Audrey Scott might be a children’s librarian, but that isn’t all she can do. When her best friend, Gretchen Holden, stands accused of a murder, Audrey can’t handle doing nothing more than bailing Gretchen out of jail. She has to figure out who really killed Gretchen’s step-father, a universally hated federal judge.

This book is just as fun a ride as the first book in the series.
Once more, Audrey is faced with the challenge of clearing the name someone accused of a crime they didn't commit. This time it's her longtime friend and roommate, Gretchen, who's been accused of killing her step-father, Ted, a federal judge.
Knowing things don't add up, and not at all sure how to proceed, Audrey asks for ATF agent Derek Hennessy's help. Having exchanged messages over the last few months (since her other friend, Foste

Although there is enough backstory in The Librarian Picks Her Poison that it can be read as a stand-alone, for me, it flowed more easily because I already knew several of the characters from the first book, The Librarian Shoots a Gun.

Once again, I enjoyed the adventures of librarian, Audrey Scott. Her best friend and roommate, Gretchen, ends up being accused of murdering her stepfather, a man most of her friends know she does not like. Many of the characters from the previous book are in this on

The Librarian Picks her Poison - Audrey is back and this one starts with her getting a call from her best friend, Gretchen, who is in jail charged with murder! Audrey is right on the case in proving her friends innocence and she does everything in her power to find the real culprit. Audrey's possible love interest Detective John Smith - who we have since learned that this is not actually his real name steps in to help Audrey and her friend.

I really enjoyed both books and cant wait to see what A

Man, with the way the last one ended, I’ve been impatiently waiting for this sequel! Even though they seem like an odd match, I really do love Audrey and Derek together. This is such a fun mystery and the research Audrey does to contribute totally speaks to the budding librarian in me. Once again, I’m stuck waiting for the next book though!
