Loved it!

I want to see a house smashed apart by a JCB digger to reveal thousands and thousands of tiny crystals inside. I really, really need to see it.

I want an original Papillion couture gown. Most of all I want Logan Crowne to call me his star with his gruff voice.

Fake marriage books are one of my favourite tropes. The suppressed desire. The sexual tension. Crowne of Lies oozes with it. Beautiful, free spirited, artistic Ella Papillion is the opposite of the hard working Logan but she slips

A dizzying tale of love, which will make anyone a believer by the last page. Hopeful and uplifting, This book is custom fit for romance lovers. It tied up my stomach in knots, made me giddy with excitement and managed to squeeze tears of sympathy for the couple.
“Biggest lie ever told for the two biggest lie-tellers ever.”
I love Ass-Backwards stories of fake marriages, where tension and stress strings stretch taut, and almost definitely we know the couple will be in a quandary when real

Naughty was the wrong word for Logan. He was a completely and wonderfully debauched demon.

You know what I love about CD Reiss? The woman can write one heck of a sinfully sexy hero. I'm talking the cream of the crop here, people. A dirty talking god of a man. Logan Crowne was all of the things!
What’s in your head?”
“Getting my hand under your dress and finding out if you’re wet.”

Wow just wow. What did I just read??? Crown of lies is a steamy and sexy romance that will leave you breathless, I couldn't put it down for a second, I loved it!!!

If you are a fan of marriage of convenience then you definitely need this book in your life, is one of the best I've read so far. It hooked me from beginning to end and left me wanting more.

Logan, Jesus Christ, I don't have enough words to describe how I loved him, he's sexy AF, and his dirty talk, OMG, made me

It’s been a minute since I’ve read anything by CD Reiss and now I’m sitting here wondering, Why? This book was completely unexpected in the best way. CD has created a wonderful new world that will hold you utterly captivated from start to finish. Logan and Ella are Perfection as complete opposites with an immediate connection that they can’t explain.

Naughty was the wrong word for Logan. He was a completely and wonderfully debauched demon.

You know when you read an author that continuously writes characters and stories that surpass your expectations? And then you try to convey your thoughts into a review that is worthwhile, but you just can't? This is what happens with me and CD Reiss's books, each and every dang time. She has taken a trope that I like alright (fake marriage) and twisted me on my head. She created a world in which Logan and Ella can co exist and it is imperfectly perfect.

Logan Crowne is a man that knows what he

Wow!! Business in the boardroom and a freak in the sheets...Logan and Ella may have a fake relationship, but their story is full of passion, emotion, and steamy heat.

Logan is the second child in the Crowne family, but he has been running the Crowne empire for quite some time. However, when his father (who still is a major shareholder in the company) lays down an ultimatum that he has to take time off and get married Logan is less than pleased. Logan sets out to find a partner that would work out

Prepare yourself for one demanding, dominant alpha hero because this book is smoking hot. Intensely steamy, this marriage of convenience romance features some excellent writing and a complex relationship that evolves as the story goes on. While it took a different direction than I expected, the strength of C.D. Reiss' writing gave this plenty of depth and made for one powerful read. If you like a romance that's angsty, sexy, and intense, this definitely delivers.

The story follows Logan, a

I am a sucker for opposites attracts and add in a marriage of convenience and I couldn't wait to dive in! Logan Crowne has worked hard to learn the family business and to eventually run the Crowne Empire when his father stepped down. His father now wants his workaholic son to relax and live a little, and to also find a wife before his next birthday as a condition to stay in charge. With help from his good friend Mandy, they find someone who is totally not Logan's type, and who won't create drama ...more

Every time I read a CD Reiss book, I walk away wishing there was just one more page to read, one more moment to spend with her characters.

One of the things I appreciated the most about Crowne of Lies is Reiss's consistency with her characters. You know, without hesitation, that Logan and Byron are part of a family, raised by the same parents. They have learned from watching their father and mother what they need to do to create a happy, contented, mutually supportive marriage.

They learn from

I have to say CD Reiss is one of the few authors who manages to get steam, plot and emotions balanced in a book. For me anyway. I'm all for marriages of convenience as this one starts out. A business deal even. They're totally not the others type and that's intriguing for Logan. Ella is nothing like his usual. Ella is an artist, free spirited and fashion lover. Logan workaholic and straight laced, tightly wound. But they are also more than that it seems. Their whole spiel is well crafted though ...more

I’m loving the world of the Crowne Family.
Ms. Reiss delivers a complex beautifully written story of two people who are so vastly different than one another. Yet so similar.
Logan is a successful businessman.
He basically has it all.
Good looks, money and a family who loves him.
He lives his life for his work.
And therein lies what will be the beginning of many dominos falling.
Ella is the daughter of a famous now deceased fashion designer.
The life she is living is not what she had envisioned.

One of my favorite things about this author is her ability to create characters that evolve throughout the story. They always have a certain charisma to them and even though they are magnetic and one of a kind, they still grow to be more. That was most assuredly the case in this book. She took an often written trope and made it special and unique.

