‘Little Bird’ is the third book in the Advantage Play series by Kelsie Rae. Just like the previous two books, it contained more drama, more mystery and even more dodgy dealings!
I can’t help but binge read every single one of these books! There’s just something about Mafia romances that lure me in, and the Romano family is no different.
In book two you learn of Regina Romano’s kidnapping, so it isn’t surprising that this book highlights her journey as one of Burlone’s prisoners. She is locked up, held captive, and fears for her life, and as the Romano Princess, she knows her fate is going to be unbearable. But what she doesn’t anticipate is trusting and becoming infatuated with the man responsible for protecting her whilst she is being held hostage... Dec.
Dex is strong, and one of Burlone’s right hand men, but he is starting to doubt the path he has been put on to follow. After years of loyalty, and seeing women snatched and abused, he can’t help but feel disgusted. He knows he’s no saint, but he also knows that he needs to change, that his disposable boss and the women trafficking needs to stop.
Having to put his neck on the line, Dex is determined to ensure Regina’s safety, even if it’s the last thing he does. But little does he know that loving her comes at a price, and is he willing to pay it?
This book was so addictive, I love Regina and you can’t help but root for her HEA. Dex is super alpha, and the way in which he takes care of Regina will have any romance lover swooning.
This book does contain references to abuse and violence, so they are for adult readers. You do not need to have read the previous books in the series to enjoy the story, but in my opinion they help enhance the full story.
An incredible page-turner with characters that draw you in. Perfect for romance lovers, people who enjoy MC and Mafia romances.
