AA's writing is unique - the long, descriptive sentences, that hide minute details that if you're not careful you'll miss, and the subtle themes and the fact that you don't really, definitely know what happened and you need to piece it together and let your imagination fill in the blanks. The characters feel real, the setting and what's happening doesn't seem far fetched, it's deep south gothic personified. Definitely recommend reading as soon as you finish Gravediggers. ...more
