms. Black has another amazing read in the Battle Born MC series. Once you start you won’t want to put the book down! If you haven’t read her why not? Check out the Battle Born series!
Claiming His Forever is book 8 in the Battle Born MC series written by the talented and amazing author Scarlett Black. Ándale, Que Padre estuvo esta novela!I have not read a bad book from this author yet and this book is no exception! Scarlett Battle Born series has hooked me since the first book and she did an outstanding job writing Jazmin & Spider's story. This book is an emotional and fierce read that will keep in your toes from the first chapter until the last page. But NO SPOILERS!!! Loved the crazy banter, chemistry and the pull and push between Jazzy and Spider. They are meant to be together. If you like biker books with hot alpha males then 1-click this extraordinary book, you will not be disappointed!!!This book is one of my top read this 2020.
Claiming his Forever was a book that shows you sometimes you need to take the hard road before you can find your true path 'Home'! Spider and Jazzy needed to find their own peace and happiness within themselves before they could make each other happy. It was a hard road and they faced many obstacles and struggles along the way, but I believe it is what truly made them 'Battle Strong' and gave them each the strength they needed to realize what and who they wanted to become and travel down the rest of the road 'Home' too. Scarlett Black once again did an Amazing job with this book and this was a wonderful ending to the series. I am anxiously awaiting what she has in store for us next!! #BattleBorn #TeamBuilding
I absolutely love this series! I have been a huge fan of every book so far, but when Scarlett said that she was going to write Spider's book, I wasn't sure how I felt about it. He's always been in the background of the other books, and honestly just seems like a big jerk. However, this book blew me away. Spider is a huge jerk (putting it politely) but you get to see why and it will honestly tear your heart apart. Jazzy is just as broken, which you do not pick up on at all in the other books. They both try to tear each other down, but as soon as things shift they have to rely on each other to stay alive. Such a good book!
This story spans over a couple years and overlaps other books in the series. It can be a standalone, but you will not get the full story. There is a lot of hurt and heartache from lack of communication or just bad communication. Spider is absolutely brutal when he is hurt. Jazz is just lost even though she mostly covers it up. It is so sweet to see their understanding of the way things had to be dawn on them toward the end. And Spider when he decides he is going all in? SWOON!
I’ve been waiting for Spider and Jazz’s book and Scarlett did disappoint, this is an amazing story that takes you for a ride. I laugh, cried and wanted to throw and kindle at times.
Spider is intense, IT wiz and Sergeant At Arms for the club. He has some issues he needs to work out just like Jazz dose too.
Jazz has been hurt in the past by an ex. She don’t want to give her whole self over to a man after what happened with her ex but with Spider she feels different and safe.
This is an amazing book and I can’t wait to see what Scarlett has planed next!
*WARNING* contains adult situations, cussing, and violence I usually enjoy this series, I have read all of them and look forward to the next. This one, however, I didn't like all that much. The Spider character came across as a whiny butthole to me, not very Battle Born like. This male character just didn't seem to fit in with the rest of the MC characters until part 2. Jazz was an okay character. I think that this book was not as good as the others. This is more from personal preference because I just didn't like the main characters.
So I have loved this series and although this book took a slightly different route it was good to spend time at the Sacremento chapter. Plenty of angst and emotion, with also the thread of humour that Scarlett manages to inject into these stories. Although this is essentially the last book in this series, I look forward to reading Snake's book in the next adventure with that chapter. If you enjoy the MC genre I can also recommend Scarlet's contribution to Royal Bastards series with Ice and River.
I am so in love with battle born mc when i started the series i was worried it would be more of the same however i was happily surprised. the author drew me into that world as if i were a fly on the wall watching evrything evolve. this one is jazz and spiders book at first i wanted to rip spider a new one but as i got more into the book i could see just who spider is and yes i fell for spider such a strong fiercely loyal stubborn man suits jazz perfectly.
Spider and Jazz hooked up a couple of times resulting in many mistakes , growing up on both sides. Spider was a protector he took every failure upon his shoulders. Jazz went through life with no regrets , not dealing with the death of her father. The tragic hits Jazz and she finally grows into a woman. When Spider hears of all the misunderstanding on their parts he is finally claiming his woman.
The author takes us on a journey which is a roller coaster of emotions. Excellent read.
