The Ercutians, an ancient race of spell casters that abandoned Earth long ago, have abandoned the ways of their elders. Their powerful magic they once used for good has been replaced with destructive spells and incantations, and their once thriving, wonderous lands have turned against them. The destruction of the Ercutian race is imminent. To heal their lands, and prolong their heritage, a sorcerer, sorceress, wizard, and wizardess combine their mystical powers to become the Great One, known to all as Thire-los. But not all is well within the Great One, for conflicting personalities brood within the single entity, and what was once Great threatens to become tainted, throwing all of Ercutia back into chaos once again.
As a reader, I have enjoyed numerous books throughout my life. As a writer, I aim to create engaging stories that captivate and leave readers wanting more. Now semi-retired, I can devote more time to writing and building a relationship with God. At the same time, I work on my creative journey. Living on a lovely island in Canada with my husband, two dogs, and one cat is a beautiful and serene environment that greatly inspires my writing. Drawing from my experiences and surroundings, too, I believe, adds richness and authenticity to my stories. Nurturing my passion for writing and exploring the realms of fiction and fantasy with dedication and creativity, I hope to continue to craft captivating stories that resonate with readers and provide them with an enjoyable reading experience.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️4/5 stars. Immediately, the world building and the writing drew me in. The descriptions of the land were beautiful and I could imagine it vividly. The story starts out strong, with such a great explanation of what is happening. Some humans develop abilities and to keep the other humans safe, they find themselves a home elsewhere to thrive. This place is magical and wonderful until small bits of cruelty start showing up. It causes a poison to damage their environment and things turn ugly and deadly. War breaks out and cruelty spreads throughout the land. 4 magical beings come together, each with different strengths, to save this world and it’s people. They become one in a body, while still separate in their beings. You join them on a journey that reveals their flaws and how easy it is to see what it means to know your strengths. And better yet, to use those strengths to better what is around you. The characters are well thought out and bring wildly different personalities to the story. The world is enchanting and beautiful and Blue was able to bring it to life so well. It’s a fascinating story to experience and I recommend it to those who love stories of Mythology or Gods and fantasy lovers alike. The content is so minimal, it was hardly worth reviewing but check out my site for the details and snag the kindle or paperback right from there. Thank you Zola Blue for the opportunity to review your book. I received it in exchange for an honest review.
The Ercutians were once praised for their good magic spells that have depleted their world's mystical resources for dark spells and revengeful incantations. Extinction is imminent so four magical beings combine to create The Great One. It is their mission to save the Ercutians before it's too late. But bickering and thirst for power threaten the delicate balance The Great One has created. Can they put aside their pettiness in order to save the world or is their extinction inevitable?
The Four: Destruction of Honor is a feast for the fantasy reader. Zola Blue takes an intriguing premise and runs with it. The world-building is not only believable but easy for the reader to dive into. The characters are well-defined and each with their own voice. The lessons are clear with a strong environmental theme which I enjoyed immensely. The ending, while satisfactory, left me wanting more. Overall, a wonderful fantasy adventure and one I recommend.
Disclaimer: I received a copy from the author in the hopes I'd review it.
Blue pens a mystical story in The Four: Destruction of Honor. I haven't read anything from this author before, and I really enjoyed it. The characters were well-developed and very integral to the story. The author's writing style is unique and fits this mix of genre. This author brings the stories to life. The pace of the story was slow when it needed to be and then picks up when necessary. There is a great chemistry between the characters, and a depth that makes them realistic and flawed, and yes, mystically interesting. The story brings in the believable, even if almost impossible. A very well-written story, and I enjoyed it. I look forward to reading more by this author. This book is a definite recommendation by Amy's Bookshelf Reviews
