I know I had a good life before. If only I could remember it. I couldn’t sew, I couldn’t fish, I couldn’t hunt, I couldn’t cook, for goodness’ sake I couldn’t even tell the hallucinogenic mushrooms from the non-hallucinogenic ones. The list of Things I Couldn’t Do was uncomfortably long. There was, however, one pretty big thing I could I could heal people with just a touch of my hands. I didn’t understand it, nor did I know why or how I came by this ability, because here was the other I had no memory. Nada. Nil. Zero. I had simply awoken on a beach, about two months ago, with my name rolling around my head, but that was it. My name was all I knew. Just my name. Meda.

Misplaced: Joined: Book Two by Mara Gan is a fantasy romance and a great read. It is well written and is unique in its telling and the rich and vivid world that Mara has created. The plot is well done and there are twists that you don’t see coming. It is full of mystery and intrigue, lots of action and drama, adventure and suspense and evil but hope around every corner. I loved the first book in the series and was not disappointed with this one either. I found myself losing sleep because I was unable to put it down, I just had to know what was around the next corner. The characters are written beautifully and are well crafted and oh so endearing, so much so that I found myself laughing out loud on many occasions at the banter and their actions.

Meda awakes not know how she got where she is, where she is and even if that is her name. She finds herself alone and having to carve out a life for herself in her strange surroundings. Managing to keep herself alive, barely, she sets out to help those in need without a second thought to her own safety. She is a true pleasure to read about and her antics. Will she ever remember the life she had before?

Kyros is more than he seems, he has many names. He lives a privileged life but one that is not truly his own. He is a Mercenary and a finder of treasures but finding those treasures are not as easy as it seems. He is grumpy all the time until he finds himself drawn to a selfless, caring and wonderfully strange beautiful woman tied to a pole but that is the least of her problems it seems she finds herself in all sorts of trouble and he finds himself at her rescue more often than not.

Overall, this is a great read and I am anxiously awaiting to see what happens to Meda and Persius.

Misplaced by Mara Gan is the second book in the Joined series from her. I loved the first book and was very anxious to get my hands on this one to see where things would go next. I would personally recommend that you read the first book before diving into this one or you may find yourself a tad confused at times. This book will be the one you want to carve out some time for because it is so fast paced and full of action that you will be anxious on the edge of your seat to find out what will come of the characters you have grown to love. I know I did and was awake slightly past my bedtime to read the end.

This one finds Meda awakening very confused. She doesn't even know if her real name is Meda. Regardless of her situation she becomes influential in protecting several others. I loved how she was so selfless and inviting as a character. I could totally see myself being friends with her if she were to be real. This book is sci-fi of sorts but also includes some realistic historical facts that enhance the story to make it feel that much more realistic. I loved how I never felt overwhelmed by made up names etc, something I often struggle with in this genre of books. Never an issue with Mara Gan’s work. I look forward to seeing what will come next from Mara Gan, and I am sure I will love it already!

This is the second book in this series and my favorite yet. This is a creative, well written story that pulled me in right from the beginning. The characters made the story feel realistic and they kept me turning pages. This is a story about waking up on a beach and not know who you are but have the ability to heal people just by touching them. Problem is that you don’t know where it came from. I enjoyed watching the characters grow throughout. I highly recommend this book.

Misplaced by Mara Gan a four-star read that you won’t want to misplace. This is number two in the Joined series and I would recommend you read them in order as you do get the most of it them that way. This has been a solid fantasy romance series, and the author does a great job of keeping you hooked. Meda is strong and stubborn, but strong for others and always willing to put herself out for others anything to help and heal them. As you go through the story and find who is Meda? You will enjoy discovering her story and finding her grow into herself. I don’t want to reveal anything about what happens as you do need t read the story to find out the glorious details of this story.

