Wall Street Journal & USA Today Bestselling author, Nana Malone writes Sexy Feel-Good Romance and loves of all things romance and adventure.
That love started with a tattered romantic suspense she "borrowed" from her cousin. It was a sultry summer afternoon in Ghana, and Nana was a precocious thirteen. She's been in love with kick butt heroines ever since. With her overactive imagination, and channeling her inner Buffy, it was only a matter a time before she started creating her own characters.
When last we visited Abby and Lex they were so confused about what they were, even I couldn't untangle the mess.
Abby as a character is highly relatable. She has a story you can get behind. You'll cheer with her and cry with her. She's one of those memorable people you can't not remember.
Lex and his brother are complicated. Mere pawns on a chessboard, in a game that started decades before they were even born. So many questions. So little time to figure it all out. Why oh why can this author not just go easy on me. She is one hundred per cent menace and I can't and won't complain about that. There is always room to grow, time to expand into someone bigger, some better, become stronger than anyone truly believes or sees possible.
I'm keeping this short. Not because the book was bad but so I can torment and torture; just like Ms. Malone does. Fabulous as ever. Well done.
Shy~ London Soul immediately picked up where London Royal left off which I was very happy about. But it also instantly started with the unexpected.
Nana Malone's books definitely know how to keep a reader guessing and ensure that I try never to assume I know what's going on too soon.
Lex is officially going to the top of my list of most intense leading men I've read by this author. But I loved the intensity.
I also loved that once again the final story and whole duet felt fresh and new. I enjoyed the cultural tie ins and as always I love getting to see racial differences of the two main characters handled so wonderfully.
This book had danger and suspense and steam and just great writing. I absolutely recommend this book, after reading London Royal of course. And after reading this I can continue to highly recommend Nana Malone's books.
As I read this book, I kept having this weird sense of deja vue. Then I remembered the Chase brothers had books already. London Bound and London Calling.
This book had a little angst, a bit of danger, some mystery, a good amount of suspense, and off the charts sexual tension. I really liked Abbie, Lex, Xander, and their back and forth banter. All of them were so damaged, I was surprised Abbie was the only one with a therapist.
I was also surprised about Easton. I really expected him to make a much bigger stink then he did. This book tied up some loose ends for Abbie and Lex, while at the same time it opens doors for Xander and Imani. The journey down the path to royalty should be pretty interesting. There is still a lot of baggage carried by this soon to be royal family.
I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy received from the author.

The queen of the cliffhanger is back to tie up some well placed loose ends. Abbie and Lex gave emotions quite a beating with their turbulent freefall into love. London Royal was a chaotic start for two battered warriors searching for a place to call home. Full of shocking twists and exciting turns, London Soul continues to build on that heartstopping momentum. Malone keeps minds spinning with a conclusion that as thrilling as any high speed chance and as breathtakingly, haunting as the most unforgettable of romances. There is no walking away until the last chapter has been read.

London Soul was a great conclusion to Abbie and Alexi story, they have come a long way from trying to see if what they have is real to fighting to be with one another. Both characters are fighting their own demons and they both go on this journey of becoming better people for the sake of their relationships.
London Soul had a little bit of everything we love about Nana's writing, witty comebacks, extreme sexual tension, crazy plot twist, and thrilling conclusions. I also feel as though there is still more to come, though it was a conclusion on how they met there is still the current issue of them becoming royals and I am hoping that Nana explores this even more in the upcoming books.
What I am liking a lot about these London series is that we go back in time to see how the couples met, we knew from the beginning that they would be together, we just didn't know the whole story. I am now in complete shock with how Nana ended this story in the epilogue, I can't wait to see what's in store for Xander. I am also intrigue by him, he was definitely portrayed very mysterious between both books, so I want to know if this Chase brother can bring the same intensity as his younger brother.
This is book two in Lex and Abbie's story. You need to read book one, London Royal first. These two will really tug at your heartstrings as their story continues. It is so easy to get swept up into the story and become completely invested in this couple. The storyline grabs and holds your attention well with a complex blend of emotions, drama, twist, secrets, romance and steam. You really have to feel for this couple, they have so many obstacles to overcome and trials to survive on the road to a HEA. I loved this incredible emotional romance. I am electing to post a sincere review.
