This book is what I like to call a Wham-Bam-Thank you-Ma'm book. I enjoyed it for what it was, an erotic paranormal novella. There is no hidden depths or great soul searching discoveries in this book. It is however very erotic and very sexual, the story basically just gives all the sex a "setting" or "stage". I enjoyed the erotic couple of hour this book gave me, filling my visual imagination with ammunition to remember fondly.
I would recommend this book to anyone that might be between great novels and just want a break to be entertained by no string attached erotic reading. Just let go and enjoy this novella for what it is.

I got about halfway through this book and decided it wasn't worth my time to force myself to finish it. This book had very little story and a lot sex. Look, I like me a good book with dirty scenes, but this one just wasn't working for me, especially as a shifter book with (so far as I got) very little mention of it.

It was good but Moonlight Madison would rather make herself miserable about loving someone than give up her Independence. Instead of talking about it and how things made her feel she ran to me seemed a bit of a brat. Side note I loved her boss.

So I really liked this book. It was a good fast read, very sexy and I could identify very much with the Moon. I also LOVE alpha males... LOVE THEM.. So Blake was wonderful. Ilike the fact that he wss so into her and that he was scared, had pride issues, and considerate. All good things to have in a guy. I also liked the fact that there weren't unecessary characters in this story to muddle up stuff. I even like the slight element of BDSM in this book... (although I would have liked to see more)... But all in all it was a great book...

I didn't think this was very good. The author did a whole lot of telling in this story: that Blake was dominant, that Moonlight was submissive, that they loved each other, etc. The sex was frequent and not in the least bit sexy. None of it worked for me. I also didn't like the way Moonlight's animal side was revealed. There was a shroud of secrecy throughout the story that didn't make sense to me. It was obvious what she and Blake were and he just should have just come out with it, IMO.

As reviewed on Read Our Lips:

Moonlight struggles with her education fees, the perfect solution? To work as a Dominatrix. One day Blake, who she knows from the vet practice, appears and takes charge, as she´s secretly wanted all along. That he´s got even more answers to her and her life was something she never could have suspected. D/s, smutty fluff and shifters embracing their inner wolf.

I really like this author, but you can tell this one is from early on in her career. I liked the premise of a submissive working as a dominant Mistress to pay the bills, but the story felt rushed and even very hokey at the end.

Short, hot and entertaining. Much better than similar stories I've read before.

Novella.

Short but extremely hot story of Moon and Blake. Didn’t take long to finish but I would have liked more of their story.
