Every woman in Millie Delacroix’s family is cursed—kind of.

Birth control just doesn’t work for them. Like ever. Going to the altar knocked up is pretty much a family tradition. And twenty-four-year-old Millie refuses to let that happen to her—again.

Especially now that she’s responsible for raising her brothers and sister. A life of celibacy is her best defense—at least

You know what? I’m happy!

This book made me so freakin happy.

It’s so cute. So ridiculous. So funny. And I freakin loved it! It’s exactly what I needed!

This was such a heartwarming light cute book that brought joy to my life. I had a huge ridiculous smile on my face while reading this book. I loved the characters so much. Millie was such an entertaining adorable caring character. And Luc is just the best! I mean I’ve already saved some space for him in my book boyfriends list! I loved

this is the easiest five stars rating i've had to give to a book all year, no complications and no hesitations. gah my heart is so full yet so light. it's brimming with joy bcs of how this book made me feel.

i knew i'd love it the moment i laid eyes on the cover. it was love at first sight. what had me so intrigued was the cover showcasing an illustration of a male builder or a contractor standing side by side with a doctor (a vet).

i mean, damn,

5+ STARS!!
Somehow, my heart has moved out of my chest and now beats inside her hands.
AAAHHHH!! So wonderful! From beginning to end, Kind of Cursed was beautiful and pure and resulted in a serious case of the warm-fuzzies.

Plot in a nutshell : After the shocking death of her parents, Millie Delacroix is thrown headlong into the unforgiving task of raising her 3 siblings. Months later, contractor Luc Valencia shows up to start work on the kitchen remodel her parents had

You know that warm cozy feeling? Like when it’s cold outside and you’re snuggling on the couch, wrapped in the softest blanket, in front of a fire, sipping your favourite beverage? Yeah, that feeling. Well, reading this book made me feel like that, all comfy cozy and wanting to stay snuggled down all day.

I feel what it means to have Luc’s love.
It’s big. I can’t touch it or see it, but I know it’s big. And it’s solid. Solid enough to hold my weight. And my fears.
This book is IT!!!

This is not spoiler free

This was fine, a cute romance that had some stuff that i didn't like, but honestly it wasn't the worst and i was enjoying myself reading it, until that last 20% that is

i wan't planning on writing a review because i went into this just to have a good time reading a romance, so i didn't take any notes or bookmark anything and because of that i don't remember a lot of the things that i didn't like and now i can't be bothered to go back and look for all the little things that

You know those romances that are just plain fun to read, in spite of the trials and tribulations? KIND OF CURSED is one of those romances and Stephanie Fournet has brought this often comical, always heartwarming tale to life with the perfect touch of happiness, sadness and quirkiness.

After the tragic death of their parents, Millie Delacroix has had to put on the mantle of responsibility as guardian to her younger siblings. When the kitchen remodel her mother had planned is finally going to
Unpopular opinion.

I dove into this expecting a slow-burn romantic-comedy filled with banter. Instead I got a course of eye-rolling exercises.

This story just didn’t click with me. There were so many instances where I was in a similar situation and reacted completely different than Millie or Luc. Rather than reading a fluff for the holidays I was slowly completing a list with everything I found wrong and got annoyed with in this book.

To be honest, I almost DNF it but only a few chapters were

I have no words for this book. I absolutely LOVED it. This book is definitely on my top reads of 2019! It has all the feels it wasn’t the usual read but to me was so amazing! Both characters were so great! I actually teared up a few times which doesn’t seem to happen anymore in books. This was a new author to me and I can’t wait to check out more from her. I want books from her siblings as well!! Check this book out today! So worth it!

This is a cute contemporary romance with an interesting plot angle. I have to admit that my biggest issue has to do with this angle, though. Millie comes from a very fertile family ... apparently. Supposedly all the women of her family for generations have gone to the altar pregnant because they are all incredibly fertile. Birth control doesn't work for these women ... they are all "cursed." Now Millie finds herself as guardian to her three younger siblings after the sudden and tragic death of ...more

I was SO pleasantly surprised by this story! I went in new to this author and was just so happy to have found this sweet, original romance.

There are so many great elements here, but from the get go the chemistry and inevitable epic love between Luc and Lizzie is there. The way that family is treated throughout is so, so good. There's no way not to fall in love with these characters, their story and want a happy ending for them!

Highly recommend!

3.5 to 4 stars.
The lower end stars for a few silly bits that made some parts a tiny bit ridiculous, yet 4 stars are fair for the most part of the book.
Very cute story, easy and fun to read. well paced and truly creates an athmosphere of thosetingling feelings in your tummy, of all the worries, of all the sweet and bitter feelings and rollercoaster of emotions that come as a package when you you catch yourself falling for someone.

I rarely do reviews, but I will gladly for this author. Her attention to detail and humor adds depth and reality to a tale of two people who fall in love, even if they don't want to admit it. The author broachs a subject rarely handled with such care, sensitivity, and compassion. As usual, it was a one nighter book for me.