I already read this series when it was London Bound, Nana Malone just updated it to fit in with the Royals and Winston Isles crew. For me London Royal and London Soul was just a reminder of what I already read. The only thing that changed that I noticed was ending, which was exciting. If you have not read London Bound and London Calling then I highly recommend it. Alexi and Xander are a little removed from Winston Isles crew. Nana Malone gives you suspense and drama. I wanted Easton to cause more problems and mayhem. In my opinion Nana Malone missed out in not doing this. I loved Alexi's journey and navigation of his secrets. I really enjoyed how mature Abbie was in dealing with his secrets. I really enjoyed when it came time for Abbie to take control of her life she did. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader's copy.
Great conclusion! Alexi and Abbie continue to grow closer and then are torn apart. His secrets are revealed. Can she accept his past to have a future together?
This book is an amazing conclusion to Lex and Abbie's story....they are two tortured souls looking for love and peace....there are many obstacles that threaten to tear them apart....great story!!!
Holy Alexi and Abbie have a storm to weather in this book for sure. Finally the secrets come out, and what secrets some of them were. Not really what I was expecting at all, but made the story. I love the connection these two seem to have. And whhhhhaaaattttt that ending will definitely leaving you craving even more.
Lex and Abbie go through so much in their conclusion. Secrets are exposed. Action rolls. And these two fall in love harder than ever. But it's not easy or pretty because among those secrets are forces that would do anything to keep Abbie and Lex apart. Will they ever make it through all their obstacles?
Wow, this part was intense! I loved Abbie and Lex together, reading as they fell so deeply in love. This royal world of the author's is not like any other royal saga I've ever read. Each book in exposes more secrets, more lies, more hidden actions. Dang...so intriguing and suspenseful! Now I'm anxiously awaiting Xander's story. I have a feeling it's going to be even crazier than Lex and Abbie's.
Five stars! Royal Secrets. Royal Love. A Royal Romance at its best!
Ladies and gentlemen could you hear that? Pum. Pum. Pum! It’s the sound of my heart going wild and crazy inside my chest. Nana Malone, the queen of Royal Romances, has done it again. She pulled the right strings and played her game very well. She really knows how to keep her readers glued to their e-readers, making them guess all the possibilities that could happen in the story she is telling. All the assumptions made with the clues she left inside the pages of any of her books is simply refreshing and very addicting. While reading any of her books, I write all my theories about how she will be ending the series. I find it very challenging because that made me enjoy plenty each of her books.
London Soul carries on exactly where London Royal left off. We find a very confused Abby and Lex, about what they were. There were some loose ends that needed to be tied up. And that’s exactly what Nana does in the thrilling conclusion of this duet. We find ourselves lost in the whirlwind of emotions triggered by the free fall into love of the main characters. This book is a chaotic start for two battered souls searching for a place to call home. Two hearts that together are an untangled mess of raw and consuming feelings. A romance with a little bit of angst, danger, mystery, a good amount of suspense and sexual tension out of the charts. Damn the consequences and welcome the opportunity to feel loved, to trust and to hope.
If you are wondering, what to expect of this book. I will simply tell you to expect a wild torment because every secret, lie and omission will be exposed. There were many obstacles in Lex and Abby’s way that threatened them possibly tearing them apart however they overcome all of them because they belong to each other. They were two different people who wanted to belong. And these two fall in love harder than before. I loved reading how deep the fall for each other despite everything throw in their path. This Royal family is unlike any other. The suspense and the thrill to not know what will happen next will keep you to the edge and craving more and more. What Abby and Lex overcome is an example that no matter what, love always triumph. It doesn’t matter the racial differences or the colour of your skin. Love is kindness and it is never wasted.
Nana Malone mantuvo mi mente girando y girando como un trompo hasta el final explosivo, y NUNCA volveré a ser la misma. I can’t recommend this book enough. I’m definitely looking forward to the duet for the next character in the family! These royals will ruin you!
London Soul by Nana Malone was emotional and inspiring with her trademark sharp writing. The steam and sweetness run parallel with suspense and thrilling twists. Abbie and Lex will make you fall in love madly and instantly.
