Wynter's Captive
Lili’s life had never been very exciting, so she hoped her cousin’s wedding would provide some entertainment in her life. What she didn’t expect was to almost kill a man on her way to the ceremony. Es suuuuper cortito y muy incoherente.
No tiene nada destacable pero me entretuvo. Y después de que casi me da resaca por el libro de Arsen... cualquier cosa es mejor que eso.
Recomendado si quieres pasar el rato y no te importa que la historia no tenga ni pies ni cabeza jajajaj

She has done it again! Sucked me into the furry, alpha male, spank me world of the wolves! This one as the other did not disappoint! It was a great read that has you hurrying to turn the next page just to see who would be tied up next! I love this author she wraps you in the story from the first page. Only problem is I WANT MORE!

Mí humilde opinión:
Lili se dirige en coche para asistir a la boda de su prima y mejor amiga Jay.
Entonces de la nada un hombre se cruza en su camino. Creyendo que está mal herido baja del auto y de repente todo se vuelve caótico, dos hombres se convierten en lobo y comienzan a perseguirla por el bosque nevado.
Cade tiene un plan para vengarse de su ex mejor amigo. Robarle la novia antes de que llegue al altar.
No planeó que una mirada a la mujer y su lobo la reconozca como su compañera. Más que eso, Lili es diferente, divertida, inteligente y valiente. No teme al mundo sobrenatural en que la metió sin saberlo.
Lo que comenzó como venganza termina robándole el corazón pero la verdad detrás del rapto saldrá a luz y Cade puede no solo perder a su compañera sino a la mujer que ama.
Es el primer libro que leo de esta autora, me atrajo la trama y portada.
Según escuché esta es su nueva versión mejorada de un libro anterior.
Es una lectura fácil, me reí en algunas partes, vi dulzura, sensualidad, acción pero la historia es tan ridícula como sus protagonistas. Perdón, pero si no lo vuelco aquí en Mí humilde opinión, me quedará atravesado de por vida!
Le faltaron detalles a la historia y también hubo muchas inconsistencias.
Por ejemplo...
Cade secuestra a la novia de su mejor amigo o ex, lo que sea, y termina acostándose con ella? Yo diría que es muy bajo por más venganza que quiera.
Hombre, que entiendo la cosa de parejas de lobos y esa atracción instantánea pero para mí se pasó de línea. Eso no me gustó y todo este tema de secuestrar a la novia de otro.
Después, me pregunto, por qué pensaría Cade que la novia conducirá a su propia boda y cómo sabe que es la mujer correcta? Quedó como un tonto. Todo ese tema me pareció cuestionable y loco.
Luego está Lili, te secuestran y te vuelves loca de la lujuria por el hombre que te secuestró? No estarías aterrada luego de ver humanos convirtiéndose en lobos por todos lados y te persiguen?
No me podía creer cómo se manejaba está mujer. Me gustó su personalidad pero me resultó exagerado sus reacciones a lo desconocido y lo bien que acepta que existen hombres lobo.
Adoro las historias cortas y sexys de todo tipo con insta-love o no pero esta me dejó a medias.
En fin, a pesar de ser un libro con locos errores por todos lados me hizo reír y preguntarme por un rato.

I haven't read any paranormal romance books lately and "Wynter's Captive" was a pleasant break. It was really fast-passed and there were numerous events happening without much depth analysis, so it felt a little rushed. Still Lili and Cade's story was enjoyable to read.

