This book was extremely eye-catching and pleasing, full of pretty designs and sparkling jewels, but the actual projects were just ok...nothing great, some of them were even pretty useless. I must say though that I absolutely loved the "Jewelry Envelope", the "Stuffed Chicks" and the "Paintbrush Roll"! They were as pretty-looking and beautiful as they are useful! I feel like it was worth reading for those three projects alone, hence the four stars.

Overall, this book is too frilly and frou-frou-y for me, but there were some projects I might make, especially after I tone them down a bit. Some seemed overly elaborate for my tastes, in terms of steps to make the objects. I liked the needle books, p. 53 (though mine would be much, much simpler), the ipod sweater, p. 63, the jewelry envelope, p. 67, and the zipper purse, p. 71, though I'm not sure there is enough direction on putting in a zipper for a novice like me. Hmmmm? These crafts look kind of hard, detailed and often weird. I am a crafty-crafter and I have to say that this book is a "No" for me.
