Just one night?

All she can say is yes…

“I need to talk to you.”

And this time she must resist temptation…

Sadie Slade isn’t interested in romantic entanglements. She’s been there, done that. But handsome CEO Carrick Murphy tangles things up for her—fast. Their steamy one-night stand has made them parents-to-be. And she still can’t stop fantasizing about a repeat with the

I thought this book was really good. I liked the whole aspect of her being this cool art historian and he being the aloof CEO. I did feel like they jumped into the sack a bit too early in the story. I was barely getting my bearings about what was going on before, BAM, sex. I know this is a Harlequin Desire and I should expect such things, but still, it was a little too early for my taste.

I also enjoyed how Sadie grew during this book and started to stand up for herself in a lot of her

I enjoyed this story! It's a fairly quick read that is interesting and captivating. The story develops nicely and is well written. I really like Carrick and Sadie. Their path is not easy and full of bumps and fun. They both must learn to trust and get over their past in order to truly be happy.

One Little Indiscretion - by Joss Wood

This is the story of Carrick and Sadie and it is a familiar trope: they work in proximity, fail to resist each others’ charms and, as a consequence of an (intended to be) one night stand, have to deal with the news that they are having a baby. The book is part of a series (book number 2 I think) linked by the high-end art world/an auction house. There are significant emotional scars to navigate as both characters have bad experiences of being married before.

This is the second book that I have had the opportunity read by Joss Wood. One Little Indiscretion is wonderful written and all characters had their say and I enjoyed this book thoroughly.

Sadie Slade is 29 years old divorced and has a PhD in art history and has been hired by Murphy International CEO Carrick Murphy to authenticate a lost painting. While attending a cocktail party Sadie chokes on a piece of steak and is taken to the hospital for emergency tracheostomy and stays overnight. Carrick

One Little Indiscretion by Joss Wood is a sexy ‘one night stand becomes more’ romance for an art detective and her CEO client.

Just because Carrick Murphy saved her life after a choking incident at a cocktail party doesn’t mean that Sadie Slade will look at him any differently than before his family company, art auction house Murphy International, hired her to track down the provenance of a recently appeared painting as part of an estate inheritance. But when he shows up at her home to check up

This was a great first book to a new series by Joss Wood! It was a common romance troupe done with an added layer of complication for both Sadie and Carrick. There wasn't a lot of depth to the complications but the story was told in such a way you were invested in them from page one.

Sadie had married a man she thought loved her, only to face emotional abuse until she left him, but no one believed her. She was wary of men and Carrick Murphy was no different. His reputation through a mutual

It's been a while since I've read a Harlequin romance and I thought this one was very good! Very well written and drew me into the story.

After nearly choking to death at a party, Sadie Slade is only thinking of living. When her current employer, Carrick Murphy stops by to check on her, things get very hot when he backs her against the wall and proceeds to kiss her. Sadie has been attracted to Carrick since she signed on to research a painting for a client and with her near death experience, all

4 1/2 STARS!

Sinfully sexy! With the first book in her Murphy International series, Joss Wood brings us a few familiar faces in ONE LITTLE INDISCRETION. For those that read the author's Love in Boston series, you'll recognize the Murphy family that is the centerpiece of this series. The plot is intriguing and the characters captivating.

Sadie catches a reader's eye immediately because we hear of her brush with death and quickly watch her connect with the man who didn't leave her side during her

I’d started falling in love with the Murphy brothers during their sister’s book. (Second Chance Temptation – part of the author’s Love in Boston series.) I knew right then and there that I needed to read more about this family. Carrick’s whirlwind romance with Sadie is filled with all kinds of ups and downs, along with a few loops on their emotional roller-coaster. Each member of this pair is carrying around a whole bunch of “bad marriage” baggage that’s constantly tripping them up. I loved ...more

You totally get where Sadie is coming from where she is torn between her attraction to Carrick and what she has heard about how he supposedly acted during and at the end of his previous marriage and Carrick is tight lipped about what really went on. But Sadie is also a smart women and knows to take things with a grain of salt but that doesn't mean mixing business and pleasure no matter how much Carrick seem to want it. This was a great read that had characters you liked, you thought were nasty ...more

New author for me. Flow was good but I did feel the characters could be more developed. It is not indicated but maybe this is part of a series as there are secondary characters that are introduced. There are parts of the story that only include those secondary characters and have no interaction with the main characters so this leaves me wondering why those parts in included in this book. Additionally, there is a slight mystery regarding an object that is never resolved; again, that leaves me to ...more

Wow another great book by Joss. I have read many of her books and I have enjoyed every single one. Sadie and Carrick spend one hot steamy night together and neither can forget about it. Then Sadie has a surprise that she needs to tell Carrick but how will he react when they have so many secrets between them. I definitely recommend you read this book and others by Joss as she is an amazing author and talented writer and you will not be disappointed.

Before I get into the the main characters, let me just say that this is one of the BEST set ups I’ve ever seen for future books in a series.

I mean I can’t wait for the rest of the family’s story to be told, it is quite masterful to see how Mrs. Wood set up the series & bravo .

Carrick and Sadie were fun, their push/pull and angsty back and forth was scintillating . I loved Carrick he is really well written, the aloha male/vulnerable man is A+.

This story is worth all your time and I think you

Will Carrick and Sadie’s one nighter break the molds they each had for their futures
I loved this quick read about the inability to deny an insta-attraction despite the rumor mills and the complications it brings into the work place. Carrick and Sadie may struggle to keep it professional in the work place, but behind closed doors, the steam level rises! I enjoyed how the characters had to figure out if they could ignore the rumor mills and trust one another for their happily ever after!

Great addition to the series!

This book was such a great addition to the series. I loved Tanna’s story, and I’m happy we got to hear more about one of her brothers. Carrick and Sadie were great characters, you could tell how much they wanted to overcome their own issues to make it work with each other. I liked the introduction of the next story line with Joa, and you can see lots of possibilities with the other characters too. Looking forward to more in the series!

This is the 1st book I've read written by Joss Wood; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I can’t wait to read more of her books.

The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.

I loved the chemistry between the characters.

Two divorced people.

Carrck is slightly damaged after his long ago divorce, so he only dies I’ve night stands.

Sadie is working with him to authenticate a piece of artwork. She’s also divorced.

They hook up but that one nighter has consequences. Like a baby.

I liked that the characters knew themselves well.