Royal romance is the trope of Nana Malone. She can write about the opulence and troubles of royal lives so easily and simply that they feel like people we know every day. London Soul proves it once again. Lex may be one of the closely related prince of Nomea but he is like any other guy. A hot , attractive, arrogant, witty , charming and sexy guy nonetheless. But he has darkness in his past and secrets in his closet. Abbie has already been hurt and abused in her past. Can she see beyond the hidden truths of Lex trying to tear her apart? What will happen to the enigmatic and sinfully attractive legendary photographer and her teacher Xander aka Lex's brother?
Abbie is one of my most favorite female lead character by Nana Malone. Her character was analysed in depth to explain and explore every fear, every weakness and every emotional baggage. And I feel really close to her. I am awed by her resilience and how she stood up for herself in face of great challenges. Their relationship is like a vital life force. Abbie soothes the bleeding and hurting parts of Lex's heart. And Lex make her feel safe, cherished and complete. The constant obstructions life was throwing in their way may have heartbroken them but they came out stronger and closer at the end. Their chemistry was nuclear hot sealing their hearts together. Of course Nana Malone created a set of amazing secondary characters who gave life and depth to this story.
London Soul by Nana Malone is a perfect combination of sexy, suspense and dreamy romance. The journey was bitter sweet and I wanted more!
To be honest, the ending of book one (London Royal) had me in such a tizzy that it wasn't until I was...2/3, maybe? of the way through the second book in the duet that I remembered how that book started. Which ties in nicely with the ending of this one...kind of. Until suddenly you're in somebody else's head--not Lex or Abbie's--and then you're looking at a different kind of cliffhanger ending.
Until you get to the end, Ms Malone gives us one heck of a second half of Lex and Abbie's story. Seriously, there's so much going on here--the fallout from the end of book one, the truth he continues to keep from her (for too long; you know that's not going to go well!), Abbie's problems with her ex and her family, an extra bit of danger you didn't even know was there (okay, I didn't know. There were some hints, but honestly I didn't see that coming...)
Plus, you know, there's some normal relationship stuff in there too ;)
In other words, this was one heck of a duet! I absolutely do not recommend trying to pick this one up without having read the first book first; honestly, you're going to want to read these back to back if at all possible.
And then you can join me in wondering how fast can she write Xander's book???
Rating: 4 stars / B+
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.
Before her I was rich, entitled, and a possessive pain in the butt. Who am I kidding? I still am. Love wasn't for me. I'd come to terms with that a long time ago. And then I met her. I was this close to freedom. But one look at her and I was caught in a web I couldn't escape. One I didn't want to escape. But then someone took her from em. Now they'll find out just how far I'm willing to go to get her back. To save the woman I love, all I need to do is expose my secrets. Secrets that will have consequences for her and the crown.
This is the second book in the London Royal Series. You have to have read London Royal first or your going to be lost. Abbie and Lex did not have the easiest time falling in love. I thought it was super emotional and had me all over the place. It was one of those book that you love reading it build to the climax or the cliffhanger but this one takes off right where it needs too and has the same building that the first book had. It will have you reading from start to finish so make sure you have plenty of time. I promise your not going to put it down and your going to be on the edge of your seat. Maybe feel like you fought the war when this one is over. You're right there with these characters the entire time. I loved it and I highly recommend this duet to any romance lover.
London Soul is the conclusion to Abbie & Lex's story, so I'm going to be very clear here, YOU MUST READ London Royal (Book 1) FIRST! The diabolically brilliant Nana Malone left us on quite the cliffy in Book 1, and because of that, I'm going to be cryptic with my review. Since this is the conclusion to Lex & Abbie's story, it felt like everything was bigger, so my emotions took quite the beating, as there was nothing easy about their journey, though when they met, you would think it would be. It was full of twists & turns, as the twists were all turned upside down, while the turns were all twisted up, and all of this chaos left me with only option, to drop f-bombs loud & proud throughout. I was on the edge of my seat the whole way as there was so much flying at me, leaving my heart racing, which took a cool minute to get it settled down, so reading at bedtime may or may not be the best time to do it. Ms. Malone kept my mind spinning all the way to the explosive ending, and I'll NEVER EVER be the same. Every time I think that she can't get any better, she rises to new levels. So, are you ready to take an intense ride to find out if Abbie & Lex get their happily ever after?! If so, one click on London Soul, and if you haven't bought a ticket to their story yet, hit that one click button on London Royal as well! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!
