Dive into this sizzling romantic comedy from USA Today bestselling author Melissa Schroeder.

He is absolutely, completely, and undoubtedly the one man I shouldn't fantasize about.

Other than being my boss, he's too rigid, a workaholic with a checkered past when it comes to women. Knowing all that, I shouldn't think about how his hands would feel on my body, or how his voice

Absolutely love Sydney, she’s tough, ballsy, and intelligent. Grady is doing everything he can not to be like her other bosses. He and his brothers have a wonderful relationship and their parents are adorable. Syd has her brother Travis, we met him in the Camos and Cupcakes series. Grady was in the series briefly, his story actually happens parallel to the Scrumptious book. Characters to live with friendships we adore, another fabulous series starter. I received an early copy and the review was ...more

Hate To Love You is the first book in Melissa’s new series. You are going to love this book it has romance and comedy all wrapped together! We meet Grady Hawthorne anal CEO of Hawthorne Enterprises and his administrative assistant Syd Fillmore. Syd is super organized and perfect for the uptight CEO who has recently taken over the position since his dad retired. Grady and Syd have an interesting relationship to say the least they may be employee and boss and appear to aggravate each other but ...more
Hate to Love You is a standalone story featuring characters from the world of Ms Schroeder's wonderful Camos and Cupcakes series, and it's a very readable story. That was not only entertaining, but full of heat and humour. And with little angst and lots of appealing characters, I was easily absorbed throughout. Therefore, I would happily recommend it to others.

Sydney goes above and beyond for her job as Grady's executive assistant. The friction in their relationship is based on unrequited attraction. Things heat up at an event that changes their relationship. Lots of love and humor. Such a good book, well written!

I loved everything about this book!! It was my first book by Melissa Schroeder but based off her writing style it won't be my last!

Sydney is a firecracker of an assistant that back talks her workaholic boss like we all wish we could. She works hard and plays harder when her best friend is around. Grady is her uptight, workaholic boss that can't seem to stand her. When she isn't feeling her best on a work trip he steps up and takes care of her things start to shift between them. They both know

I was sad when the Camos and Cupcake series ended, but Hate to Love You is kind of a spin off and gives a whole slew of new characters to enjoy.

I liked that Sydney was intelligent, strong, kind of brash, sarcastic, yet easy going, and a genuinely nice person. She and Grady worked so well together, and the sexual tension started building from the very beginning. I liked the fact that Grady respected Syd, her intelligence, her professionalism, and recognized her competence to move beyond the job

This is a new series from the author and it stars characters introduced in the previous Camos and Cupcakes series. It means that some of them are seen in this story and world which is kinda cool. This was a well writtend romance at work vbetween a boss and his assistant. He is a pretty cool boss but worries about starting a romance with his employee.

Grady is the CEO and his assistant is Syd and she is not just an employee but also a family friend. He has several brothers and they all know and

It is hard to be a woman in a mans world. Syd knows this firsthand. She has liked Grady from the star but he is her boss and he infuriates her to no end. No matter what Syd wants to prove that she can do her job just as good as any man and can stand on her merits. Grady is a temptation that is hard to resist. Grady is fighting his own battle with temptation. Syd is one he should not succumb to but the more he tries to resist the harder it gets. The attraction between the two is off the charts ...more

Syd works for Grady Hawthorne as his executive assistant. She is great at her job. So good that Grady fells he can't operate his business without her. Grady finds that he is willing to break his own rule and have a relationship of sorts with her. Syd has had a crush on Grady since he took over from his father over a year ago. This is a spin-off of the Camos & Cupcakes world and was absolutely fantastic. Sydney is trying to get ahead in what is largely a man’s world, so she is very careful with her reputation. Her boss Grady Hawthorne tests that on a daily basis. Grady knows she is amazing at her job and that he could never replace her so they both fight their attraction to the other. Grady decides that he is willing to break his own rule and try to have a relationship with her, but they both decide to keep it a ...more

What happens when you mix a bright, sassy assistant with a gruff, growly boss? You get a humorous tale with smart, snarky dialogue and wonderful side characters you feel almost as invested in as you do with the MC’s. This is fast-paced, witty story with the sharp, quick-witted back and forth between Sydney and Grady keeping you entertained from start to finish. They have such wonderful chemistry and, oh boy, such hot, steamy passion. It’ll curl your toes! All the characters are so well-drawn, ...more

Hate To Love You by Melissa Schroeder has it all. It’s a romantic, witty, funny story between Sydney and Grady. They have amazing chemistry which builds throughout their story. Sydney is strong, smart and sassy and at times you forget who’s the boss. Syd and Grady deal with current workplace issues and it makes this story relatable to readers. I always enjoy a great spin-off series when characters you’ve met before filter back in and tie back to a previous story. I love the setup of development ...more

Sydney had me laughing right from the first page. It was such a funny but great juxtaposition - a feisty assistant and an a stick-up-his-ass CEO. The story was very well written, dialogue was on point, just the way I like it. The secondary characters were absolutely fun to to get to know. Carter was such a hoot. I hope the writer can write books on them so Nancy and Travis get a HEA and whatever is wrong with Quinn is resolved with the help of a feisty lady!