Millie Delacroix is a veterinarian who lost her parents five months back to a boating accident. Now, all of twenty-four, she's working part-time and raising her younger siblings. Fourteen-year-old twins, Mattie and Harry, and eight-year-old Emmett. During one of Harry's soccer games is when she notices Luc Valencia, the older brother of Alex, one of Harry's teammates. Instead of appreciating him, she is reminded of her past, and the thing that runs through her family. And why it would

Kind of adorable!

I seriously considered giving this book 5 stars but I simply couldn't get past the misuse of Gods name. I overlook curse words, but taking the Lords name in vain REPEATEDLY was a bit much for me, although it probably won't bother the majority of readers. OTHER THAN THAT, this book was BEAUTIFUL! I loved the characters and the writing style (besides the previously addressed) and I loved the dynamics of the family. I must admit, Luca Hugo Valencia Lugo is one of my absolute

"I watch him. He watches me. And it's not awkward. It's...charged." This romance novel is filled with "charged" moments but also deep emotion. Pain, doubt, misunderstanding, responsibility, and of course, the curse keep these two characters physically apart, but for how long?

I'm a big fan of Fournet's writing. She has a way of creating depth in her characters with minimal words through her style. Instead of proclaiming Millie's embarrassment, Fournet writes "My face burns like I've moisturized

“I’ve watched you do the impossible—and do it with endless love and patience. And humor. I want a share of that. Of all of it. The responsibilities. The rewards. And most of all, the love.”

Even though books with kids are my favorite, most of the time the children/family trope ends up falling flat for me because authors rarely find the perfect balance between the romance and the family dynamic.

However, I’m happy to say that Stephanie Fournet really nailed my favorite trope with Kind of Cursed.

The story is as adorable as the cover. It's a great romance with memorable characters. I think Fournet did a fantastic job with her diversity. I grew up in a border town with mostly Mexican-Americans and Mexicans and being third generation on my dad's side I can tell you family gatherings and going to friends houses for holidays were always crazy, fun, with such good food and Fournet captured that with the Valencia Thanksgiving. I fell in love with Luc, he's patient, kind, good with

i am absolutely in love with this book holy cow let me try and put it in words

there are SO many things i adored about this;

• our strong lead, Millie, with such REAL problems and the incredible way they were written about and approached
• the indescribably gentle love interest, Luc, and how god damn kind and thoughtful he is and treats everyone with the utmost respect
• a massive thing that made this book really special for me is that the author uses real relationship problems that readers can

Very good !

I enjoyed every minute of this story ! The characters are so real , I wanted the book to go on forever . The furry part of the family is too precious . I was born in Monroe , Louisiana and I love my home state more because of the differences from other states . I was raised between Louisiana and Florida , so when someone writes about Louisiana , I can't help reading it . I absolutely loved this book because I laughed so much ! Very good story !

Kind of Cursed by Stephanie Fournet is a stand alone contemporary romance.
Meet Millie, she's a 24 year old vet and the guardian of her three minor siblings. To top it off, she believes her family carries a curse.
Luc is smitten with her from the first look. He's mexican heritage and be prepared, there'll be a lot of spanish words.
Millie has lots of responsibilities and she simply has no time for the gorgeous builder. But Luc never gives up. Slowly, bit for bit he wins her over to a beautiful and

i'm kinda conflicted about how to rate this book. this is the first time i read something from this author and i was pleasantly surprised except for two things, but first...

"She wants to know me.
And I want more than to know. I want to see. Hear. Taste. Touch.
I want to offer. Promise. Shield. Fulfill. Bind.
I want to love and give. Tonight. Tomorrow. Twenty years from now."

i really loved this characters. Millie Delacroix has been through a lot lately. she is only a 24-year-old girl in

Stephanie Fournet, where have you been all my life?

Seriously, there wasn't a single thing about this book that I didn't 100% love. Even when I had to put the book down for a few minutes (because I was so afraid of the talk that Luc and Millie were going to have...and equally afraid that they weren't really going to talk yet, that I needed to take a minute before whatever was going to happen happened because my heart was just so darn full) I loved

Kind of awesome. Talk about dimensional! Luc and Millie were meant to be. This isn't just a love story though. There's heartbreak from loss, humor, and incredible secondary characters. The basic premise is women in Millie's family get pregnant even in impossible circumstances. She's committed to celibacy as she raises her orphaned siblings. Luc is drawn to her and ends up being her contractor. Soon, we're submerged in the most amazing culture differences. Delving into Mexican family, lifestyle, ...more

I LOVED THIS BOOK! The characters are great - from Luc (the best book boyfriend ever) to Millie and her family, not excluding the exuberant Valencia clan. The romance is sweet and feels just right. The curse - which, really, isn't a curse - adds a funny note to the plot.

Kind of Cursed is a romance novel you will just not be able to put down, and while it's not exactly a holidays book, it just a perfect feel good story to read this season.
I’ve found the first book that belongs on my favorites-2020 GR shelf. While I loved Millie, I absolutely LOVED Luc.

This is such a great, fun, super engaging story.

It’s a Michelin star rated meal wherein I totally savored every page that I read. I definitely recommend it!
