A movie, a marchioness of Kentshire, a marriage, a Christmas miracle and of course, murder…

It’s Christmas at Cherrywood Hall, aka Castlewood Manor, and the stakes have been raised even higher in this book. There’s poachers, accidents, a rescue, intrigue, drama, larceny, deception… and new information (and evidence) that was a total game changer.

Who doesn’t wanna spend Christmas in a beautiful English manor like Cherrywood Hall with Gemma, Kyle, and the rest of the gang? But all isn’t as it seems

This series by Veronica Cline Barton makes me think of the Patty Duke Show, popular many years ago. (Remember the “they walk alike, they talk alike” theme song?) In the show, Patty Duke played herself, a lively American teen, as well as her identical cousin Cathy, a serious and proper young British teen. Mistletoe and Mayhem: Yuletide at Castlewood Manor (My American Almost Royal Cousin Series Book 4) by Veronica Cline Barton was a delight to read. Enjoy the luxurious lifestyle of the rich and famous, the gourmet food, gallons of sherry and champagne consumed by

The story is told in the first-person point of view of Gemma, the American heiress, just like the previous three volumes. This creates a marvelous continuity that you don't often find. Gemma and the other characters experience problems as they seek to deal with mysterious tragedies, persistent

Mistletoe and Mayhem is the fourth Castlewood Manor/Cherrywood Hall story I've read concerning Gemma Lancaster and her historical connections with British aristocracy. The festivities of Christmas are about to commence alongside an exciting Royal decree. But there is trouble in store for Castlewood Manor/Cherrywood Hall. There appears to be a devious fly in the feel-good ointment of the Royal Cuisine and champagne. Mistletoe drifts into the mayhem of murder and intrigue. A good whodunit murder ...more