As always for the second book in these duets, they pick up exactly where book one finished, so the story hit the ground running from the cliff-hanger end of London Royal.
Normally my review process includes note taking in order to put my thought processes in place, but Nana Malone had me all kinds of excited because there were so many secrets and undercurrents, toxic relationships and red herrings, and, plenty of sexy romance going on, that I absolutely raced through this book in damn near one sitting!!!
Both Alexi and Abbie had so much in their past that they had to recover from, and the Chase Brothers had a dark childhood secret that scarred them both. It was absolutely tragic.
I love the way that Ms Malone can pull together plot twists seemingly out of thin air, although readers will always keep their suspicious wits about them trying to pre-empt anything that Nana can dream up. Still, betrayal comes from a dark corner, and I was surprised at the character who stepped up to the plate when they had too. Holy crap.
I have to again highly recommend these books as great reads, and I’m definitely looking forward to the duet for the next character in the family!!!! 4.5 Stars.
London. Yes, London. This was the one place that you could get lost if you wanted to. But when you find yourself face-to-face with a dream. What do you do? I can say this. It is not have the ability to run the other way. No. Not at all. You stand your ground and accept what you got coming. At the end of part one we got a cliffhanger. Well, of course. Drag it out some more. I wanted to see. Life is hard. Love is even harder. You have to fight for every step you make and to make it more you have to fight even harder. Lex finds out that sometimes just because you are rich, entitled, and a pain. Life will keep coming at you regardless. Abbie finds that even after all the world has thrown her way. There was still more coming.
I loved the previously titles London Bound and London Calling. I was sad to see their stories end. But with the new London duet from Malone. I was excited all over again. I was happy to see previous couples that I feel for. I was excited to see Malone go back to where I fell in love with her. There was no way to get around this. You must read both books to get the full story. No cheating. No skimming. You need to read it all from page one of book one to the final setting and last words of book two. You will find so much to fall for in both Lex and Abbie.
4.5 Stars! This book is the conclusion to London Royal about Alexi, who may become a Prince and his love at first sight, Abbi. There was a lot going on in the first book and in book two there is even more as we get more of the back Alexi and Abbi's back stories. Lex though is still keeping secrets from Abbi that could keep them apart. Abbi has trust issues so when she finds out what Lex is hiding will she walk away? Nana Malone does a good job of dealing with current issues in a way that helps you understand how it can affect a life. This story has a bit of everything from betrayal, intrigue, abuse and dealing with lots of trust issues on both sides.
Most of the issues are tied up by the end of the story though in true Nana Malone style, we learn of Lex's brother, Xander's issues at the end of the book. This is the set up for the continuation of the family story from a different perspective. Looking forward to reading it as well.
I voluntarily wrote this review from reading an advanced copy of this book.
I received an Advanced Reader Copy from the publisher and am voluntarily reviewing it. If you recall, Part 1 of this series ended with a bang and a cliffhanger. Don’t fret, Abbie has turned into a fierce fighter. She is strong and refuses to let anyone take her down Easton Way again. Alexi has turned into a possessive caveman when it comes to Abbie. Abbie has to figure out the difference in the anger that radiates off of Alexi when he thinks that she is in danger.
This book has a lot going on with surprises galore. It seems that as soon as Lex and Abbie get their relationship on track again, something always comes up to derail it again. Readers will love this book and pray for a happy ending for this couple that keeps running into so many obstacles.
Don’t worry we are shot back into the present with even more shocking discoveries. Nana Malone definitely knows how to keep readers on their toes. This back-in-time love story is no exception.
I can’t wait to read about Xander and his wife. Hint, hint
London soul is a suspenseful, moving, and sexy conclusion to the London Royal duet. Alexi and Abbie are still struggling with the secrets they hold close. Those secrets bring out those from the shadows who have their own agendas and could hurt them both. As Alexi and Abbie spend more time together, they can no longer deny their growing feelings. But their pasts may destroy them before they can reveal their truths. I loved how strong Abbie was, refusing to be a victim, and determined to make it on her own. My heart broke for both Alexi and Abbie as they were finally able to share their secrets. This is a fast paced, exhilarating story with several plot twists that surprised me. This story still has Malone's signature wit and banter along with her emotional, and intriguing stories that I always enjoy and that keeps me totally engaged. She also made me fall for Alexi's twin brother Xander, and I can't wait for his story now!
