Chloe Daniels's agent sent her to Tillbridge Horse Stable in Maryland to research a part on a film. No matter that she's terrified of horses, there's nothing that will stop her from getting the contract that could restart her career. Not even the surly stable manager, Tristan Tillbridge.

Tristan have enough on his plate already than to deal with the actress that his cousin was supposed to train. But he'll soon discover that she's no spoiled woman and that her big heart is the most attractive thi

The Cowboy’s Claim is a light and easy read that I found quite enjoyable. Chloe Daniels is a struggling actress vying for a part in a film as a stable manager but there is one problem. She’s afraid of horses. She gets off on the wrong foot with the hero and has to figure out a way to get his cooperation. Tristan Tillbridge doesn’t need one more thing on his plate, and having an actress shadow him, takes the cake. He dumps her on someone else to deal with but later notices that she’s been resourc ...more

This is a sweet, low angst boy meets girl he doesn't want to like. I enjoyed the story line of Chloe being an actress and needing to learn how to learn to ride a horse. I loved how she stepped up to help out, without being asked, and finding a strength within herself and making new friends. Tristin has unresolved family issues around the farm and is resentful of Chloe showing up unexpectedly. Of course, they work it out and love wins. ...more

This book was so wonderful! The characters and the setting (who doesn't love a good cowboy romance) was a delight! The story just had me smiling from beginning to end and I will be recommending it to everyone!

Chloe is an actress who is still waiting to get noticed and she believes that her upcoming audition could be the stepping stone her career needs and the only thing standing in her way is her unfamiliarity with horses. She is looking forward to spending time at Tillbridge Stables to learn everything she needs to know but she hadn’t counted on the uncooperative ranch manager.

Tristan is very disgruntled not only about the fact that Chloe is staying at the ranch but about the family dynamics surroun

Romance books like The Cowboy's Claim are what made me fall in love with the genre in the first place. I loved the slow burn, push & pull feeling that Chloe and Tristan gave us. These two both had some things they were dealing with: Chloe is trying to prep for the role that could give her career the boost it needs, and Tristan is dealing with the stables that were just dropped into his lap.
I loved watching these two figure out how to deal with each other. And when their relationship moves towar

The Cowboy’s Claim begins the Tillbridge Stables series with a couple that gets off to a very rocky start – as in, Tristan is ignoring Chloe’s need for training to the point where others around the ranch are doing what he’s supposed to which is teach Chloe to get beyond her fear of horses.

Chloe is an actress up for a role that could make all the difference in her career. The trouble is the part is that of a stable manager and Chloe has a fear of horses. She’

The Cowboy's Claim was an interesting take on the usual cowboy romance. Slow to start, you wonder if the romance will ever get there, but once it does, you can't help but root for the hero and heroine to be together. When the book opens, you meet Chloe, a down and out California actress who is vying for an important role in a film. Now, she's at Tillbridge stables out east for six weeks to prepare for her audition. This felt like a serious stretch to me just for an audition but I digress. She im ...more

The Cowboy's Claim is the first book I've read by Nina Crespo and I enjoyed it. It's not the type of story I usually read these days but she will be an attending author at the virtual Coastal Magic Convention in February 2021 and I wanted to read a book by her before then.

This was a boy meets girl from a world different than his. Tristan doesn't really like Chloe much at first but she soon surprises him. Chloe is an aspiring actress and comes to Tillbridge Stables to learn how it operates for a

Tristan. I just love Tristan so much, even though I wanted to smack him here and there. Chloe needed to find herself, and she did that at the Stables. She is such a great character, and I loved these two together. I cannot wait to read more in this series!

Not sure what i thought of this book really. It is a pretty standard romance, 2 unlikely people find love together. but the ending though... it is not wrapped up in a neat little bow. and that is my sorce of confusion. on the one hand, I like that the ending is happy but messy, like real life. On the other hand, I was kinda reading this for a nice escape where everything works out nice and tidy. I will be reading more in this series, it was a well crafted story.

This was my first book by this author! I also haven't read a cowboy book in a long time, and I really enjoyed it.

Chloe Daniels is an actress looking for her big break. She really wants to nail an audition to be in the next film of the director she idolizes, but she has to be comfortable on a horse. Problem is, she has a pesky fear of horses left over from her childhood. So her agent sets her up with a friend that owns a horse ranch in Maryland, so Chloe can immerse herself in all things horses,

Who is Tristan Tillbridge? What does he do for a living? Who is Mace Calderone? What are he and Tristan discussing this day at the beginning of the book? Who are Zurie, Chloe, and Lena? I was miffed for a while at how Tristan was behaving, but that started to change a little after the dart game. I started seeing the real Tristan come out and it was nice. Watching the budding romance that happened in this story was that perfect combination of the slow burn and steaminess you could equate with a r ...more

If you enjoyed Rebekah Weatherspoon's A Cowboy to Remember, I think you'll really enjoy The Cowboy's Claim as well. Not only do we get a full cast of people of color, we get a different type of cowboy (as in one that is not Southern or Western), an interesting family dynamic, and a touch of Hollywood flair. I didn't really like Tristan in the beginning (his reaction to Chloe when they meet is not the best), but he grew on me as we get to know more about him and his history. I liked Chloe immedia ...more

The Cowboy's Claim was a light & entertaining read that I seriously enjoyed. Chloe is an actress who's up for a role as a stable manager in a movie, and she desperately needs to land it. There's only one problem, she's scared of horses so she goes to Tillbridge Stables to prepare for her audition, and hopefully she can figure out how to get rid of her fear. Tristan is less then thrilled when he finds that hes has to take over duties of helping the actress Chloe learn the ropes of what he does at the ranch and help her get used to horses. He's got things to do and he really doesn't need the hassle teaching someone who obviously so different from his world.

If you like a good little contemporary romance you'll like this book. I loved seeing books where people from such different worlds come together and its fun seeing the sparks fly, the bits of drama

As far as first impressions go, Tristen Tillbridge and Chloe Daniels tanked.
Chloe an up and coming actress arrived Tilbridge for field training for a part. Tristen has his hands full trying to fulfill a family obligation by making sure the stable is running smooth and safe.

They try to avoid each other at every turn, Tilbridge annual function brings them face to face. This time the pull is too strong to be ignored. I liked how Tristen and Chloe's relationship evolved.

3 stars. The beginning was rough and took a bit to get into, the middle was good but the ending was seriously underwhelming and terribly rushed. The characters were okay, they had decent enough chemistry but I really enjoyed the fact that Chloe was an actress and Tristan was a cowboy. That was fun and I loved the setting of the ranch and some of the side characters were interesting. I just wasn't that impressed overall with this one but it was a fun way to pass the time. ...more

Chloe is so strong when she is trying to get the role in this production, and she is willing to help any way she can even though she is scared of horses.
When Tristan pawns her off on others she still shows she can adapt and that kinda irks Tristan so he starts putting himself in her path again.
Their attraction is there and builds stronger and stronger.

The chemistry between Tristan and Chloe was just crazy adorable! It's but a simple romance, nothing dramatic or original, but the characters were all so exciting and lively which made for a pleasant read.

I wonder how such a good story could have the plainest ending, tho.

This is a really good category romance. Low angst. Swoon worthy hero and a sweet actress heroine, set on a horse ranch. I would probably add re-read this one.
