For months, I've been chased by a red dragon. They're the females of the dragon shifter invaders, fierce and vicious and as ruthless as they are wild. She hunts me wherever I go, and I'm not safe even behind the walls of a fort. There's only one thing I can do to stop her…

…And that's to take her as my mate.

But to win the heart of a female dragon, I have to conquer her

1. I swear that if this dude will say “baby girl” one more time I will strangle him.

2. Two books before we find out that there is some big danger. That it is coming to the Earth from the Dragon world through the Rift and now it is not even mentioned? Again?! Not just in the book before, but in this book is nothing too about it?! Really?

3. This book wasn’t like the rest of the series where we always had dragon male & human female, so I was curious about this book, ‘cause we finally got

For some reason I stopped reading this series after the 3rd one. But when I came to know in this book heroine is the dragon I was intrigued. And I’m soooo glad I read this.
I absolutely adored the heroine. She was both fire and vulnerability. She was bold, fierce and protective. Just what I imagined a drakoni women will be. Author wrote her so well. She also loved babies.

Same goes for the hero. He had all the human qualities. He was some part uncertain, modern, free spirited, kind and kinda of

This book was a sweet little read. Nice to switch to a female dragon. Gabe was a fantastic H and Teva managed to be a fierce dragon but lovely human.

I'm just going to be honest here. I'm not entirely sure I enjoyed this. Parts were entertaining, even funny. Other parts were unnerving and took me out of any comfort zone I was in. I alternately liked Teva and felt sorry for her. Gabe was extremely unlikable to me. So, maybe 3 stars, but that's probably being generous.

I have been wanting a female dragon story in this series and Ruby did not fail me!! Teva was discussed in the last book because she was attracted to Gabe who was a big part of the last book but not a main character. I loved that we knew Teva and Gabe have a connection but it was in no way an easy connection. I can only hope more dragons speak to Ruby Dixon for more stories in this series, I wouldn't even be against a time jump for a few books about the possible children

This is definitely my favourite book in this series so far. Loved the change in storyline with Teva being a female dragon. Really hope we get more stories for female dragons.
I was, to my utter surprise, disappointed with Fire In Her Eyes.
First off, its characters didn't call to me like in previous stories. Gabe was most of the time just a dick in a good-guy disguise. And Teva was horribly bland for a dragon.
Second off, the previous book ended up with on such great revelation, I expected this story to move miles and miles in the main plot but instead of a full-filling soup, I got a teaspoon of lukewarm salted water.

It was a surprise that Ruby did a book with a female dragon. I wasn't sure what I would think about the book but ended up really liking it. I do recommend you reading the book before this one because things happen in that one that tie to this story.

Teva is a female dragon and she becomes obsessed with Gabe. She seems to follow him everywhere. Circumstances change and she and Gabe are able to connect. I don't want to give too much away from the other story. One point to know is that she is a

Quick Review: Gabe, oh, Gabe! He's officially one of my favorite heroes in this series! Now, Teva... Our first lady dragon... She was annoying the heck out of me, BUT, in the end, I wanted to be her friend. She's a badass! More dragon books, please!

I’m in like

I didn’t love this story, BUT I did like it very much. This dragons/drakoni series is starting to give me the Ice Planet Barbarian feeling of its time to end it.
When I finally got around to reading this, I was kinda shocked to realize we are at book 7 now. Book. Seven.
There’s clearly a lot of ways this series can go and it has the potential for so many stories to be told.
Will we finally learn about our Salorian villain and his mate that was promised a few books back? If Claudia’s baby

OMFG I'm crying. I have been waiting what feels like forever for this book and I am gutted... That it's over. Ruby once again hit it out of the park and the extra time spent on this book was so beyond worth the wait. Since the first book in the Fireblood series, I have wanted a Red Dragon story. The Reds are the female of the species and the most feral amongst them. Seemingly the ones that will never be able to be tamed and or mated, particularly to a human male. But Gabe, sweet Gabe who we've ...more

Finally, a look at what if the alien was a girl! I liked it initially because it was different, I loved it in the end because the story was just so easy to get lost in! Teva has been an interesting character from the first time she appeared in the series, and Gabe was the perfect pairing for her. I loved the build-up to them coming together, but I was especially drawn to her humanizing, and the fact that it didn't diminish her draconi self. There weren't really any outside antagonists in this ...more