Muy caliente! Milly Taiden (aka April Angel) never disappoints with her scorching hot, sexy, erotic romance tales whether they are contemporary or paranormal. This lady’s words probably have a better effect than fertility drugs. I think I felt my eggs drop while reading her newest release, Wynter’s Captive.
Liliana Rojas’ stubborn streak is about to bite her in the rear. Her cousin Jaylin just had to be different by insisting on having a winter wonderland wedding out in the middle of nowhere. And so Lili finds herself in her car rushing to make it there on time. If she hadn’t been fiddling with her radio, she would have noticed the man standing in the middle of the road. When she goes to check on the stranger, she witnesses something she’s only seen in horror movies.
Cade Wynter is in the mood for a little pay back. Five years ago, his ex-fiancee claimed to have been having an affair with his best friend. When he hears that his best friend is about to get married, he hatches a plan to kidnap the bride. One look at Lili, one touch, one kiss, and Cade knows he has found his mate. The attraction between them is fast and furious, but when he discovers that he has made a huge mistake, he stands to lose her before he really had her. As if that weren’t enough of a problem, he also has to deal with his brother Cyrus. Cyrus will stop at nothing to hurt Cade in order to take over the pack, and that includes going through Lili.
I got my first taste of Milly Taiden’s writing, dealing with wolf shifters, in her short story, Mate Event in the Halloween Heat III Anthology. I love that when her wolves shifters mate, they like to bite ;) This story was no different. I found the push and pull of their attraction and their dialogues highly amusing.
Lili is full of spirit and sass, and I loved every minute of her mouthing off to Cade. She doesn’t take well to being bossed around, and she isn’t afraid to put him in his place.
On the flip side, I loved Cade being struck dumb that she would dare talk back to him. He’s used to getting his way, not only as the pack leader, but also as a male. When Lili doesn’t cower to him, she just intrigues him more with each passing minute.
If you love short, scorching hot wolf shifter loving with some bite, one tough heroine and a sexy alpha male, then you won’t want to miss this.

Why the heck hadn’t she brought any of her naughty lingerie? Because she was supposed to be at a family wedding, not frolicking in the woods with the Big Bad Wolf in an X-rated version of Little Red Riding Hood.

Milly sure knows how to write one hot and engrossing read! She had me hooked after reading Sharp Change and I find myself still hooked and looking for more after reading this story. This is a short, erotic paranormal read that grabs a hold of you and does not let go! Any paranormal romance reader that enjoys it nice and hot will enjoy the brief escape they’ll get with Wynter’s Captive.
Talk about timing! Lili is on her way to her cousins wedding (and in a huge rush), when she suddenly sees someone or something in the road. Thinking she hit the person/thing she pulls over and checks to see if they are alright. BAD IDEA Lili! The male whisks Lili away, abducting her and bringing her to some other males. Abduction… bad! Hot man in front of her right now… good! Very good indeed!
A 4.5 rating for me rounded to a five. My only reason for not giving it a perfect 5 is I was looking for a bit more of a build between Lili and Cade. They are a great couple, the attraction, desire and antics between the two make you want to know more about their future as a couple. I look forward to what Milly has in store for us next :)

Cade had the perfect plan for revenge, kidnap the bride of the man who betrayed him. Cade knows he has her, but his plan takes a sharp turn when he realizes she is his mate. Lilli is running behind trying to get to her cousins wedding when she is taken, not one to back down she tries all sorts of tactics to get away from the furry alpha in front of her. The main hurdle in her road is the unexplainable attraction she feels to Cade. When Cade realizes he kidnapped the wrong women, he has to figure out how to explain to his feisty mate that his intentions were heartfelt.
Entertaining story, loved that Lilli has this horror movie perception that she speaks freely added humor to this exciting book. Cade was pure alpha and irresistible, will definitely read more from Milly Taiden

Started strong but plummeted fast
This read just did not work for me! It was disappointing
Pros:
• The beginning of this book sucked me in and left me wanting more
• Creative concept, it could have been great
Cons:
• For a book to start so well, it went to hell fast.
• For a 123 page book, its pretty hard for me to grow bored, but this read did that for me
• WAY overpriced at $3.99
• Worse case of insta-love ever
• The characters felt very artificial to me – not only unrealistic but they had no depth