Misplaced is the much anticipated second book in the Joined Series by Mara Gan. I have been anticipating the release of this book, waiting to continue from where we left off in book one. To say I had high expectations would be an understatement! I adored the first book and couldn’t wait to dive into this one. I am so impressed by this exciting second instalment!! It is everything I could have hoped for, and more!!!
The story picks up a little after the climactic events at the end of book one. Meda awakes on a remote beach- with no memory of where she is, how she got there- or anything else for that matter- except for knowing her name. I won’t go into too much detail here, because I don’t want to spoil the story for you. But what ensues makes for an exceptional, and spellbinding read which any real fantasy lover sure won’t want to miss.
As it is a continuation of the story from book one- I really recommend reading the first book before beginning on this one. There is a lot of backstory, character introductions, and other important information contained in Joined (Book One), which I feel you need to know in order to fully appreciate this book.
This book has so much going for it- it has a bit of a Greek myth feel to it- but with an originality all its own. It’s a mystical and suspenseful- with mystery, drama, danger, action, adventure, brilliant world building, superb characters, intriguing storyline, choreographed beautifully, with real historical facts sprinkled throughout the storyline to add an extra element of interest to the whole thing. I can see Ms. Gan put a lot of time, effort, research, planning, heart, and soul into this story- and it really shows- setting this story apart from many others in the same genre.
As I mentioned in my review for “Joined”- the characters are really superb! They’re so well crafted, complex, and incredibly endearing. Ms. Gan’s world building skills are top notch- she has built an entirely believable, vividly detailed, rich and fascinating world in which to set her story/series- right down to intricate backstories, histories, and even languages.
The story is elaborate, and multi-layered- with so much happening, I was on the edge of my seat. That ending!!! I NEED the next book NOW!!! I CAN-NOT-WAIT!!!! My mind is reeling with possibilities- anticipating where the story is heading!! It’s set to be EPIC!!!

Thank you, and once again KUDOS to you Ms. Gan!!

A great read about theft. Meda wakes up on a beach with no memories except her name. She tries to make a life for herself on an unfamilair world and ends up stealing to make ends meet. In her own way, she does what she can to help those in need under a corrupt and tyrannical Prince. But can her meddlesome ways keep her out of trouble or will she end up in danger?
A great read. Well developed plot with twists and turns. Well developed characters like Meda as brave and bold but kind underneath. Great cast of supporting characters like the concerned Kako or the enigmatic Kyrios.
I loved the visual detail throughout the novel like with the white beaches and grass and blue sky in the sun drawing the reader in with exotic beauty. Or the volcano inside the island under the clear sky with the sound of the birds as fantastical yet serene, wonderfully written. Or with the market on the island later on full of life and people with the food and wares with their sights and sounds and smells so vivid its as if you're actually there.
A great example of world building with a fantasy world with its own geography and history, full of life and colour. The first person narrative worked well to display Meda's journey to find herself again. I also loved the use of Greek mythology with characters true to their origins and given the respect they deserve, with some new perspectives on characters like Medusa that were a lovely touch. The only issue I would raise is that it felt slow to start. It also had lot sof long sentences making it hard to read which could be resolved with a variety of sentence lengths. Overall, a great read and I would give it four stars.

Misplaced (Joined Book Two)
By: Mara Gan
5 out of 5 stars

The story Misplaced (Joined Book Two) by Mara Gan is a fantasy/romance book. It is the second story in a series, and I enjoyed it just as much as the first one. It pulled me in from the beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. I enjoyed reading about the character of Meda. She is a young girl who is strong, kind, helpful to others, and stubborn. She is someone who cares about others and does all that she can to help those who need it. Meda has found herself on a beach with no memory of her past, only her name. She has the extraordinary talent of being able to heal others. Who is Meda? Will she remember her past? What does the future hold for her? Read this book to find out. This story has action, danger, mystery, and romance. There are also many other characters that interact with Meda. Some of them are helpful to her, others have their own agenda and will do anything to make their plans succeed, and then there are those who I wondered about their true motives. I enjoyed the friendship that Meda has with some of the characters. I loved that Meda is a young girl who doesn’t think of herself, she puts others first. Don’t miss out on this exciting book. I would suggest reading this series in order. Highly recommended.

Misplaced is the 2nd book in the Joined series by Mara Gan. It follows on from the first book, Joined. I really loved the first book and was excited to see what the author had in store for Meda and Perseus next. This book was so not what I expected but I have to say that I absolutely loved it. I just could not put it down. I just had to know how this change of direction of the story would all work out.
Mara Gan has taken the reader on an amazing journey in this second book. Meda has woken up on a beach and has no memory of her past life. All she is sure of is that her name is Meda.
I absolutely loved how she and Perseus found their way together and fell for each other again, not knowing who the other person was due to their memory loss. In this book Mara Gan has written the most amazing story, with outstanding characters, some of whom you will love and others you will despise.
The story flows really well and you get totally dragged into the danger, intrigue and growing attraction brewing around these amazing characters. As well as Meda and Perseus, this book has a wonderful collection of secondary characters who have a vital role within the story and add much humour, danger, intrigue and mystery to this wonderful tale.
One thing I must add is that I’m praying that this is not the end of the Joined series as I’m not ready to say goodbye to Meda and Perseus yet.

