A pretty little twist on felt

Wool felt offers endless crafting possibilities - it feels soft to the touch, dyes easily, cuts without fraying and sews like a dream. When you combine felt with mixed-media elements such as paper, beads, buttons, lace, glitter and even bits of metal screen, you can make all kinds of magical creations, from zippered pouches and scented pincushi

This book was extremely eye-catching and pleasing, full of pretty designs and sparkling jewels, but the actual projects were just ok...nothing great, some of them were even pretty useless. I must say though that I absolutely loved the "Jewelry Envelope", the "Stuffed Chicks" and the "Paintbrush Roll"! They were as pretty-looking and beautiful as they are useful! I feel like it was worth reading for those three projects alone, hence the four stars.

**MUST make the Jewellery Envelope on p.67!!

Nice variety of projects that include hand sewing, felting & beading. I liked the number of small scale pieces. The overall aesthetic shows a love of old fashioned crafting, muted colors, thrifting, recycling and use of vintage bits and pieces.

I liked the needle books, p. 53 (though mine would be much, much simpler), the ipod sweater, p. 63, the jewelry envelope, p. 67, and the zipper purse, p. 71, though I'm not sure there is enough direction on putting in a zipper for a novice like me. Not a bad craft book, just ...more

Good information on dying small pieces. The felt bead ideas were great and I will be trying some of them. The other projects were pretty in an old fashion way, but not things I want to do right now. Note: JCL owns this book

Hmmmm? These crafts look kind of hard, detailed and often weird. I am a crafty-crafter and I have to say that this book is a "No" for me.
