Wow...Onyx Path did it! They actually did it! As a huge Aeon/Trinity fan since 1997, I had a lot of trepidation about this re-make. Onyx Path in general does an amazing job, but I was hugely disappointed in Scion 2e which shares a system with Aeon. I had kickstarted this new edition a couple of years ago and feared that my fave sci-fi game would suffer a similar fate to Scion.
Fortunately, my fears were misplaced. This is an incredible new edition of the classic game. The system is far superior (psionic powers are actually powerful now) and the setting makes more logical sense and is far better thought out. Further, it manages to inject a sense of optimism about the future while still being realistic. Overall, this is a superior game/product when compared to the original. I cannot wait to run this.
Also, it finally provides answers to setting questions that date back to 1997. While many of the secrets were revealed during the trinity publication timeline through 2004, there were still a large number of burning questions that this book finally answers. I cannot begin to explain the ecstasy of knowing these answers after waiting 20+ years.
