After winning the range war, Brawley is rich, heavily armed, and surrounded by potential wives. Seven orders. Seven amazing powers. Seven beautiful teachers. Will Brawley bond with the soulful Bender, Tammy? Or will he tame the lovely yet willful Arabella? Can he find a match among the mysterious Cosmics? Meanwhile, the world is going crazy. The Tiger Mage escalates his attacks. The Chaotics stir rebellion. And the Order unleashes its deadliest agent, Danica “The Dragon” McLeod, to reestablish the psionic status quo—at any cost. Then Brawley’s burner phone rings. He vows to rescue Remi’s sister from the formidable super-max Chop Shop. But how can Brawley succeed when the FPI is on high alert… and far deadlier enemies are waiting and watching, ready to pounce? Power Mage is an explosive series containing graphic violence and a harem of gorgeous women who wreak serious havoc with their minds. Read at your own risk.
A good addition to the story. Brawley cracks his 6th strand so that means he has another wife. I like that each one has a different personality and skill set. Things progress and things look like they are about to get real with the Tiger Mage and the Order. There was also a hint about the identity of the Tiger mage. Overall a good addition to the series and I am looking forward to the next one.
This series is pure trash...I’m almost embarrassed by how much I’m enjoying the story (although every now and then there are moments of good writing, which is at least a little redeeming).
This one was a little slow in the middle, but still a decent addition to the series. I wish the next book was out so I could see how it ends right now.
Once again I was entertained by the author's story and I stayed up late reading this book. The pacing was good and the little odd moments of slice of life really help keep me engaged with the story. Overall it was a good read.
This is adult, harem, urban fantasy fiction -- Texas style. There are some steamy scenes and plenty of action. Some recently added secondary characters perish in the fighting, and others are in deadly danger. In the midst of this is the gem about loving a woman with kids; love the kids and her heart is half-won. The wedding was nice break from the mayhem. It seems in the next book, the mysterious redhead will meet up with the MC Brawley, and that Alex is more than she seems. Plus, the Tiger Mage is likely... well, that would be a spoiler. In a few places, the author himself seemed a might riled. Have I said how much I hate cliffhangers?
More death and destruction in this book than some of the previous ones, it looks like we are getting closer to the throw-down between Brawley and the Tiger. Seems like we are also starting to loose some named characters as the Tiger is more active in hunting down anyone against him. The story has several explicit sex scenes which doesn’t take away from the action which is nearly constant throughout this book, it also has a few tender moments pulling at heart strings. Waiting impatiently for the next book in the series.
Hondk has done it again. Another great addition to this series and a cliffhanger ending. There are hints throughout this book that suggest we might be coming to the conclusion of this series (hopefully not). Things have not been as they seem and many of the threads from previous books are starting to combine and come together. Do yourself a favour and read this pronto. Now the wait for book 6
the story in my opinion is Well written it has a flow to it that has excitement intrigue and horror and real life emotions and feelings. the characters are distinct and I find myself submerging in the story and it's not words that appear to me but actually a movie of sorts going on in my mind's eye. for me that makes a good story I am interested to see where it goes next can't wait for the next book.
This book and this series is incredibly good. Every aspect works together amazingly well, the plot, the characters and the great action packed adventures! I love this series so much that I just keep reading it over and over and you will too. Do yourself a really big favor and read this book and this series now! You will be so glad that you did! :)
Power mage has been a great series of books. I anxiously awaiting the 6th and hopefully 7th books in the series. I hope Hondo chooses to stretch out the series for at least 2 more maybe 3. I want to know who the tiger mage is. Keep writing sir and keep Brawley kicking ass.
What a GREAT addition to this series. Mr Jinx is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. This installment finds our MC kick ass.from beginning to end. No small build up with a climatic ending, no rehashing what happend in past books, just grab ya by the horns and kick as from beginning to end! Keep up the good work and can't wait for the next one!
Brawley cracks another strand and only has one more to go to be a full true Power Mage. Will they get his sister-in-law out of the Crackshop prison? I like the action, humor, and romance. The wooing of his sixth wife is a more tender romance. Twists and traps appear as he moves to protect and right wrongs. I look forward to the next book.
Another great read that has pushed back my time to sleep!
When it comes to cliffhangers, I think this one takes the award. A book filled with action and turmoil from every angle, if you want more, there is clearly something wrong with you! Mostly kidding, this book has it all. I will start the final book tomorrow. Thanks Hondo Jinx for another great book!
I dont know how you can make a good series better but Hondo seems to have found the solution. Book 5 and getting me hooked in even deeper on Brawley and the girls. You Mr. Jinx are the devil tempting Me with needing to know what's next
Hondo is an amazing and glorious author. His novels are filled with super over the top action and plenty of pulpy romance! I love the stories and the MC is a beast. MORE!!!!!!!!
This was an exciting and explosive book, in the Power Mage series. That said, it definitely ended with a cliff hanger. Which is kind of annoying, but I will and would have read the next book anyways.
Well what one word would I use to describe this book 'MAGIC' it's got it sex, war,a jail break ,the good, the bad "ugly ?" don't know about ugly, killed in epic battle great stuff more more!.Mr Jinx ( soon please) thank you.
This series is just so intense and fast paced. It’s nonstop from beginning to end. The characters make it all the better with the way they talk to each other. It’s just a great book and I can’t wait for the next one.
The story keeps going strong. There was a small time jump between books 4 and 5, but it wasn't long. Things are getting ugly again in the world and it looks like Brawley is gonna have to save them.
This was awesome! It's a good thing that the wait isn't usually that long. Because I can't wait to see how this turns out. Especially with the ending of this book!!! Can't wait to see where the story takes us!
Can't wait for book 6 given the epic cliffhanger. Looking forward to the final answers to questions left open. We know who his cosmic may be, but that still leaves how the red head will play into it.
Well, Brawley is one character that you would never, EVER call a "goat roaper". For those born and bred Texans reading this review, you know what I mean. This has been a fun series, I'm looking forward to the 6th episode.
I envy you who's reading this review you get who read the books one after the other. Instead of waiting for each book to be written and published. Hondo Power Mage series is worth the read.
Don’t know if this the the penultimate book in the series, but I hope not. Great stuff. Hoping for at least two more. There’s certainly enough loose ends left to make for two more.
Exciting writing! But to attack a high security place like that is a fools errand. Getting in is hard enough, but getting out with any prize should be impossible. When the opponent can portal in stuff, you do tell a story.
Alot of things finally came together in this entry. Brawley is getting seriously OP but his encounters definitely show him power isn't everything. Can't wait to see how everything ends.