Misplaced (Joined Book Two) by Mara Gan

4 Stars

As I said in my review of the 1st book of this series I am not a huge fan of sci fi or fantasy...I enjoyed the first book enough to read this one and I might have liked this one a little better. It's been a bit since I've read the first and I thought I was ok because most of the book can be read as a stand alone but later on some of the first book came into play and I probably should have refreshed my memory and it might have helped, but this one felt completely different and I did enjoy it more.

I really did like Meda, her character was awesome and I was drawn into the story right away with reading about her waking up and the sensations she was experiencing trying to figure out where she was, and then who she was. Her struggles to survive felt very real, and realizing her special ability yet having no idea how she got it was awesome. I loved how she set a mission to help and followed through.

The story did flow nicely and didnt feel near as wordy as the first book did. I will just say that if your a fan of Sci Fi, Epic fantasy than you will love this book. It was written very well. The whole Meda and Perseus part of the story put a whole new spin on second chances. I loved that!

I will definitely read more from this author!

Mara Gan’s Joined series is one that moves between different genres. The first book was science fiction, with a space opera feel to it. The second book, Misplaced, is a mythological fantasy set in Ancient Greece. They are held together by character and story but the world has a completely different feel to it.
I particularly liked Meda in Joined and love how her character is developed in Misplaced. She has woken up in this strange world with no memories of her past, besides her name. She is struggling to survive, going to desperate lengths to protect others and herself. The world she has found herself in is one of corrupt power and unjust rules, where doing what is right can get her into a lot of trouble.
As before, the world building was fantastic. There were plenty of recognisable figures and events from history and mythology, as well as vivid scenes such as markets and forests. I could really picture the environments Meda was in!
For me, this is a five star book. I’d recommend reading from the start of the series if you’re after a rich fantasy that will take you to some wonderful places.
I’m really excited to see where this story goes next, and how it develops further. After Joined and Misplaced, it feels like anything could happen!

Misplaced (Joined Book 2) By Mara Gan
4 Stars!!!!

This is the second book in this series and also second book I have read from this author. I was not let down. I really find that the author has a refreshing writing style that brings the characters to life. I really like how the author picked up from the cliff hanger from the previous book and the adventure in this book really kept me glued to the pages and at the edge of my seat.

I really felt myself putting myself in Meda's shoes as she struggled with amnesia. The drama and intrigue really add to the book and draw in the reader. I really like the fact that even though Meda is a princess that the author has written her character down to earth and I really found myself drawn to her character. The mysteries about herself that she needs to piece together and the intrigue that ensues really bring the reader into the book. I felt as though I was right with Meda as she goes about trying to remember who she is as she also goes about the new life she created on the planet she awoke on. I really look forward to reading more from this author and I hope this series.

Misplaced (Joined Book Two) by Mara Gan. This book is awesome. I love Mara Gan so when I see a book of her I grab it. This one is no different. I do recommend reading the first book just to get some background on the characters. This is the story of Meda who has found herself washed up on a beach with no memory whatsoever. Only her name, Meda. She is not well equipped knowing she can't sew, cook along with a whole list of others things she couldn't do but she did find out she could heal people with just a touch. Now that's amazing. As she wakes up on the beach she is alone and scared but wants to help people and along the way she meets Kyros who lives a very well to do life. Kyros has all the trappings of a wealthy person but Kyros is not happy. He's not doing what he truly wants to do with his life until he meets Meda. He is taken with her beauty inside and out. Meda has set out to help people she doesn't even know regardless of her own safety. This story is full of love, danger and fantasy. Its a remarkable book and you will be sucked into the world of Meda upon the first page!

I am sorry but I just didn’t like where this book went. I absolutely ADORED the first book so I was curious what would happen next. It had been a while since I read Joined (book 1) so I reread the last couple chapters get back up to speed. I really didn’t need to do that. This story can be read as a stand alone since there isn’t much connection to Joined until very late in the book. Even then it was confusing to me. This seems like a different story. Now as a stand alone story it is fine. Different world, different characters (to an extent) and different story.

This is the second book in this series and my second by this author. I am not sure I would continue with more. This one was too confusing to me. I keep looking for a connection between books/characters but not much was there. Once it showed up I had already moved on with the new characters. I seemed to find a lot of problems that were sewed up in the last 15% of the book. Sorry Not a fan.

