When Miranda was last seen, she confessed to killing 12 people. She was declared criminally insane and locked away.,, supposedly forever.

Today she is on the run again. After adding to her list of kills, she flees to the United States with DS Henry Swales and Lisa Price, a news blogger right on her trail. Lisa's brother is serving time in a prison because he was framed for one of Miranda's crimes.

Miranda is like a chameleon, changing her whole persona as she goes on a killing spree. Police

I have been a fan of Stewart's work for a little while now. As well as trying to keep pace with his new releases (the man is a writing machine), I have tried to read as much of his earlier work as I possibly can. At times he releases books quicker than I can read them. Anyway that's besides the point. I loved the first book in the 'Miranda' trilogy and I just couldn't wait to read the second book called 'Mistress'. Well ladies and gents the wait is over because 'Mistress' was released on 15th ...more

This is book 2 in the Miranda Trilogy so if you haven't read book 1 I recommend you do so because it helps to understand Miranda and her personality.

Book 1 ended with the death of Patricia and that is where this book begins.

Lets start with the characters.

Miranda, she found out by accident that she likes to watch people die, in particular men. She also has an inbuilt repulsion of men 'handling' her in any way and her reaction to any contact is uncontrollable rage. There is something about the

Aaargh - the Second Coming!! And this book is everything I had hoped for and much more! The story picks straight up from the end of book one "Miranda" with our girl having to go on the run from Dunford Police after one murder too many. You really do need to read book 1 first for everything here to make sense and I promise it will be time well spent getting to know the history involved. In Mistress the story telling is split into two halves, Then and Now. In the Now chapters we get to read about ...more

This is the second book in this series and it is a belter. The story begins with Miranda behind bars in a Women's prison in California convicted of the murder of a man that she ironically didn't kill. I know, it has to make you smile when you know just how many lives she has taken. Thing is she has an alibi, she was at the time committing another murder, so she is between a rock and hard place as you could say. The story drops back to where the last book ended to fill in all the missing pieces ...more

This is the second book in the Miranda trilogy and after reading the first book in the series I couldn't wait to get my hands on this one! The first book was excellent and this one was just as good!!

Miranda is one of my favourite characters of all time, she is so well developed and I really love reading about her, she quite clearly has a lot of issues and even though I probably shouldn't like her, I really do!

The book was well written and I loved the pace,

Mistress is the sequel to 'Miranda' by the hugely talented author Stewart Giles. I didn't think that Stewart's books could get any better. I was wrong. Very wrong!
Miranda is currently in the Central California Women's Facility. Miranda's lawyer, Miss Georgia Pettigrew, is pushing for an appeal to get Miranda's sentence reduced as Miranda is persistently claiming that she is innocent of the murder of a man, who was found in a Motel room just outside Barstow; at the time of his death Miranda

I apologize for the words used. The book made them pop out

Holy Fuck!! What did I just read? My favorite serial killer is back!! Bolder and more wicked than I could ever believe. Actually, I should say it is author Stewart Giles and the dark matter which is currently entrapped in his cranium which is at fault.

What a book!! Miranda who fleed to America after killing a cop in UK soon started her business of killing people. I never could understand if it was purely for pleasure or if she had an

Oh blimey crikey! Where do I start? Perhaps with a warning…. do not start this book if you want/need to put it down or be involved in real life. It has that magical magnetism that keeps you turning for “just one more chapter”... and another… and another. I devoured this . Miranda is on a spree again only this time she has killed someone on the force and then off to pastures new. DS Swales has the bit between his teeth and teams up with a blogger to go after Miranda on the far side of the pond. ...more

Giles has done it again! I was riveted. More expertley crafted action packed adventures with Miranda.
Similar to the previous novel we start with Miranda captured by the authorities in America and now on death row. Despite confessing to 12 murders in England and twice as many in America, she's on death row for a murder she didn't committ and her solicitor is trying to help her appeal it!!!!!

Reminiscent of a modern day Ruth Rendell thriller, we know who the killer is and what she's done. She's

Mistress, the second book in the Miranda Trilogy, takes up exactly where the first book, Miranda, ended. Despite the police quickly realising who has committed this most recent murder Miranda manages to escape England to continue her killing spree on the other side of the Atlantic. Her intelligence and strategic brain keeps her one short step ahead of the authorities.

Miranda is pure evil except for one situation where she shows surprising compassion. Is that perhaps a clue to her background?

MISTRESS: SHE'S KILLED AGAIN follows the gruesome ending of MIRANDA: SHE MIGHT JUST KILL AGAIN has a diabolical plot, riveting suspense and continues the innovative storyline.
Navigating the horrifying labyrinth set by an enigma with Machiavellian skills makes this an intense, exciting page turner. You won't be able to put it down.
Explosive Dynamite twists leave me in fear of Book 3.

Another twisty turn offering from Stewart Giles - brilliant! One thing that always strikes me about these books, is that that would make an excellent TV drama series. Well developed characters and an intriguing plotline.

After reading English at 3 Universities and graduating from none of them, I set off travelling around the world with my wife, Ann, finally settling in South Africa, where we still live. After Ann dropped a rather large speaker on my head I came up with the idea for a detective series. DS Jason Smith was born. Smith, the first in the series was finished a few months later. 3 years and 8 DS Smith ...more