I will definitely be looking out for

This book was fantastic. There was so much chemistry between Grady and Sydney. I love their banter. Grady was her boss and he didn’t want to cross any lines with Syd, but the heart wants what it wants. They were convinced it was just lust but it turned out to be so much more. This is a spin-off and there is some character crossover, but it can be read as a stand-alone. Although,I would recommend reading the previous books first for optimal enjoyment.I can’t wait to read the next in this series. ...more

Absolutely best romantic comedy , First book I have read from this author and loved it, Sydney Fillmore is sassy, bold, bad ass, ( you will love he ) , Assistant to Grady Hawthorne Bossy, uptight CEO. They differently have an interesting work relationship and aggravate each other. Throw in a bachelorette party, wedding , and migraine and other events, twists ,. You sill not want to put the book down, I laughed when I Syd said best friends name as Nancy ad a Sex Pistols fan . Love the dynamic of ...more

I so wanted to give this book 4 stars heck even 5 because it was such a charming and enchanting read but there are some mix ups in character descriptions, incomplete thoughts/dialogues, and timeline issues that are pretty major once you get to them other than that this book had me up until 5am flipping pages I could not put it down Grady and Syd have to be one of my all time favorite couples and the side characters were so hilarious and all around entertaining I really hope we get Travis and ...more

Hate to Love You

I love this book! I love the expansion on some of the characters from Camo & Cupcake series. Syd can be very sarcastic and mean to her boss, Grady. But on the inside she is very attracted to him. Grady wants Sydney but he doesn't mix pleasure with co-workers. Then things begin to change. I really enjoyed the banter between these two. I loved reading about Grady coming out of his hard exterior. I am really hoping for books for Travis and Nancy and for the other brothers. I

This rom-com was simply delightful!!! Sydney and Grady's story had no difficulty in capturing and holding my interest. These appealing characters will make you laugh, have you rooting for them and in the end leave you feeling swoony. The story line offers up a entertaining blend of drama, emotions, humor, snappy chemistry, clever banter and heat. I want to be Sydney when I grow up. Strong, smart and puts the boss in his place. This is an empowering read with laughs and annoying brothers. I love the characters and cant wait to read more about the other brothers. I love that it's a spin off with character crossovers, and new stories that just make your heart melt. The banter between Sydney and Grady is fantastic. A really great story and cant wait for more.

Ms. Fillmore and Mr. Hawthorne 5 stars - Grady thought that calling Sydney by her last name will keep their relationship professional. Hah! Eventually, “Ms. Fillmore” sounds as dirty as Sydney calling him “Mr. Hawthorne”. This is a great story with a slow-burn romance. When they finally ignored their self-mandated rules and crossed the sexy line, well, it got really steamy. The dialogue is crisp, funny and entertaining. Sydney’s inner dialogue is humorous. It was fun reading this book. I do love ...more

3.5 stars I was looking forward to the new series with characters that I met in the Camos and Cupcake series which I adored by the way. I thought Grady and Syd’s story would be interesting but it was average. There wasn’t anything that grabbed my attention and kept me interested but I did like Carter. I hope he’s the next book. I have read several of Melissa’s books and I have really enjoyed them. Hopefully I will connect with the next book in this series. Until next time y’all happy reading.

Absolutely loved the sexual tension between Grady and Sydney, this couple has sparks flying in every direction. This book was so much fun to read, all the supporting characters being siblings add the laugh out loud factor and of course the ever sibling rivalry. I liked the storyline with an easy transition from both POV, plus the added commentary from all their siblings. Great start to a new series. Looking forward to reading the rest about the Fillmore and Hawthorne crew.

Hate to Love You by Melissa Schroeder is a sweet, sexy and laugh out loud funny spin-off from the Camos and Cupcake series. Grady Hawthorne is gorgeous and driven. Sydney Fillmore is smart and sassy. When these two are in the same room you can feel the chemistry. This book had me laughing and sighing and breaking out the ice water. Highly recommend.

Funny fantastic read

This was such a funny fantastic read. Ms. Fillmore and Mr. Hawthorne have such an interesting boss/subordinate relationship that you know if they get together it will be fire! Even more interesting than these two main characters are the other Hawthorne brothers. I can’t wait to read their stories.

This was more of a slow burn than I am used to by Ms Schroeder. I loved Grady and Sydney though. They really fit each other well. I would have liked to see his parent's reaction to the relationship is my only complaint. Look forward to more in this world.

Mr. Hawthorne

I freaking loved Sydney. From beginning to end she was a riot. Add in Carter to give his brother he'll and you have one of the best Rom Coms from Melissa.
