Lokeshwar has thought through this story before writing it. I found the story to be very alluring and practical. I was pleasantly surprised to note that one of the characters is my namesake.

It made me nostalgic and I wanted to meet my school buddies. The language is easy and story very believeable. A nice ending.
I took sometime to read this book since i wanted to give it some time to settle in.
There are some language issues, but these are not a hindrance.

A great weekend read.

A friend like you is A very interesting story, it tells about the bonding between two friends.I really mesmerized when I flow with this story. I liked nithya role very much... Santhosh and nandhini characters sets well with bonding of friendship.... Break up.. It's not only hurts for couple of lovers..even friendship break up hurts moree.... How the way author explore the feelings of friendship between two friends ( girl and boy) it's awesome.. Congrats author... Keep it up and continue ur flow as a falls..

'A friend like you' is the story of three friends, Santosh, Nithya and Nandini. It takes us through their journey right from their school years up to adulthood. Santosh is a simple boy who values his friends very much like Ganesh, Paanch, and especially Nandini who supports him like a rock since childhood. Whenever there are clouds of trouble hovering over his life, Nandini is always there for him. As they grow up and diverge for their respective careers, Santosh and Nandini always keep in touch like best friends. One day, Santosh meets Nithya after many years and falls in love with her even though he and his gang had made her famous as the Devil Queen in school.

Will Nithya agree to his proposal?
How will their blossoming love affect the chemistry between Santosh and Nandini?
Will their friendship withstand rough times?
To find out the answers, read this beautiful, emotional and true tale of love and friendship and you are guaranteed to be deported to your own times of growing up as a youngster, falling in and out of love and struggling through the initial phase of career.
The best part I liked about the story was it being a true story hasn't been manipulated for the sake of adding masala.
Also, as the story revolves mainly in Bangalore, I was reminisced of my wonder years in the IT city that has a soul and vibrancy of its own.
The part where Santosh appears for the campus placement was funny and young guys going through a similar phase will like it for sure.

Overall, A Friend Like You is an unmissable read this summer.