WHAT I LIKED
Where do I begin? I adore shifter novels (who doesn't?!) and I've always had a soft spot for wolf shifters. Let's face it, I like a strong, dominant, alpha male and luckily for me, so does Milly :D You can always count on her heroes to take no prisoners when it comes to getting what they want. Well, ok so in Wynter's Captive, Cade does take a prisoner...Lili, who becomes his mate. I don't want to give away too much and this is a short book so I won't reveal much of the plot, but I'll tell you that it's super sexy and has an engaging plot. A lot of times erotic romance, especially novellas, severely lack in a storyline, but that's one thing I've always loved about Milly's books. There's more than just sex.
The other thing I love is that she doesn't write physically perfect heroes and heroines. All too often (and yes, I'm guilty of this too), heroines are gorgeous, slender, and flawless. One of my favorite parts was at the beginning when Lili is racing through the forest being chased and thinking how she's going to die because she's out of shape. Seriously, how many of us would have that EXACT same thought running through our head? I know I would. The fact that her characters are so real and genuine makes it that much easier to fall into the story.
WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE:
It had to end :( I need to have a sit down with Milly because her books are too good to end LOL. Let's see if I can talk her into writing longer stories so I can enjoy more of her characters. Wouldn't hurt that a longer book would also mean even more sex that will have you panting and squirming ;)
OVERALL VERDICT: 5/5 Blue Duckies!
If you're looking for a fast, extremely hot book featuring sexy alpha shifters, a woman who is no pushover, and a great story, look no further! Grab your copy of Wynter's Captive and be ready to be immersed in a fantastic world and whirlwind plot. Oh and you may want to have a tall, cold drink on stand by...or a sexy alpha of your own ;)

Every time I read something from Milly Taiden I think there is no way she can top what she wrote the last time but each time thankfully I am proven wrong each and every time.
WYNTER'S CAPTIVE is so freakingly good. Ever since I read SHARP CHANGE I have been waiting for more wolves by Milly Taiden and thankfully Christmas came a few weeks later again and WYNTER'S CAPTIVE came out.
WYNTER'S CAPTIVE has everything that a Milly Taiden fan has come to expect. Strong heroines that do not take crap from anyone including the hero and heroes who know what they want the minute they see it.
Cade just wanted to delay his former best friend's wedding by kidnapping his fiance but unknowingly kidnaps the maid of honor. One glance at Lili and he has no intention of any man coming near her again including his ex-friend.
But when Lili finds out what his intentions were will she ever be able forgive him?
Lili not only has to deal with the fact that she wasn't the real intended kidnapee but the fact that she has stumbled into a group of wolf shifters and that she became mated with one.
Fans of Milly Taiden's will not be disappointed with WYNTER'S CAPTIVE and will have new fans looking for more. What she packs so much emotion, action and heat in 100 pages that readers will keep hoping that more pages will magically appear to make it longer. I personally would love it if Milly Taiden were to write an even longer book.
Milly's books do need to come with a warning though. WARNING: READER MAY NEED COLD SHOWER AND TURN ON AIR CONDITIONING WHILE READING. Also this may be a panty optional read because the scenes are so scorchingly hot.

Cade hold me Captive! Please!! Lili is on her way to her cousins wedding when she thinks she has hit a man. The man is fine and it turns out to be a ploy to capture her. Cade Wynter thinks she is her cousin, Jaylin, who is about to marry his former best friend, the man he thinks stole his former fiancé. When she emerges from the car she notices not one man, but two and now they are chasing her thru the woods. At some point she notices she is being chased by wolves instead of men until they shift back to human form. Who doesn't like being chased by hot naked men? She runs straight into Cade Wynter and is immediately attracted to him. She's finding it hard to believe it is Stockholm syndrome as she has only been captive for "the blink of an eye". What is she to do now? She is being held captive by the hottest man and no one has ever made her feel this way. Does she really love him and why is he holding her captive? Go read Milly's book and find out! This was an awesome story, I could feel myself running thru the winter woods right next to Lili and was captivated by the sense of being surrounded by the wolves.

I really didn't like Cade in this one. His plan to kidnap a bride for revenge against the groom was just awful, especially since he never bothered to confirm that the groom had wronged him. Then to kidnap the wrong woman, and decide she was his mate, mate her without asking (meaning she would become a shifter, too), and think she should be OK with that -- well all of that was just awful.
Lili was kind of ridiculous, too -- she is immediately in lust with the guy who kidnaps her? That would so not happen. I get that shifters love their mates immediately, but she wasn't a shifter, so she wouldn't have had those instant feelings. Besides, women do NOT fall in love with their kidnappers unless they have Stockholm Syndrome -- and that is NOT a good thing.
This one gets 2.5 stars from me, rounded down to 2 stars, because unlikable heroes and women falling in love with their kidnappers both really bother me.

