The Deliciously Easy Cupcake Cookbook by Jesseca Hallows Beautiful colors of finished and decorated cupcakes throughout the book. Dedication page and cool idea how to name the title of the chapters. Intro talks about the author and what makes her want to experiment and her love of cupcakes. Parts I like best in this book are when she talks about chemical reactions with the ingredients that make a difference if the cupcake will be a failure or it will be a winner. So much important information in this section. Terms and techniques are explained in simple words and I like the section on shortcuts. Section on decorating and how to choose a frosting. All around basic the cupcake kitchen will tell you all you will need. Love shortcut on eggs - such useful information. Alternate and substitutions chart and it allows you to make the cupcake healthier without even realizing it. Note on appliances used and about the recipes are included. Each section of recipes comes with their own index. There are 75 different recipes, something for everyone! Each recipe includes a title, summary of the cupcakes, prep and total time to make. Servings and any ingredient tips are included. List of ingredients and you should be able to substitute for your healthier dietary needs: low sodium, low fat, low sugar and fresh vs. canned items. Directions are given and a frosting recipe is also included if you prefer to use that one or another. Ingredients are listed for that as well. Not every recipe has a color photo but some do. There is NO nutritional information. Like all the other sections for what they will leave you with: imagination and flavor combinations you never would've thought of. Cooking tips also are included for some recipes. Looking for a great go too cupcake and this bo ok has it and so much more. Decorating hacks is included along with a section: recipes by occasion which recipes are listed for special occasions. Measurement conversion and index are included at the end of the book. Acknowledgments and about the author are included at the end. Recipes by occasion would e a hit on our house. Fun and informative book to keep on your shelf, handy. I don't often keep cookbooks but this is A KEEPER! Received this review copy from The Callisto Publisher's Club and this is my honest opinion.
I received a copy of this ebook in exchange for an honest review. This is a visually appealing book. I got the ebook, so I can't speak for the quality of the print book. There were so many cupcake recipes, if you can't find a recipe for everyone than they obviously don't really like cupcakes to begin with. I was so impressed with how many recipes were in this book. Each recipe has a label attached for ease of finding the perfect recipe such as "contains nuts", "adults only"- alcohol involved, "diary free", etc. This is great as there are more and more people with food allergies and makes finding a recipe much easier.
There are not a lot of pictures, but lets face it, most cupcakes look the same but with different colors. There are pictures of the more unique cupcakes. The first chapter of the book has baking tips, techniques and terms so this would be a great book for beginning bakers as well as more experienced bakers.
I am looking forward to trying several of the recipes in this book when the occasion arises such as the Boston Cream Cupcakes, Bananas Foster Cupcakes-when I am feeling more confident, and the Filled and Frosted Salted Caramel Chocolate Cupcakes. This cupcake cookbook could be trouble for me and my scale. I have recommended this cookbook to friends
This cookbook is supposed to have 75 cupcake recipes and it does. About 15 of them are really building off of earlier recipes so some people might that is cheating but I want to point that the 75 listed recipes often include internal recipes for frostings, ganaches, dips, and fillings so I don't feel cheated at all.
The recipes are easy to follow if you have a basic baking or cupcake making experience. Compared to just baking plain cupcakes from a box mix and adding frosting, these are not as easy but they aren't complicated either. I'd say this is a good cookbook for a baker with moderate experience, adults or kids.
I do wish the recipes had more photographs but that is a problem with most Rockridge Press cookbooks that I've looked at over the past couple of years. I also think in this case, it would make the recipes easier if the book were spiral bound so you could lay it flat.
I was sent a physical copy of this cookbook from the publisher in the hope that I would write an honest review about my experience with it.
This is a wealth of information about making cupcakes. If it is not here then I doubt you will find it. From equipment to oven baking, the book is quite comprehensive for the size that it is. The recipes are varied and something for everyone. I am interested in trying the White Velvet cupcakes and the carrot cake cupcakes. Oh, maybe the snickerdoodle ones! Well worth the price.
What a great book with all the new and different cupcake recipes. We're huge bakers and love to make treats for the kids and grandkids so this is a wonderful way to get them involved in the project and try something new.
But not everyone knows how easy they can be to make. So for those who struggle to make perfect cupcakes, The Deliciously Easy Cupcake Cookbook is here for you. And for those who have a good grasp on basic cupcakes but want to raise their game to amazing and showstopper, this book is for you too!

You had me at "deliciously easy." What's not to love about cupcakes--especially when the recipes don't seem like rocket science?
I haven't baked any of these cupcakes yet, but I've got several pages tagged. Scanning the various recipes has my mouth watering. Strawberry Champagne Cupcakes is at the top of my baking-to-do list, and Cookie Dough-filled Cupcakes with Brown Sugar Frosting??OH EM GEE! These recipes are fun and tempting.
