Un piacere da leggere! La storia continua con i personaggi dell'ultimo libro di Loresalker ed è facile da leggere perché è così interessante.

When a new book series is published and it promises to entertain right out of the gate, it can be difficult to wait for the next book to be published. For readers who have been following author J.P. Barnett, that wait has been pretty much nonexistent for, within a single year, he has released three books in his creature feature suspense Lorestalker Series. He began the year with The Beast of Rose Valley, followed up with a strong sequel in the summer with The Kraken of Cape Madre, and to end 201

What a read! This book had me reading every spare moment, and I only ever put it down rather begrudgingly. We have new characters (I am SO in love with Gabe!), as well as some old favorites (I'm looking at you, Miriam). This falls somewhat into the horror genre, but not the "I'm afraid to go to sleep because I'll have nightmares" horror. It's reads more like action-adventure with a supernatural twist.

At this point, we should already know this book is going to be a 5 star for me. I mean, LOOK WHO WROTE IT!!! .... Does the man ever write a bad book? I mean... does he? now I'm curious. Lol
Barnett did it again! He managed to write another amazing book that manages to keep you on the edge of your seat while! "The Barnett" should totally be a roller coaster name. He would own the damn thing. The man has no shame! (kidding.... maybe. lol)

The Witch of Gray's Point might be my favorite of JP Barnett's books so far (I've heard there are at least three more under contract!). Plot twists, new scenery so well described, complicated characters you can't help but love (even the ones you don't want to) all come together in an unexpected story. I've never been a fan of the macabre or of horror really, but his writing is so good I don't mind the occasional fright. Outside of the scary moments, my heart kept racing and I couldn't put it dow

My favorite of the series so far! I love the sparks of romance between Miriam and Gabe. It's a fast-paced story that kept me intrigued until the very end. A great read from a great writer! I highly recommend it.

This book was not what I expected. I hardly read these kind of story lines. But I am glad to start reading J.P.'s stories. Book three in the Lorestalker series caught me and reeled me in. I was fully invested in the characters and kept asking...What's going to happen next. This book is real! It is not cheesy or over played with the plot. The story had me enamored. I am a fan and hooked on this series!!

Book 3, The Witch of Gray's Point, shifts gears a bit. Miriam is taking a study break at her father's ranch in the Texas desert - only he's there too, with his new team of assistants. Miriam and her dad have a complicated relationship, to put it mildly, but she's convinced to stay at least the night. And that's when the skinwalkers show up - Native American demon people. Based on their descriptions and their abilities, I thought there was no way this book could have the same twist as the others

I had never read any of this author's work but after this, I will seek out more! What an exciting story. And the subtle hints of the previous tale didn't hurt, either. Loved this book, the characters, their interactions, and adventures. More please!

There are some hallmarks of Barnett's writing that you can start to see by this point in the series. First of all, his characters are just so real and three-dimensional. The third-person omniscient narrator is used to great effect, letting us not only understand some of what everyone is thinking and how it shapes the story, but also to bring some great understated humor into play. I also really love that no matter how weird or creepy things get, it is always balanced out by some sort of real-wor

J.P. Barnett grew up in a tiny Texas town where the list of possible vocations failed to include published author.
As a child, J.P. consumed any book he could get his hands on. The likes of Stephen King, Michael Crichton, and Dean Koontz paved the bookshelves of his childhood, providing a plethora of fantastical and terrifying tales that he read way too early in life. Though the effect these books ...more
