What I Loved:
This book is focused on helping a young child learn tools for handling their emotions. I loved that these actions related to animals. I think that a tool that connects to something they already know will make it much easier to remember!

How I Felt:
My Sisters Super Skills is written to help children learn coping mechanisms for emotions. I liked that this is written as an actual story. My daughter was very engaged in the story, following along and learning with David as his sister

It's been some time since I read and reviewed a cute little children's book so I was super excited to have the chance to review one. I was even more excited to see it was one to help young children cope with having frustrated emotions. I have two teenage sons now, but I would have loved to have had this book for them when they were younger. They often came home from school frustrated, or upset that someone was being a bully to them. This book is just what they would have needed! Each page has a ...more

What a unique way to interact with children about their feelings. Through the eyes of a child, Author Lauren Bosback does an amazing job of speaking to children everywhere about any problem they may be facing. Whether you are feeling sad, out of sorts, or things just didn't go your way, big sister Lily will tell you just what you need for inner strength to get through whatever is bothering you.

It's ok for children to have negative feelings, and that is the beauty of this book. If your child it

This book has been a fun and entertaining read for my daughter and all the while she is learning important life skills that she can use now and throughout the rest of their life. I know there will come a time when my four year is less receptive to my life advice, so its even more important that I act now by helping her learn how to cope with the ups and downs in life. This book helps me do just that. It teaches kids how to navigate the tough emotions that they may feel on a daily basis with ...more

Thank you to author @laurenmosback for a review copy of this book.
My Sisters Super Skills is a great resource for teaching children coping skills. This brother/sister duo takes you through fun ways to get through big emotions. I love the idea of using animals to encourage these skills. We tried each strategy together. (Swipe to check out this big sisters strategies.) So far my kids favorite strategy is dancing like a monkey!
Tomorrow will be a fresh start. That is written on our kitchen

My Sisters Super Skills is a great childrens book. It does a wonderful job of colorfully and eloquently expressing the issues children face as they begin to comprehend human emotion.
By using familiar animals and scenarios, children learn to use simple tricks to manage and better understand their emotions and needs. Its not only a great book to have on your familys shelf, but one you should always have ready to open up and re-read as your children mature and grow.