Never a bad ending coming from Nana Malone. While I hate cliffhangers as much as the next person, I can't help but love the build up to the HEA!
Lex & Abbie have to continue to work through the secrets that are affecting their lives and eventually affecting their happiness. They have to work on bringing their true lives/selves to the forefront and figuring out what part of their lives is worth the sacrifice.
This conclusion leaves you falling in love with another Royal Couple. You also meet characters that you want to know more about. Lex and Abbie have won our hearts and their story has quickly become a favorite!
This is definitely a great read. Nana clears up the issues that she left us siwth in Royal Soul and win our heart in Royal Soul!
4.5 stars This is the second book in the London Royal Duet series and the conclusion of Alexei and Abbie’s story. It is not a standalone. These two have been through so much as their relationship evolved with obstacles at every turn. Abbie is still dealing with her abusive and possessive ex who has remained a threat to her and Alexei is harboring some major secrets from his past. You know what they say about the best intentions…Are the feelings that they have for each other strong enough for them to tear down all of the impediments in their way? Once again, this author has written a highly engaging, drama filled intriguing storyline. Although this is the end, it really is not as readers will be left with a burning desire for Xander’s story which will hopefully be coming shortly. I volunteered to read an advance copy of this book.
London Soul is the stunning conclusion to Abbie and Alexei’s story! In perfect Nana Malone style there is a perfect amount of danger, intrigue and unexpected surprises that will keep you on the edge of your seat! Abbie and Alexei have had so many challenges in their growing relationship and obstacles preventing them from reaching their happily ever after. Abbie’s ex was always possessive and remained a threat. Alexei was keeping so many secrets about who he was and his past from her. Even though he had his best intentions, secrets have a way of coming out and threatened to ruin everything they built. Is their love and connection strong enough to overcome all the obstacles that they face? You will have to read this book to find out! This book may be the conclusion to Abbie and Alexei’s story but it is not the end of the Royals. Get ready because this book will leave you wanting more and I can’t wait!
London Soul by Nana Malone. This is book 2 of Alexis and Abena's story. Lets just say that this book did not disappoint. It kept me intrigued from beginning to end. I had forgotten how much these two were in love but Nana made sure that you can feel it on every page. I love how Alexi was able to be his self with Abbie. I love how she was able to finally see that he was not her ex and no matter what went down that they could get through it all. These two are one on my favorite couples and when they get together with the strength of their love. They set the pages on fire. My oh My the cliffhanger had me jumping out my seat and not patiently waiting to see what happens next. Bring on Xander's story.
London Soul is a great second book to the London Royal Series and for Alexi and Abbie it very much leaves you teetering on the edge of wanting to know will-they-won't-they and you're constantly wanting them to be a couple until something goes dramatically wrong and it's mostly Lex who's keeping secrets that Abbie understandably struggles with and things seem to be unravelling by the day.
I felt like I was torn between Team Abbie or Team Lex it left me completely divided with the couple until the things that broke them finally fixes them both and I'm so glad they have each other.
This is another fantastic sexy, heartwrenching story with a lot of fantastic characters in I love Nana Malone's style of writing I've absolutely loved London Soul, I really hope Xander gets his own book.
What a wonderful conclusion for Abbie and Alexi's story. These are two wounded souls who know they love and want to be together but their past but barriers in front of them. Abbie needs to learn to trust and not to run. She knows Alexi is who she wants but her past with Easton keeps getting in her way. She needs to see him for who he is not through the lens of her relationship with Easton. Alexi has been dealing with his childhood and the events that occurred. He hides behind Gemma and what happened when he protected Sender. He has years of guilt and not feeling worthy. He needs to know Abbie will love him for him. This is well written and keeps your attention, Things happen but you know Abbie and Alexi will find a way. Can't wait for Zander's story. I was given this book for an honest voluntary review