From the last book, we were introduced to work-obsessed Logan and it was just inferred that he would discover what it was that his father

From the first word to the last Crowne of Lies is the perfectly imperfect love story that is perfect in every way.
Logan Crowne wants control of the family empire but before his father will grant him his wish he must find a wife, enjoy life a little more and take it easy. Which is easier said than done. Enter Ella Papillion. She doesn't need a husband but does need someone who can give her the means and power to take back her father's fashion house from her wicked step-mother (don't you just

A marriage of confidence, for a year, that must be believable, with No Feelings. It’s a good thought when both parties don’t spark when seeing each other. But when there is some explosive chemistry between the Mr Logan Crowne and Ms Ella Papillon, no feelings is hard to do.

A fake marriage in the Crowne family. Start with Daddy Crowne giving ultimatum to Logan to lighten up, have a life, for Crowne bussiness isn't everything in life. That he need to find his own happiness.

I’m not going to lie, I’m not a fan of marriage of convenience. I really loved Iron Crowne so I decided to give this one a try, and I’m so glad I did. I was drawn in by Logan immediately. He was such a workaholic but he was such a good man. He was driven and was being forced into finding more out of life than just work. In the past his relationships failed because he was married to his job, and that is how he lived his life until he realized he could have more.

Logan is a workaholic. He is driven to run his father's company and will not lose control to his older brother. Ever since he was offered to train as his father's replacement at retirement, Logan has kept his focus on doing a fantastic job.

This is why when his father breaks the news to him that he wants Logan married before he will consider retirement, the shock of the announcement has him reeling. In the meantime, his father has asked him to take a few months off to learn to enjoy life. And to

Whenever I start a book by CD Reiss, I know a few things: expect the unexpected: complex characters whose internal reflections and actions will capture my attention thoroughly: beautiful prose with language that is delicious to read...and, yet again, this is exactly what I got. One completely enthralling read in which the standard tropes are upended and remade, a complex love story with characters that are so interesting, so demanding of my attention that I can only wish for the words to express ...more

I try not to rush through Reiss's books because there's always so much nuance and I never want to miss those little details. I was successful in that endeavor, but it wasn't easy.

I knew Logan was going to be a fun one when we had playful glimpses of him in Iron Crowne. He isn't always as stuffy and boring as he thinks. Hardly. Sure, he might be a workaholic. More than might. But... he certainly makes time for play.

And Ella is a refreshing juxtaposition to his character. She's this

I really loved the Bryon and Olivia's book but I have to say Logan and Ella's story was my favorite! I loved how Ella stepped up to help Logan with his ultimatum and Logan agreed to help Ella with the one thing she wanted most! I can not wait for Dante and Mandy's story! I believe this will probably be an explosive book!

Logan's dad has given him an ultimatum in order for him to take full control of Crowne Industries. Logan doesn't want to take time away from his job that he lived and breathed,

Move over Byron, the crown belongs to Logan!!

Crowne of Lies finds Logan with quite the problem. In order to take over the family company, something that he's been preparing for, he has to get married. The reason: his dad doesn't want the business to be the only important thing in his life.

Logan did what he thought was the best and quickest way to reach his goal.....a fake marriage with Ella.

LOVE love loooove this. CD Reiss writes stories so beautifully that it makes me wish my reviews could express my love for them in a better way. But I'm just me, so here are my thoughts....

The best word to describe Crowne of Lies is tension. You feel it throughout all the pages. I mean, it starts out with Logan already in a tricky spot, which we all saw coming at the end of book one, but if not, you could read this on it's own and not be lost. Then of course there's the marriage of convenience

"Time could only be measured in stars while he kissed me."

I love this story! I really had a hard time falling for Logan, and Ella too. It's like they were both fighting the inevitable. They're each stubborn, bullheaded and only see what they want to at the time. I found myself screaming at my tablet, like "what are you doing?!?" Christine writes such strong leading characters.

It all began as a hoax that would benefit them both when it ended... but how could they not fall for one another? The

I couldn't wait to read Logan's story after I first heard of him in Iron Crowne, fake fiance can really be interesting. I thought the beginning was interesting...your dad telling you that you have to get married. Logan and Ella were certainly fun to read. I also really love this cover too!

Well these Crowne family stories are my cup of tea. I didn't think Logan and Ella would become my favorite so far but they did. I absolutely adored Logan, having all his structured life panned out and then having it all ripped from underneath was a refreshing read. I am in love with the series and I can't wait to read the next one, I so want to see what happens next. A phenomenal 5 star read!

Logan can be a charmer when he wants to be, “Ella is my business.” He put his arm around me and kissed my head. “You can have her later. I planned to take her bowling after breakfast.” The man likes to make bargains, “flip it.” I pointed at her. “Heads, you suck my ***k, tails, I eff you blind.” I liked this book, I loved Logan.