I have stayed away from Ruby Dixon's books for awhile now after reading I think about three books in her ice planet series, because they all were pretty much exactly the same and I got bored, but I'm glad I read this one! I haven't read any other books in this series yet, but I decided to read this one because it is a girl dragon this time, which is a definite change of pace compared to the other books. This was a great book, and although I haven't read any others in this series yet,

I have been interested in the female dragons since the start of this series and I’m going to say that the author did not disappoint. Teva was everything that I was hoping for when it came to a red Dragon. Gabe was amazing in the last book and I am so glad that he got a HEA. They both found their way and purpose and it was just an amazing journey. If you have loved this series then get read because you are going to fall even deeper in love with these characters. Bring on more dragons because I ...more

This is a huge hit for me, lately, the dragons were not really calling my name however this one was a great read.
This book to me was about thinking that things are easy, you meet your mate, you have kids and everything is great and from the male perspective, it is about helping the girl get her act together, have some fun, move on. :-)
Realizing that it takes more than that, that is understanding the other person, that is about giving them what they need so we could get what you want,

I loved this one...

I know a lot of people didn't like this one, Ruby, but I disagree. I really enjoyed it. I straight up cried when Gabe was reunited with Scooter. I got emotional when Charlie called him "son." Gabe is the perfect book boyfriend. He made this book perfection. Not that I didn't like Teva, she was fierce and beautiful too. Great book. Xoxo

I love all the dragon books and literally devoured all of them. This one took me a minute to get into but once I did...! Teva is literally my favorite! I really hope you have a few more books in you for this series! You didn’t disappoint!

Omg I want another book!
DNF @23%...

OF COURSE Teva has never had an orgasm. After all of the Mary Sue virgins and TSTL brats in this series, Ruby Dixon finally gives one of the female dragons a book and she's never actually enjoyed mating.
Gabe was nice enough but aside from him giving off Dr Doolittle vibes, I didn't really get a sense of him as a character.

This series has been so disappointing.

I was so glad to read this story. When I read the review I was only curious whatever it be like to read about a female dragon. That is pure fun because I liked Teva. She is strong but vulnerable and the hero is only human, but he is soo smart and kind and that is the reason I think I do like that couple soo much. There is also a quite interesting new facts about life in the dragon world and really I'm starting to be curious what happens there too. I would be glad to read a story that happens in ...more

So the dragons have not been my favorite Dixon series but I was desperately excited for this installment because...GABE! How could you not love Gabe!?!?! It didn't take long for me to fall in love with Gabe from the last book. He's all sweet, caring and concerning. He just seemed like an awesome guy. And we finally have a FEMALE dragon!

I was maybe a bit too excited because I did like it, but I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would. Don't get me wrong...I read it as fast as I could, but a

FINALLY! I have been waiting to read about a female drakoni. I was getting tired of the males because the story is almost the same every time so Teva and Gabe's romance was a nice change. We finally got to get a clearer understanding of the female drakonis.

Of course the Salorian had to put his noes where it doesn't belong and stir up some shit but thankfully no real damage was done.

I am so happy for Teva. She had a really hard time at first and I can't blame her, it was all new to her and she

The difference between love and obligation

Ruby Dixon continues her wonderful Fireblood Dragons series with the story of the crazed red female dragon who stalks Gabe and terrorizes Fort Shreveport in the process. Gabe was a good guy before the Rift opened and let in the mad dragons who nearly wiped out humanity. Post-apocalypse, he's still a good guy, helping out with the plague outbreak (and getting dragon-blood transfused to save his life), caring for the elders left behind and even providing
Yesssss...the lady dragons aren't as completely lost to the madness as their actions would indicate. Although if I backtrack a little, the golds are all bonkers before meeting their special someone, so maybe I should have figured this out before. BUT I DIDN'T and watching Gabe and Teva come together was pretty darn awesome.

So. Gabe has his lady stalker dragon following him around. He figures out that he needs to do something to keep her away from the fort before she causes irreparable damage to

I'm going to be real, I was SUPER skeptical about reading this. Why? Because I assumed it would be difficult to relate to a non-human heroine. Boy was I wrong.

Some say this was a slow burn, but personally I found this to be perfectly paced. It was a new perspective because we now have a male human and a drakoni female. It gets complicated because how does a human tame a drakoni? Not without some brains that's for sure.

I found this slightly beautiful, which probably wasn't the authors intent.