Misplaced is the second book in Mara Gan’s Joined series and somehow I happened to start with book two. It feels like the book could be read as a standalone as I didn’t really feel as if I were missing something though I would always recommend starting a series from the beginning. Joined is a fantasy romance series so if that is your genre then this is definitely a good series to add to your repertoire. Also if you are fascinated with Greek mythology and history then you will find something to like with the series and the book! (I am sure Sappho rings a bell, right?)
The writer gives us Meda who wakes up not knowing who she is or how she came to be where she was at when waking up … somehow she manages to keep herself alive and carves out a life in the strange surroundings she woke up in … she has a special skill of healing people … the writer takes us on a journey along with Meda that is filled with twists and intrigue and danger so hold on and enjoy the ride!

Misplaced was a great 5 star read, I was pulled in right from the beginning.

We start with Meda waking up on the beach, the only thing she can remember is her name. We then jump ahead two months. She has discovered the past couple of months that she has certain skills that others may not understand. Meda also discovers that she can heal people. She surrounds herself with some great characters that want to help people right along with her. I really liked Kako.

Will Meda get her memory back and find out who she is?

Overall I really enjoyed this read. There is so much in this story, you won’t want to stop reading until your done. We get mystery, romance, action and so much more. We also end with a lead into the next book. This is a great fantasy read and I look forward to the next book in the series. I also enjoyed the historical notes after the story.

Misplaced was an interesting read for me, a little different than what I normally read and that made me like it even more. I was pulled in from page one and hooked on the authors great writing style. I felt like I was in Meda's shoes and was experiencing everything right along with her. At the beginning of the story, she wakes up a a beach with only the knowledge of her name. Shes soon learns that she has powers/skills that no one else has and she feels others won't understand. BUT she ends up being surrounded by awesome people that help her on her journey. Will she ever regain her memory back or should she go on with life as it is now and forget the past?
This was a great read and I loved how different it was. I am looking forward to reading more by this author and I would recommend this to anyone that looking for a interesting read!

Omg this is such a good book. Its a captivating read from the first page.

A young woman finds herself washed up on a beach with no memory of her past. All she can remember is what she thinks is her name Meda.

Meda meets Kako and together they build a life of living in a cave, stealing to survive and rescuing girls from the palace to stop them falling into the hands of the prince.

One day Meda meets Perseus at the market, she has heard stories about him but there is something between them that keeps dragging them back to each other.

This story is full of adventure, from a prince who likes to sacrfice children, a gang who finds the finds the children and want to kill Meda and a strong friendship/love that builds between Meda and Perseus. Can Meda find out what her past is and who she is? Will things change between her and Perseus if she does?

Misplaced is the second book in this series and again another enjoyable read from Mara Gan. As soon as I started this book I again was captivated by the authors writing, her imaginative writing style transported me into the story and the loves of the characters. I was really engaged in what I was reading from beginning to end. I love Meda’s character, there is just something about her that draws me to her, she is strong and stubborn yet to the people she cares about she is willing to do anything. I loved the twists and turns this story took – I definitely wasn’t expecting some of them and I was glued to the pages hoping that it would end how I wanted it to!
I would definitely recommend reading this series in order. I am looking forward to reading more from this author again in the future.

Misplaced (Joined Book Two) by Mara Gan

4-Stars

Misplaced (Joined Book Two) by Mara Gan is an intriguing romance novel. The fantasy novel takes readers into another world. Media awakens on a sandy beach with no recollection of who she is. She cant do anything but has a unique ability that makes her very different from those around her. She uses different means to gather food and that is how she meets K.

This book is very different than the first one in this series. Characters from the first book are mentioned way later in the novel which makes me feel that it can be read as a standalone. It has an easy storyline and Meda is a fun character to follow. She is sweet, witty, and smart. I loved her in this story. I enjoyed the other characters as well but she was definitely my favorite. I enjoyed this book.

I do love a good fantasy read, and Mara Gan has once again proved that she writes brilliant Fantasy Romance. This is book 2 in the Joined series and for the full effect of these books, they should be read in order!
This book has twists and turns throughout, you can never guess what is about to happen! Along with the twists and turns, this read is full of suspense, adventure, action & mystery things you always need in a good read! I was hooked with this book from the first sentence! We get another lot of brilliant characters that I love watching them grow and progress with their story.

