Dr. Schauss has spent over 15 years studying the acai berry and has extensive research to prove that it is currently the world's superfruit. Acai has very high antioxidant levels (over 10x higher than blueberries), good fats, and heart healthy plant sterols (which reduce cholesterol).
The book itself is not the easiest read. There is so much science in it, that you've got to have serious purpose in reading it. I read it because I distribute the top acai drink in the world, that was developed with

While technical at times, and not an easy read, this book explains the science behind the acai berry. This amazing food has huge health benefits but only if it is processed properly and used the right way. Dr. Schauss traces the scientific research that shows how acai can benefit all of us.

Not a great colorful book with nice illustrations or pictures, however, very informative as an introduction and becoming familiar with the process.
