This is one of a series of Christmas Novellas in the Wyldhaven Series by Lynette Bonner. Each one has a message and this one I believe teaches us to never give up hope. Liora has saved all year to buy Joe a new saddle for Christmas and at the last minute it looks as though it has all been in vain. This is a sweet and heart warming story of love and reaching out to those who are less fortunate...and realizing that things do not always turn out as envisioned. This is Deputy Joe and Liora's story. Liora saves all year and buys a new saddle for her husband, Deputy Joe, only to have one of the women she is attempting to help steal the saddle. You'll enjoy this novella of Deputy Joe and his wife, Liora! Liora has lots of spunk! She has been ministering to a former prostitute, Ruby, who runs away and takes a saddle Liora has gotten for Joe's Christmas gift! There is lots of excitement as Liora goes on Ruby's trail! I always enjoy Lynnette Bonner's western historical books. I received a complimentary e-book of deputy Joe's christmas saddle from the author. This is my honest opinion.
I love these little love enriched Christmas short stories. Even the hope within despair. They are interesting because they have an end but don't' feel like the end. I wonder if it's because their story does continue on just not in the book. Hmmm
Sad but Sweet
A reminder that people have their choices, and not all respond to what is offered. Good characters and an interesting plot. I suggest reading this group of stories in order.