Mara Gan creates a fantastic vivid world that is made mentally visual with her descriptive words, and I love diving into the world she creates. I can’t wait to see what else this author has to offer and what else will come next!

Misplaced by Mara Gan is the second book in the Joined series. This book doesn’t necessarily need to be read in order although I would recommend it as I feel the overall story will be more fluent.
I was excited to start reading this book given how much I loved the first. Honestly I didn’t like this one quite as much however I still really really enjoyed it. I knew early on that I absolutely had to find out what was going on and to see if Meda was ever going to discover her missing memories – and what those memories might hold for her.
The characters were all interesting and I liked how it felt as though they all played a part. The story was full of twists and turns that it kept you on the edge of your seat the whole way through. I would definitely recommend this series.

What a sweet sweet romance. It has been such a delight to read this second book Misplaced by Mara Gan. If you have not read her first book Joined you owe it to yourself to read that one first, if for no other reason but to appreciate the pure joy of a love story that happens twice to the same two people. Even if you have not read Joined, this book will stand alone. It’s a wonderful story about an ever increasing love. Meda doesn’t know anything beyond her name. Who she is, or where she came from. Whatever her situation though she is a gal with a can-do attitude. Perseus, doesn’t know why but he feels drawn to her in spite of himself. This is a feel-good love story without the distractions of steamy situations. This one was a true treasure.

This is one of those series that suck you in and you don't want to quit reading until its over! This is Book 2 in this series and I've been waiting to read more about Meda. She is one of those characters that you can't help but love how strong she really is. After waking up on the beach with absolutely no memory but her name, she sets out to find out the things she can't remember (Like her entire past). The only thing she does find out pretty quickly is that she can heal people with just the touch of her hands.

I loved that this book carries everything you would want in a book. It has action, romance, suspense, and mystery. It will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end!

I devoured the first book of the series and seriously couldn’t wait to get this second installment in my hands. I am so excited to say that Gan DID NOT disappoint. This book was every bit of engaging and fantastic as it’s predecessor. Vivid imagery and detail. The main characters were extremely well written and felt very relatable. The storyline didn’t feel contrived but rather had a natural ebb and flow that allowed the characters to breathe. I truly loved this book and continue to love this series. I am excited to see what Gan might write next - I anticipate another epic edition to my library!

I give Misplaced: Joined: Book Two by Mara Gan, 4 stars.

This was such a good book! It starts out with Meda waking up on a beach, with no recollection who she is or why she is there. She only remembers her name. But it is quickly evident that she is not like the others here.

The character building in this book is fantastic. Meda, along with her friends, are such good characters. Each one is unique, but they strive to help people as best they can. They aren't perfect, but they try to be the best they can.

The story itself is also wonderful. I was drawn into the story immediately and did not want to stop reading. The author keeps you turning pages until the end -- even then you want more!

This is fantasy/science fiction at it's best. There is love, there is action, but there so much more too. If you are a fan of great fantasy/science fiction, I highly recommend this book.

Misplaced: Joined by Mara Gan is the second book in the Joined series. This one doesn't seem like a direct continuation of the first book but there are connections revealed. Meda has found herself on the beach with no memory of anything other than her name. She has the special skill of healing people she finds out quickly. Who is Meda and how does she fit in?
This book is a sci-fi, fantasy, with romance. There is action, twists, and lots of intrigue and danger. I enjoyed seeing how Meda was going to change and learn who she is in this book. I am curious where this author will go next with the story.

Misplaced is the second book in the Joined series. At first it doesn’t seem like you’d need to read the first one in order to really keep up with this book. It’s like a standalone through most of it. I’d read the first one just to be safe though.

I liked the world building and there are a lot of colorful characters. There are places where the story is slow moving, but overall it is a pretty smooth read. I also liked that, while this is fiction, there are some historical elements mixed in. I can’t put my finger on it, but the whole time I was reading the story I kept feeling like something was missing. Still, the overall reading experience was good.

Misplaced the second book in the Joined series by Mara Gan. Mara Gan has an amazing story plot and unforgettable characters. How would you react if you were on the beach and left there without a memory? Meda can not remember much, but she can remember she can heal people with her touch. Will Meda ever figure out how she got to the beach? Will her memory come back about her ability? You will have to read this story to find out the questions to this and many more.

While this is book 2 in this series, it mostly reads as a standalone as we don't really get anything from book 1 until way into the book.
We follow Meda, who wakes up on the beach with no memory but her name. She soon figures out she is very different as she has healing powers, with just a touch of her hands.