I loved Lili and Cade's story. I admit that they met under strange circumstances. Lili was just minding her own business and trying to get to her counsins wedding. What would you know that she almost hits some wolves and the next thing you see is two naked men. That would be every woman's dream come true. Only thing is they aren't for her.
I loved watching Lili not bow down to Cade and you could tell that he did to. Glad to know that there is a woman out there that will give Cade the one thing he needed most.
This story made me laugh. I will warn you that if you read this book make sure you are in a room by yourself or have your own sexy wolf with you. Either way you will need it. Take the chance and read this book. See if you can make it all the way through without having to take breaks to cool down.

This book is packed from page one to the end, but not overly so that you feel the author is trying to cram to much stuff into a short book. She did a great job of making me feel like I had read a full book even though I was able to do it in the matter of a few hours. I really enjoyed the characters and the story line and kind of hope that the next time I am driving down a deserted country road, that I too can find myself trying to not hit a wolf man that is standing in the middle of it. I HIGHLY recommend this one!!

What a fun and exciting read this turned out to be . I thoroughly enjoyed the ups and downs this sexy couple went through .
I really had fun relating to the warped humor of Lili. I found myself laughing out loud more then once while I had my nose buried in my book . And can we say HOT HOT HOT when talking about my new love Cade (yummy ) I really did enjoy this book from begining to end and would suggest a nice afternoon by the fire while reading . Yup will be looking for more more more . Thank you

I have one complaint.. Why so short!!! I want more of Cade, Lili, Brandon, Kevin.. all of them! I love Wolves!
Lili is a take charge girl and Cade is an alpha, what could be better than watching them spark off each other. The storyline is explosive, lots of hot sex, romance that is just out of this world, makes you want to sigh as you read it. Milly has a gift for bringing the story to life and her characters always seem to be more realistic than most.

What a really cute book. It was short and so light to read. I loved it. There was parts that just made me laugh and (Awwwed) :D. The bond between Lili and Cade was really sparky, joyful and hawt. Lili is a funny girl and Cade is just excellent. I like that he's not afraid or shy to admit his feelings which some males think it's silly. He was perfect. The were-wolves was a great twist in the story. Braden, Kevin and the others. Really happy book.

Loved this book. Milly Taiden is a new author to me and I thoroughly enjoyed this hot, steamy story "Wynter's Captive." PNR is an absolute favourite genre of mine.I will definitely be putting more of her books on my "Want to Read"

All of Milly Taiden's books should come with a warning label. Seriously, your ereader may catch fire. Another fab shifter story with Taiden's trademark sassy Latina heroine and hot, brooding hero. You'll finish in one sitting.

Winter's Captive es la historia de un hombre-lobo, que desea vengarse de su ex mejor amigo por quitarle su prometida, por lo que decide secuestrar a la suya justo el día de la boda, lo q no esperaba era, primero, secuestrar a la mujer equivocada y segundo, no solo vincularse a ella, sino que volviera toda su vida patas arriba.
Es una historia entretenida de leer, con un personaje masculino Alfa, pero con una heroina de caracter bastante fuerte q le pone los puntos sobre las ies, es fluida y divertida, aunque como la mayoría de los cortos, deja algunos vacíos y muchas interrogantes, en especial si, como en mi caso, es la primera historia de cambiaformas q lees.

Lili is a VP for a big bank and her cousin is getting married to her wolf shifter fiancé. While driving to the event she’s stopped my naked wolf and then kidnap.
Cade is the Pack Alpha and after thinking kidnapping his ex friends future bride would be a good idea but instead of the bride his pack kidnapped the maid of honour.
Lili absolutely terrified when she thinks she accidentally run over a man but then realised he’s naked and that she’s surrounded my gorgeous naked men.
I really enjoyed that Lili is very independent and outspoken and challenges Cade and his other pack members.
Loved this short story and hopefully more books will come out of the series especially with Cade’s pack members
