This book is a treasure for one and all who seek wisdom and peace. It would also be a treasure for those who might wish to seek such gifts, but do not. It is for everyone longing for change and/or transformation... something we would all be well advised to pursue!
Everyday Buddhism is an invitation to improve one's own life. Written in a very down to earth style, the author skillfully presents the kinds of issues we all face and offers the reader pathways to shift behaviors and practices. What I love is that Haylett does not write from "on high" as one with all the answers. What I love is that she is the one that can articulate the questions and offer options in ways I know that I do not always think of myself.
To that end, it is like being invited on a journey with a dear friend. You may start out wondering why you are doing this, but before long, you are enjoying every step of the way. Everyday Buddhism is an invitation to a better way of living, without feeling like you have to be a spiritual master. It is a book that has the potential to introduce you to yourself in ways you never imagined. I highly recommend this to people of every faith or not faith and every stripe!
