A haunting short story told like a fable. The metaphor of toxic family members may resonate with some readers, and the literal fog of depression can be negative and cruel indeed. This tale reads quickly with expert prose. Recommended for aficionados of literary horror and classic fantasy.

Jack CJ Stark, known as Jack, CJ, or simply Stark, exists in the space between. He sometimes writes stories about people, life, and that which he sees taking place around him. He is a follower of the old gods, and once spoke to an owl.
