Jessica Goodwin. My next-door neighbour. The woman who unearthed the pleasant memories of my first and only crush.
She is single. Seductive. Occasionally sassy.
And my sworn enemy.
Although things could have been different between us if …

… I hadn’t killed her cat on the very first day, she moved next door.
It was an accident.
Definitely an accident.
But due to my lack of

ARC. This was a different. Odin was not like anyone you will every meet. On the surface, you are thinking he is an unfeeling, rude jerk with an alcohol problem. He I’d but there is more too him. He keeps his true feelings buried. When he meets Jessica, she causes him to try to do better. It’s a long road with many failures. However, the journey is fun and you will find Odin’s behavior a little psychotic but in his own way he is doing what he thinks is best. Jessica moved from NY to Chicago to ...more

3 1/2 stars
Odin Yorkshire is a very unusual character-to say the least- with his antisocial behaviour and sarcastic toughen up approach to life. Mind you there is more to his background that we slowly discover. He has very little concern for others except, eventually, Jessica. He does care about his niece, Frankie but shows it again in an odd way. Frankie, oh boy, I wanted to wrap that girl up and smuggle her away as quickly as possible. However, she could

Odin is a complex character as there are parts of him that you will hate and parts that you won’t. He has no concept of what is deemed acceptable behavior but the fact that he is raising his niece shows that he has a heart. The way that he meets his new neighbor means that they don’t get off to a great start however he can’t stop thinking about her even if she wants nothing to do with him.

Jessica and Charlie, her son, have moved next door to Odin and his niece Frankie. Although Jessica and Odin

I enjoyed this book from beginning to end. It was a great having characters that are well developed and engaging and have plenty of chemistry. The flow of the storyline was steady and smooth.

3 Stars!

Hailey Queen is brand new to me and she's got a brand new book out. Hey Neighbour is an all-new enemies to lovers romance that'll catch your attention immediately with that flashy cover and intriguing blurb*heyyyyy it did me!*and keep you hanging on with a few laughs and some good banter.

This is more of a "it's me, not you" kind of thing with this book. I had trouble connecting with the Odin and Jessica in this book and even more trouble staying invested in their journey, from pretty

I liked the story even though at times it was hard to follow and I found odin very insensitive not just with the way he spoke to people because he was abit of a jerk not showing his feelings and pushing people away but how he go completely jealous over breakfast with Jessica's dad but had 2 practically naked women in his house. Unfortunately that is not why the lower starts this book needs a big proof read, I get some mistakes slip through the cracks and for the most part I can ignore them but ...more
Sissy's Romance Book Review
Hey Neighbour by Hailey Queen is the story of Odin Yorkshire and Jessica Goodwin.
Jessica and her son move in to a new neighborhood where she meets Odin who isn't a nice person. Their first meeting is when he runs down her family cat and has no remorse. Odin is raising his niece after he much loved sister dies in childbirth. The town knows Odin and warm Jessica away from him but what can she do since she is committed to live in the house. Odin and Jessica have an attraction they can't keep away

This was a long and funny book. You read how people have love hate relationships and laugh. Thiers was real. Its was their way of communicating they loved each other. Weird but it worked. He did the same thing to Jessica just differently. He actually cared about her feelings and did right by her. He knew that he needed to change to even keep her. She was not a saint the whole time either but she stayed with him to make sure that he was doing better. It truly takes a humble person to do the right ...more

A male character I loved to hate
Excellent story, very well written, with a strong single mother, brave for whom trouble accumulates, and whose neighbor, is infamous, unbearable immature, with a 14 year old niece who is more mature than him.
It is exciting, funny, touching, completely unpredictable because of the character of Odin, the egocentric neighbor that we discover slowly and to whom we finally forgive the excesses when we know him, even if he constantly surprises us by his reactions and

Strange story but oddly engaging

This story was a bit weird, but weird is ok. I couldn’t get a handle on Odin and who he really was so I felt a bit of a disconnect with him a lot. I wanted to love Him and Jessica together and it took a lot to get there, but I did.

I had an ARC with a lot of errors so I re-reviewed TBR final copy and there seems to have been some further editing so I am glad about that. A further review should be done again though.

I loved the ending and I was satisfied, even if

Even in his thoughts, Odin is a crude man, "while ogling her, I slowly sip the wine, which is doing nothing for me. I prefer soft liquor at breakfast. For the night, I prefer hard, just like my * **k is right now." Wow Jessica knows how to spoil her man, “want to strip down to our underwear, and binge watch Netflix, eating pizza, while I run my foot up and down your leg.” I liked this book, okay, I kinda found Odin to be, quite frankly kinda dumb. It was hard for me to like him when he always ...more

Odin and Jessica have a grudge against each other especially since he killed her cat. Odin is an obnoxious individual who takes a lot to get use to because of his behavior. Jessica is a single mother who has taken a stand against him. As time goes on their feelings change could the enemies turn their emotions to something positive that can lead to a happily ever after? This story will have you glued to the pages from start to finish.

This is Odin and Jessica’s story, and these two have a grudge against each other ever since he accidentally killing her cat on moving day. I must be honest and say that it took me quite a while to warm up to Odin. This is a good story which is complex, and with witty banter, humour, love, and am enemies / friends / lovers’ scenario. I was intrigued and hooked throughout and look forward to reading more from this author.

Ok so full disclosure, I had a hard time getting into the book, it was well written and the characters were awesome I just had a hard time getting into Odin, he was kind of a jerk and so it was hard to get into it. However the book is well-written and I did enjoy reading it.

I was intrigued by the character description of Odin so I had to check it out but on paper he just seemed so insensitive once I got into it. Maybe this is a case of me and not you thing.
I'm voluntarily reviewing this after receiving from Hidden Arcs.

*An ARC was provided in exchange of an honest review*

An enemies to lovers read that was funny, cute and had it’s steamy bits. Odin had me face palming at times but over all, an enjoyable read!

This is my first book by this author and while I can tell that she tried, it just seems like it needs to have a proofreader to help with the overall pace of the story. I’m going to come out and say that this book jumped around a lot. I want to list positive thing but to be honest it’s so hard. I kept going, hoping that it was going to get better and sadly it didn’t.

Right from the start it seemed like scenes were cut short and just no real build up for what was going to happen next. One example
